Having a party with friends is great. You can order as much as you want and it's only 5,000 yen, which is cheap. There are a lot of Kyushu specialties on the menu. The "Niratama" dish, with fresh chives topped with egg yolk, was delicious. The appetizer vegetables were fresh and tasty. I appreciate that they use local specialty products like the Dayan Lemon Sour. I prefer the local chicken to be a bit fattier though.

I used to think that mangoes might not be as sweet as they look, but the mango-flavored alcohol was delicious and the mango itself had a rich flavor. Although I mainly drank alcohol and didn't eat much, the pudding I had at the end was rich and smooth, not too heavy or firm, just the right amount of creaminess, and very delicious.

I'm exhausted from being a salaryman. Sometimes you just need a break. Even though it's midweek, I decided to treat myself a little. I had a voucher for shochu from my last visit, so I went to Tsukada Nojo near my office for a drink. The appetizer of fresh vegetables was delicious, especially the miso. We decided on a whim to visit this place with a coworker near our workplace (Friday at 7pm) and surprisingly there weren't many people so we were able to enter easily (although it was full before we got our first drink). We started with a toast with beer, and were served fresh vegetables and special miso as a complimentary appetizer. The vegetables were good on their own, but they also went well with drinks. We ordered the value set of charcoal-grilled chicken and horse sashimi with plenty of green onions. The horse sashimi was delicious. My coworker loved the chicken, and everything we ordered was satisfying. We added some potatoes, spicy chicken, and gyoza. Another night of being pleasantly tipsy and satisfied (^^)v

This Thursday evening, I received a sudden invitation from a friend for a "drinking session", and as I was about to say "I have a company year-end party tomorrow", we decided to casually have a "year-end party for two old guys" since it had been a while since we last met. I asked my friend to secure a good restaurant since I am always relying on others. The restaurant he chose was known for having lots of beautiful women, so I arrived a little late to find my friend waiting outside in the cold with a runny nose. Thanks to him, we were able to sit at a cozy 4-person table in the back. The restaurant is known for using local Miyazaki ingredients, offering a variety of dishes using local chicken. A must-try is the charcoal-grilled local chicken, which is delicious and goes well with drinks. Other recommended dishes include motsu nabe, horse sashimi, oyster gratin, and cream soy sauce pickles, all enjoyed with beer, shochu, sake, or highball. The dessert, peach hot something, seemed to have tequila in it, and I indulged without thinking about the consequences for the next day. Overall, the food was satisfying, but the prices were a bit high. The service at this restaurant is unique, with waitresses in mini-skirted yukatas providing excellent hospitality. Despite the crowded atmosphere, the waitresses engaged in friendly banter, making the dining experience enjoyable. After enjoying the Miyazaki shochu with plum, I headed home on the last train for the night. The next day, I was promoted to "chief" in the restaurant's unique promotion system based on the number of visits. My friend had already achieved the title of "section chief". The beautiful waitress from the restaurant turned out to be a "department head" in another branch. I was amazed by how quickly my friend had progressed in the system, and I downloaded the restaurant's app to keep track of my progress. Additionally, I learned that I could get a 10% discount using a coupon from Tabelog. Yesterday, at the department's year-end party, we had a good time with a large group, but it couldn't compare to the fun we had at the impromptu gathering. The restaurant is located a 5-minute walk to the right of Shinagawa Station Takanawa Exit. Four of us dined a la carte. Despite arriving at the reserved time in December, we had to wait for about 10 minutes. The complimentary dish was chicken broth soup instead of cabbage, priced at 390 yen, which felt a bit expensive. We ordered the Salt Offal Hot Pot for 850 yen for three servings, Grilled Local Chicken 180g for 1,280 yen, Satsuma-age for 480 yen, and Seared Cod Roe for 380 yen. All the dishes were delicious and satisfying. However, due to the year-end rush, the dishes took a long time to arrive, so I wish they had recommended quicker options.

