Located a short walk from Ebisu Station, "Trufful" is a newly decorated bakery that specializes in truffle-infused bread. When I visited around 10 am on a weekday, I found a full lineup of their offerings. The staff, dressed in suits, provided smart and courteous service, adding a touch of sophistication to the experience. The menu includes five types of bread: Truffle Croissant, Croissant, Truffle Cheese Tart, Truffle Chocolate Tart, and Truffle Scone, each priced at 280 yen including tax. They also offer Truffle Boxes and Scone Boxes. I purchased four different truffle bread items, along with a transparent paper bag for 20 yen. The clear bag with "Trufful" in black letters looked stylish. As I rode the train, the faint scent of truffle stimulated my hunger. I started with the Truffle Croissant, made with a blend of two types of French flour, Hokkaido fermented butter, and homemade truffle butter. The crispy exterior gave way to a soft and airy interior, with a delicate blend of truffle aroma and buttery richness creating a delicious aftertaste. The Truffle Scone had a crispy exterior and a moist interior, with a gentle truffle aroma blending perfectly with the buttery flavor. Moving on to the tarts, the Truffle Cheese Tart featured a blend of Hokkaido cream cheese, Camembert cheese, black truffle, and white truffle oil on a homemade tart crust. The cheese had a fluffy texture, complemented by the earthy truffle aroma, making it a perfect snack to pair with wine. Lastly, the Truffle Chocolate Tart, made with Valrhona black chocolate and white truffle oil, had a bittersweet flavor that melted in the mouth, with a mild truffle aroma adding depth. The overall impression was of light and delicate pastries that highlighted the truffle aroma without overpowering the natural flavors. Trufful Bakery offers a unique take on truffle-infused bread, different from other famous truffle bakeries. For those who can't wait, there is an eat-in space with a trendy interior that is perfect for taking stylish photos. To avoid any inconvenience, it's best to visit in the early morning hours.
