Within a 10-minute walk from Gaienmae, near SKI JIRO. It all started with the comforting taste of clam soup. The eggplant stew, tender octopus, and Japanese-style potato soup are all delicious and go down smoothly on a hot day. The richness of the soup without any dairy is impressive. Yet it's light. The seared tuna comes with a cute rabbit-shaped soy sauce lid. The squid liver grill is followed by rice to soak up the flavors. The tofu skin soup was particularly delicious, made with fish broth. The sushi starts with myoga, followed by ikura, shrimp, maguro, kohada, a generous portion of sea urchin, and anago. Additional small dishes are also tasty, and the recommended sake goes down smoothly. The dessert was Mizu-Shingen Mochi, which was excellent. Despite drinking a lot, the price is reasonable, as the course itself is less than 10,000 yen. Highly recommended!

"Sushidokoro Hiro is a newly opened sushi restaurant located about a 5-minute walk from Gaienmae Station. The main features of this place are: 1) It is a newly opened sushi restaurant in Gaienmae. The head chef used to work at a popular Edo-style sushi restaurant called Okeisuke. 2) The lunch course is priced at 4,000 yen, which is very reasonable. Even with an additional 3-4 pieces of sushi and 2 bottles of sake for two people, the total bill was around 8,000 yen. 3) The tuna was exceptionally delicious that day. They had procured a high-quality cut of tuna (I forgot the name of the cut...) and the moment I tasted it, I was blown away by how delicious it was. Since it has just opened recently, it's still relatively easy to make a reservation. Highly recommended for a sushi lunch spot."