I ordered the "great value set" at the restaurant and it was both delicious and filling. The only downside was the way we were seated. I made a reservation online and selected "table seating" over "digging kotatsu" but when we arrived, we were led to the counter. I asked the staff if we could move to a table as I had reserved one, but they said all tables were fully booked for the day. However, from 6:30 pm when we arrived until past 10 pm when we left, there were several empty table seats that no one occupied.

The restaurant was not clean, with many foreign customers and a noisy atmosphere where it was hard to hear conversations. The menu had various options but the taste, cost performance, and other features were not particularly impressive. This restaurant seems to cater more towards young people or groups. I probably won't become a regular customer.

I stopped by "Tsukada Farm" because I was feeling a little hungry. They have their own chicken farms in three locations nationwide, each with the farm name in front of the store name. Initially, I accidentally walked into Yonhachi Gyoba in front of Tsukada Farm (laughs). This time, I visited "Tsukada Farm Shinagawa Takanawa Store" in Kirishima City, Kagoshima Prefecture. There is also a nearby city called Nichinan in Miyazaki Prefecture. The menu mainly consists of chicken, eggs, and vegetables. From the menu, I ordered "Otoshi" for 421 yen, "Mentaiko Tamagoyaki" for 702 yen, "Chicken and Avocado with Wasabi Soy Sauce" for 842 yen, "Meat-wrapped Rice Balls - Plain" for 324 yen, and "Meat-wrapped Rice Balls - Cheese" for 345 yen. I ordered a total of 5 items, which came to 2,634 yen (tax included). When I entered the restaurant, it was already past 10 p.m., so it was immediately the last order. Since I also had to catch the last train, I didn't take many photos this time. The female staff's uniform in a kimono-style dress that went up to the knees made me feel a little cold.

Tsukada Farm, which has a chain of stores, has consistently delicious food at all locations, including the Takane store. The horse sashimi and horse sashimi yukhoe were particularly good and affordable. The mentaiko motsunabe and chicken nanban were also delicious. The limited edition fried lily root, which is usually not a favorite of mine, was surprisingly tasty and changed my perception of lily root. The standout feature, however, is the female staff members. They provide friendly and pleasant service in mini yukata outfits. They give out business cards and offer promotions based on the number of visits, creating a system that encourages both customer loyalty and employee motivation. 【Shinagawa】Kagoshima Prefecture Kirishima City Tsukada Farm Shinagawa Takanawa Store This is an extremely long name for a popular izakaya chain restaurant that is directly connected to the production and sale of their products. There are two branches in Shinagawa, and this Shinagawa Takanawa store is located a bit further from the station. However, it is conveniently located near places like The Prince Sakura Tower Tokyo, making it convenient for business travelers. When I visited, it was for a drinking session with business colleagues, and I requested for a quiet seat. However, this restaurant was full of energy and lively, so my request was a bit off. I mean this as a compliment. The bright atmosphere and energetic staff make it a great place to unwind, especially for those lonely business trips. Since we started late, we opted for individual orders instead of a course menu. The appetizer of cabbage and cucumber with pot miso was delicious. The pot miso had a depth of flavor with various ingredients. The recommended dish, charcoal-grilled black Satsuma chicken, was flavorful with a strong black pepper spice. At one point, the staff asked for my name to give me a gift, which turned out to be a card that can be used at all chain stores and offers promotions based on the number of visits. It's a bit gimmicky, but I found it interesting. As we left, they even gave us pot miso in a Tupperware as a gift. It's a small gesture, but it makes you want to revisit. The restaurant I visited was "Tsukada Farm Shinagawa Takanawa Store". This was my first time at this location, which opened in June 2012. The tomato salad and grilled mentaiko were delicious. The fried fish was crispy and tasty, and the charcoal-grilled black Satsuma chicken was juicy and flavorful. The meal ended with a chicken ginger hot pot and a surprise pork shabu dish. The dessert served at the end was a nice touch. Overall, I had a great time with delicious food and drinks. The restaurant also offers a stamp card for repeat customers, and I received a special service for my recent promotion from "section chief" to "department manager".
