I had something I was really troubled about, so I decided to confide in a friend. I thought it would be nice to have a quiet place to talk, so I made a reservation at "Kakurebo Ikebukuro". Of course, I chose a popular cozy private room with a kotatsu to relax in. First, we toasted with Moet in a glass.
- Appetizer: Egg tofu and clam simmered in soy sauce
Smooth and gentle egg tofu with not too strong clam simmered in soy sauce, a perfect match.
- Chilled sea treasure steamed rice
A gentle steamed rice with salmon, salmon roe, sea urchin, and soy milk broth. The saltiness of the salmon roe adds a nice touch. I personally preferred it without the soy milk broth.
- Fried sweet potatoes and lotus roots with rice flour
Sweet and tender sweet potatoes and crispy lotus roots go well together. The crispy texture of the rice flour is irresistible.
- Aizu Homare Junmai Daiginjo "Goku"
Very soft and gentle taste.
- Matsumae pickles
There's no way this doesn't go well with sake. It goes down smoothly.
- Simmered sea bass
Elegant seasoning. The sea bass is tender and the daikon radish and shiitake mushrooms are flavorful. The delicious dishes made with seasonal ingredients and sake make for a relaxing atmosphere where you can talk without worrying about your surroundings. The overall seasoning is gentle, which was appreciated by me, as I have recently become sensitive to strong flavors.

Stylish and sophisticated atmosphere, recommended for a date, located about a 5-minute walk from Ikebukuro Station, Bilbile is a place with a stylish and sophisticated ambiance that you wouldn't expect. There are sofa seats for couples, creating a wonderful atmosphere, and table seats towards the back for a more casual dining experience, making it easy to enjoy with friends. This restaurant not only offers delicious food, but also has good value for money, with ingredients and flavors that are worth the price. Some of the dishes I tried at this restaurant are:
- Sauteed abalone and eringi mushrooms with rich liver sauce: A simple yet incredibly delicious combination of chewy abalone and rich liver sauce, enhanced by the eringi mushrooms.
- Chiba prefecture's rich red egg dashimaki: A tender and flavorful dashimaki egg made with rich broth, which was absolutely delicious.
- Grilled silver salmon with miso marinade: A favorite dish of mine, the miso-marinated silver salmon had a rich flavor that perfectly complemented the fatty and tender salmon meat.
- Yuzu-scented golden snapper clay pot rice with salmon roe, yuzu, and agar: This dish, served in a clay pot, immediately lifted my spirits with its appearance. The combination of golden snapper, salmon roe, yuzu, and agar created a delicious and visually appealing dish that I highly recommend trying.

I used this place for work because it had private rooms. The restaurant is clean. Since everyone was drinking, we didn't go for a course meal and ordered everything a la carte. The taste was okay, but I felt the prices were a bit high for the portion sizes. Overall, I think it's a decent place. If I have the chance, I might use it again in Ikebukuro or somewhere nearby.

I used this restaurant for lunch this time. I was unsure of what to order, but I ended up ordering the meat dipping soba. Order details: Meat dipping soba 1,000 yen * Meat dipping soba with a small side dish set. The meat dipping soba comes with warm green onion broth and cold soba with simmered pork, white hair leeks, and leeks on top. The soba noodles were slightly soft and thin. The taste was quite salty, but it was delicious when mixed with ground sesame and Japanese pepper on a separate plate. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is calm with slightly dimmed lighting, but it would be nice if it had a bit more cleanliness. The staff's customer service was polite. Since it's a restaurant with private room-like seating, it might be convenient for a date. It's an izakaya near Ikebukuro Station.

The company staff were friendly, the atmosphere was nice, and the food was delicious. The semi-private space made it easy to enjoy conversations without being bothered by surrounding noise. All the dishes were tasty and the drinks were good too! The members of the drinking party had a wide age range and were a mix of men and women, but the relaxed atmosphere was suitable for everyone. I would like to use this restaurant again!

