The adult town, the enchanting town, Giroppon (人∀`) We arrived at that shop while glancing at the sparkling orange Tokyo Tower. This is the renowned shop in Meguro that is particular about selecting A5 grade black wagyu beef and using plenty of fresh vegetables delivered directly from contract farms. It is "PONGAPREMIUM" run by the "Yakiniku Pongga" group!! The shop is located on the top floor of a sparkling building in Roppongi. The Meguro main store has been selected as one of the top 100 yakiniku restaurants in Tokyo for 2020. I was impressed by the Enoshima store near my home before and was thrilled at the Yokohama store, so this time I decided to try Roppongi (ノ∀`) I had made a reservation in advance, so the guidance upon entering was smooth. The private rooms are spacious and comfortable, and you can even see the Tokyo Tower view! First, the drinks, my wife chose "Aged Takachiho Plum Wine (Miyazaki)" (¥700). It was said to be a high-quality plum wine with a strong aroma. Since I had to drive, I chose "Black Oolong Tea" (¥600). There are also non-alcoholic wines, but I prefer tea that does not interfere with the taste of the food. First, vegetables!! Wow, an amazing plate arrived!! "Homemade Namul Assortment" (¥1,200) A luxurious assortment of 5 carefully crafted namuls. I love namul and often make it myself, but professionally made ones are delicious!! Bean sprouts → The garlic flavor is strong and gives you energy with a gentle taste! Fiddlehead fern → The unique crunchy texture of fiddlehead fern is good, and the soft texture is also my favorite. Spinach → It has a gentle taste, but the sesame oil adds a punch, making it appetizing. Daikon & Carrot → They are neatly cut, showing skill. The yuzu adds a refreshing touch. Garlic sprouts → This was unexpected. It is sweet and delicious. Great for drinking. "Seafood King Kimchi (Possum Kimchi)" (¥1,300) This is also a favorite menu item. Possum kimchi, which means "wrap" in Korean, was once eaten in the royal palace of the Joseon Dynasty. Inside the green and refreshing outer leaves of Chinese cabbage kimchi, there are plenty of seafood. The staff chopped it up for us, making it easy to eat (ノ∀`) Inside, there are scallops, shrimp, tomatoes, and kakuteki, among others. When you take a bite, wow! It's fruity for kimchi!! The ingredients are fresh and tender, melting as you chew. The sweetness of the seafood, the freshness of the vegetables, and the gentle spiciness of the sauce... various delicious flavors are tightly wrapped together, and this is a must-try masterpiece!! My wife seemed to be enjoying her drinks, so she added a "Lemon Highball." The intense lemon aroma is refreshing and delicious!! This goes well with meat!! she exclaimed. "Assorted Beef Sashimi" (¥4,200) Next on the menu is beef sashimi. This is a recommended menu item by the staff. "PONGAPREMIUM" focuses on beef sashimi more than other restaurants in the "Ponga" group. Therefore, many customers become repeat customers after trying the beef sashimi. That's right, that's right. Once you see this sparkling gem, you're already a repeat customer before even tasting it (ノ∀`) And on the side, there are sesame oil and ginger soy sauce. "Fresh Liver" I love liver sashimi (人∀`) Look at this shiny red... Is it a coral gemstone? However, due to the season, it is recommended to "lightly sear before eating." So, I quickly seared it and added sesame oil! The texture is crunchy!! Sweet and delicious!! There is no unpleasant smell, it's sweet and chewy, and it's really delicious! There are many yakiniku (Japanese BBQ) restaurants, but one of my favorites is Ponga Premium. The atmosphere is amazing! You can even enjoy the view of Tokyo Tower while grilling your meat. They also have private rooms. I have been there a few times and what I love the most is the delicious meat and the fact that they mostly cook it for you. Let me introduce you to the amazing meat I had this time! First, take a look at this beautiful beef tongue. It's domestically produced Iga beef tongue and costs 2,200 yen. It's so delicious and juicy. Next, the thick-cut harami (skirt steak) is also amazing. This time, I tried the fillet which was recommended and it was like high-class teppanyaki. I ate it with just salt and wasabi, no sauce needed. The restaurant's specialty, folded green onion beef tongue with salt, is a must-try. It's cooked by the staff and always delicious. The kimchi is also tasty. I also tried the avocado salad for the first time and it was delicious. I actually ordered more meat but ended up cancelling because I was already satisfied. They also have Morio Kurosawa sake. Yakiniku is so delicious here, so please give it a try! It would be nice if they had private rooms... I recently found out that Maru is also good, so I must try that next time! Yakiniku Ponga Premium is a must-visit!

