This is a restaurant located in the back left corner of Ebisu Yokocho, on the Ebisu side. What's interesting about this izakaya is that they serve monjayaki, a type of Japanese pancake, on a hot plate. It's not just a monjayaki restaurant, but an izakaya that serves monjayaki. Their specialty is the super sour cocktail, where you melt a sherbet named Yamada or Suzuki while drinking. Be careful, as if you don't specify, they will serve you a large adult-sized glass. It's a place where you can enjoy drinking while nibbling on monjayaki. They also have a wide variety of side dishes, so you can enjoy yourself even if you don't eat monjayaki.

I stayed up until morning, and the nights have gotten cooler, making me crave something warm to snack on while drinking. The hot pot had a variety of options, and when I ordered, the staff prepared it right in front of me until it was almost ready to eat. It was delicious and satisfying.

Among them, I decided to try a particularly lively shop. The menu is mainly focused on meat with a wide variety, but I was surprised by the relatively high prices. It may be due to the location, but the contrast with the recently visited Nogemachi Ichiban-gai was quite significant. I ordered the following two items: --Fried chicken-- The seasoning was well done, with good oil drainage and a crispy finish. --Potato salad gratin-- A potato salad baked in a gratin style with melting cheese, adding cheese to potato salad changes the taste significantly. This is something that can easily be made at home, so I'll try it next time.

Visited Ebisu Yokocho for the first time! Recently, Ebisu Yokocho has been quite popular among young people. Today, I went to Daruma Tengu! The beer mugs are huge! So big! - Grilled cheese potato salad, something unique but delicious, the mayo with black pepper really stands out! - Sashimi, octopus and bonito sashimi, fresh bonito, delicious! The garlic chips and sauce are a nice touch. - Ham cutlet, long time no see, everyone's favorite! Of course with sauce and mustard. - Mentaiko tamagoyaki, the saltiness of mentaiko is great, and the eggs are fluffy. - Nihonbashi sukiyaki, I was curious about this one, so I chose it as the main dish. A generous serving, with a shallow pot filled with vegetables and topped with beef! Tower-like presentation! The vegetables include cabbage, shimeji mushrooms, tofu, and leeks, and the sauce is not too sweet, just right. As you cook it, the tower gradually sinks. In sukiyaki style, dip the beef in beaten raw egg, and the vegetables soaked in broth are incredibly delicious. - Shime chanpon, the broth infused with the flavors of sukiyaki pairs perfectly, and the noodles in this chanpon are incredibly tasty. The dried shrimp topping is a perfect addition.

Visited at 7:30 pm on January 6, 2022. This was the second stop of the day. A recommended restaurant by my junior who has been to Ebisu Yokocho several times. This place is popular for its teppanyaki dishes. All teppanyaki dishes are served for a minimum of two people, so we started with the recommended Korean pork kimchi spicy mochi cheese monjayaki for two people for ¥2,156. For drinks, we all ordered the adult-sized Kakuhai Highball for ¥869 each, which is twice the normal size. The monjayaki was prepared partially by the staff and brought to the table on a teppan grill for us to cook ourselves. The restaurant is known for being visited by many celebrities, as evidenced by the numerous signed autographs displayed on the walls. We enjoyed the monjayaki while sipping on our highballs. The teppan grill concentrates heat in the center, so we left the middle empty to cook the food as we ate. The flavors were exceptional, and we couldn't stop praising the taste. As we ate, my juniors were drinking at double speed. Looks like I'll be losing in the bill split again! After finishing the monjayaki, one of my juniors was eyeing the neighboring table. "The teppanyaki looks delicious! I want the spicy meat dish!" Their appetite hasn't changed since our student days. We ordered an additional Pork Belly Szechuan Spicy Hot Sauce Teppanyaki for two for ¥2,706. This dish was also quite generous in portion. The monjayaki was labeled as "spicy" but was not spicy at all. However, the teppanyaki labeled as "spicy hot sauce" was indeed spicy! The labeling was reversed! We enjoyed the teppanyaki while sweating and the highballs kept flowing. I lost count of how many I had. The bill came out to just over ¥10,000, so I must have had around 8 drinks. Anyway, the monjayaki was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I went with colleagues to a hormone-based restaurant in Ebisu Yokocho. It's great that you can order large sizes of alcohol. Some of the items we ordered were mentaiko cheese potato salad, which looked like a gratin-style warm potato salad. It was delicious with plenty of mentaiko. Since it's a yokocho, it's definitely a great place for groups to enjoy drinking and having a lively time.

Had dinner at a restaurant in Ebisu Yokocho before Golden Week, and since I had some time before closing due to self-restraint, I was recommended to come here, Daruma Tengu, by Kinoko where I had my meal. ・Otoshi ・Happy Hour 1,000 yen This is a deal where you get 2 drinks and a dish for 1,000 yen. They serve potato salad with cheese baked on top, sprinkled with black pepper. The light potato salad with added richness is delicious. Second bar we went to in Ebisu. It was a weekday night and Ebisu Yokocho was crowded. We ended up at a place where the staff invited us in. I was already quite full so I just had some umesuishou as a snack. It was refreshing and a nice break. We ordered beer, shochu, and wine, all in large sizes without realizing it. The wine even came in a mug, quite a surprise. And then, it happened... I drank too much... Before I knew it, I was in a taxi with my friends... It was a fun place though, so I hope this review was helpful...

There is an izakaya in Ebisu Yokocho! The best part is that they serve Singha beer, which is not easy to find. The atmosphere in Ebisu Yokocho is lively and that's also great. On Sunday, I thought Ebisu Yokocho would be empty, but it was actually crowded! It had been a while since I last visited Ebisu Yokocho, and many of the shops had changed. Next to the meat sushi shop, there was a new restaurant that seemed to specialize in hotpot or monjayaki. The restaurant was quite small, but the staff were cooking teppanyaki on the table. While waiting for my friend to arrive, I decided to order monjayaki for two people. The drinks came in regular size or large size, with the default being the large size unless specified otherwise. I ordered a plum sour in a large size, which was quite big and heavy. The appetizer was cabbage, slightly crunchy. The octopus was served as sashimi and was delicious. The monjayaki was cooked by the staff and had a spicy cod roe flavor. It was easy to eat as the staff would cook and stretch it for us. The cod roe monjayaki had a fragrant and simple taste, which was delicious. The restaurant was still busy, so we decided to change to another place before our friends arrived. In addition to monjayaki, there were other teppanyaki menu items available as well.

I went to a girls' night out this month (February). I had the Super Sour Suzuki (Acerola) drink♪ First of all, I was surprised by how big the glass was! The Super Sour Suzuki (Acerola) drink here is a new sensation where you dissolve a crunchy acerola sherbet and drink it. The snacks were all delicious, but my personal favorite was the "Hearty Hormone Teppanyaki with Soy Sauce". The chewy hormone was seasoned with a deliciously spicy sauce, plenty of vegetables, and I enjoyed it in a healthy way. We finished with Champon noodles, which were deliciously spicy until the end. The restaurant is located in the back left corner of Ebisu Yokocho (from the back, it's the first on the right). I love the atmosphere of the alley, so I had a great time!

Wagyu Stamina Teppanyaki with Spicy Sauce, serves 2 people for 2500 yen. It's always crowded, so be mindful of your seating time. We ordered a few other dishes along with this, but couldn't finish everything. The Stamina Teppanyaki has a rich flavor and goes well with alcohol. Thank you for the meal!