Located in a prime location very close to Roppongi Station, GEMS Roppongi is on the top floor of a cool building! The interior has a luxurious atmosphere, and from the corner sofa seats, you can enjoy a view of the night skyline and Tokyo Tower, creating a luxurious space. This time, we opted for the course menu. Upon arrival, we decided to go with the course menu, and they kindly accommodated our request. The course included soup, 3 types of kimchi, 5 types of namul, the famous grilled green onion tongue with salt, premium tongue with salt, zabuton cutlet, raw yukhoe, salad, today's special selection of 3 sashimi, premium tongue with salt, today's thick cut assortment of 2 kinds, rare cut with two types of egg yolk sauce, sirloin rice bowl with caviar, mini cold noodles, and dessert. For drinks, they offered Yamazaki highball, Hakushu highball, and Chita highball. Notable menu items include the famous grilled green onion tongue with salt, which is a must-try. The aroma of the slowly steamed green onion combined with the delicious flavor of the tongue is exceptional. Among the special selection of 3 sashimi, the liver sashimi stands out as delicious, lightly seared with sesame oil and salt. The thick cut assortment of 2 kinds was especially satisfying, with the harami being the highlight - my favorite cut. It had just the right amount of fat and a wonderful flavor. The sirloin rice bowl with caviar, recommended by the staff, was a luxurious dish with caviar and Japanese beef. The seasoning was just the caviar, so there was plenty of it. The combination of the sweetness of the Japanese beef, the saltiness of the caviar, and the freshness of the wasabi was excellent. Overall, the restaurant is quite close to Roppongi Station, and the entrance to the building is impressive! It seems like a teamLab installation, so be sure to check it out. The restaurant is on the top floor, with an outstanding view! The luxurious sofa seats allowed us to relax and enjoy the experience. The grill master stayed with us throughout, ensuring we had a delicious meal. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

A stylish yakiniku restaurant located on the 9th floor of a building on a back street off Roppongi Street. The building is adorned with projection mapping, making it look very impressive, but the entrance might be a bit hard to find at first. We went as a pair and ordered a course menu that included Negitan salt for about 13,000 yen each, along with three beers each and finishing with corn tea, totaling around 35,000 yen. The portions were generous, and we ended up feeling quite full halfway through, haha. The meat, especially the Negitan salt, was tender and delicious. The seating was in a semi-private room with a view of Tokyo Tower, which would surely please female customers.

I visited again because I wanted to come back. The best thing is the grilled salted tongue with green onions! The calm atmosphere in the private rooms is great. The window seats have a nice view. The staff grills the green onion salted tongue perfectly. It's delicious. The top tongue is also made from domestic Iga beef, which is rare. It has a good balance of fat and a great texture and flavor. The premium fillet and thick-cut skirt steak are also generous in portion. The flavor is enhanced when eaten with wasabi from Shizuoka Prefecture. The homemade kimchi has just the right level of spiciness. For dessert, I had a simple half portion of vegetable soup. The soup has a strong beef flavor and is simple yet flavorful. The staff's hospitality is excellent, and you can enjoy high-quality meat. I can't stop thinking about that green onion salted tongue even after returning home. Also, they allow dogs in the private rooms. It's a great place to celebrate a special occasion with your beloved pet. I highly recommend it for those who want to savor high-quality meat.

From the ninja village of Iga, a delicious cow arrived in Roppongi without attracting any attention. Although there are trees, it's a concrete jungle. From the private room where we sat, we could see Tokyo Tower. At night, it suddenly becomes alluring. The recommended dish of the day was the shoulder loin. Starting with the tongue-rolling deliciousness of the top tongue, it was amazing. Next was the marbled kalbi. It's still a month away from the marbling season, but we decided to get a taste of the season early with the kalbi. It melts in your mouth like frost, leaving behind only delicious memories. When the shoulder loin arrived, I thought it was sirloin at first. The marbling was just, you know, that thing. It's a winner. Why is it sweet? The meat is sweet. Seduced by the charm of Iga, I was in a great mood. I couldn't resist and ordered rice to dip in the egg. I managed to hold back and ordered a small portion of rice. The sirloin was grilled by the waitress. Just looking at the sear makes you feel like eating rice. I quickly dipped it in the new egg and absorbed it. While eating, I thought the seasoning was really good. Even though the meat is top-notch, the seasoning is humble. With good meat, you don't need to do anything special. Just as it is, just the meat, just Iga. The cold noodles had a mysterious taste. It was very creamy, and I thought it might have yogurt in it, but it was a comtan soup. Creative cold noodles, right? Don't know any good restaurants in Roppongi? If you ask, I'll pretend to know and guide you to Ponga. You'll definitely get compliments there. I went to Ponga since January. Maybe because of the seat change, the view feels a bit off. The rib meat is scarce and the kalbi is thin, supposedly premium meat. I haven't ordered lean meat yet, so maybe next time I'll go for lean meat only. It's just average, but is the sirloin at 4,400 yen the best? This time I didn't order the Chateaubriand, but it looked and tasted the best. It's said to be Iga beef from Mie Prefecture.

This restaurant is always a go-to for me, no matter the occasion - whether it's for work, a business dinner, a date, or with family. The food is consistently delicious. I recommend trying the turtle meat, fresh liver, and folded green onion with salt. One of my favorite yakiniku restaurants in Tokyo. I suggest ordering a la carte instead of a set menu. Enjoy!

We made a reservation for two on a Sunday night and visited for the first time. It is located in a prime location very close to Roppongi Station. Situated on the top floor of GEMS Roppongi, which is lined with stylish shops. The interior is a very luxurious space with a high-class atmosphere. The view from the seat overlooks the night view and Tokyo Tower, offering a breathtaking view. The bright atmosphere during the day is also pleasant and comfortable. On this day, we ordered the 13,000 yen course (including tax, 14,300 yen). The course allows you to enjoy Iga beef, including Pon's famous tatami negi tongue with salt and rare cuts. All dishes are grilled by the staff. Everything was delicious, so I will comment on some of them below: First, the famous tatami negi tongue with salt. When you think of Pon, you think of this! Plenty of green onions are steamed between the meat. The staff grills it to the best condition, so it's tender and delicious. Even people who are not fond of green onions might enjoy it because only the sweet white part of the green onion is used. The premium tongue with salt allows you to enjoy thick beef tongue. The contrast between the crispy outer texture and the chewy inner texture is irresistible. The Zabuton cutlet is a dish that I have never tried in other Pon restaurants. The meat is very tender, with a crispy thin coating. The fried food is also delicious. Next, we had raw yukhoe and a selection of three types of raw meat of the day. The yukhoe has a perfect combination of beautiful egg yolk, sauce, and meat. The liver, harami (skirt steak), and heart are all fresh. Especially the liver is delicious, with a smooth and creamy texture without any unpleasant smell. The harami and heart melt in your mouth with a gentle umami flavor with each bite. For the last meat dish, we had four types of rare cuts with egg yolk sauce (tomosankaku, shinsin, megane, shoulder loin) and sirloin. They were all very tender and delicious, with just the right amount of fat. Eating them with egg yolk and sauce was the best. Most importantly, a clay pot rice is served together, so you can enjoy the ultimate collaboration of white rice, egg yolk, sauce, and high-quality meat, which was a blissful moment. A luxurious high-end restaurant with the reliable quality of Pon and full attention to detail. Highly recommended for anniversaries, dates, and girls' nights out. I would love to visit again.

Located in Roppongi, @pongapremium offers the perfect combination of delicious meat and a view of Tokyo Tower. The fully private rooms have a view of the night scenery, but for special occasions, I recommend the semi-private window seats! The meat here is incredibly tender and delicious, the best I've had in a while. They use A5 rank Iga beef and Ota beef. - Zabuton cutlet ¥2300 - Shinshin (beef tongue) ¥1900 - Tongue steak ¥3500 - Sirloin (with egg) ¥4400 - Sirloin sushi ¥2200 - Battleship sushi with sea urchin ¥2400 - Grilled tongue with salt and green onions ¥2400 - Upper stomach ¥1500 - Cold noodles ¥1400 - Kimchi assortment ¥1200 - Vegetables each ¥800 We opted for a la carte this time, but they also offer courses, so you can add more dishes if you like. Even with all this food and drinks, it was less than 15,000 yen, so it's quite a deal and I definitely want to come back!