Visit date: April 3rd
I was entrusted with choosing the restaurant and making a reservation, so I selected "Kakureya" which has private rooms where you can relax and dine. I booked the popular "Black Wagyu Grill Kakureba Kaiseki" (5,500 yen) with all-you-can-drink option (1,800 yen) through Tabelog.
- Appetizer: Chilled chawanmushi with black sesame
- Side dish: Black sesame tofu
- Salad: Vegetable salad
- Sashimi: Tuna and yellowtail
- Soup: Shinjo, nama-fu, and maitake mushroom clear soup
- Grilled dish: Black seven-spice grilled chicken thigh
- Steamed dish: Yuba, simmered daikon radish, crab meat sauce
- Fried dish: Matsusaka beef croquette
- Main dish: Black Wagyu inner thigh
- Rice dish: Mixed rice with red and green miso soup
- Dessert: Hojicha panna cotta
The private room provided a comfortable and enjoyable atmosphere to dine on delicious food. The staff's service was excellent, making it a pleasant social gathering. Thank you for the meal.

Located about a 5-minute walk from Ikebukuro Station, this izakaya is a chain restaurant but it was my first visit. The atmosphere is nice, with mostly private rooms, although it might be a bit tight for those with claustrophobia. I ordered cheese and mentaiko tempura. Since I only ordered appetizers, it's difficult to give an accurate assessment, but the dishes that came out were decent.

Visited for the first time with 3 relatives. We had a private room which had a nice atmosphere. The lunch course was 3,000 yen including drinks, with 6 dishes. The presentation felt like it was mass-produced, and the taste was average. The most concerning issue was the speed of serving the dishes. We had to wait 20 minutes between each dish. They really need to improve this as it was quite slow.

I used it with three former colleagues from my previous workplace. It is close to the station, with many private rooms and a spacious layout. The seating distance is sufficient, the food is delicious, and we had a good time. It cost 5,000 yen per person, and I am very satisfied. It's not a special restaurant, but it seems useful for gatherings of adults in Ikebukuro.

I used it for a date. The private room for two is well made, maintaining a private space without feeling cramped. Also, the fish is delicious. I have experience in the fisheries industry, so I know it well. Highly recommended.

The after-party of the live show - good job on making a reservation. The atmosphere was very nice and had a luxurious feel to it. It would be a good place for a date. The spacious layout was nice. However, the food didn't quite match up to the atmosphere. It wasn't bad, but it didn't impress me either. I think I may have had too high expectations for the food.

The staff provided polite customer service, which was good. The interior of the restaurant has a historical feel. The food was neither good nor bad, and some dishes did not seem to blend well with the traditional Japanese taste. It may be a matter of personal preference.

I visited this restaurant located about a 5-minute walk from Ikebukuro Station East Exit. I arrived around 6:30 pm on a Saturday. I made a reservation a week before visiting, and when I arrived, the restaurant was almost full. The floor was quite spacious and there were many customers, showing how popular the place is. I ordered a variety of dishes including appetizers, salads, fish, meat, soba noodles, and desserts to balance out the meal. The menu had a wide range of options, but each category of dishes seemed a bit limited. The portions were a bit small, and while the dishes were well-prepared and tasty, they felt a bit lacking in quantity for the price. On the other hand, the variety of drinks was extensive and reasonably priced, making it a good value for an izakaya experience. I felt that this place is more suited for enjoying drinks with some snacks rather than focusing on the food.

The food was delicious, but not exceptionally so considering the high price. Despite making a reservation, we were not given a private room. However, when we requested one, they accommodated us. This was my second time here, and I was satisfied with the timing of the service and food. Overall, I would rate it 3.5. The kamameshi and dessert were tasty. I had heard that the kamameshi takes a long time, but I was pleasantly surprised that it didn't take as long as expected.

On Friday night, I visited a restaurant with three colleagues after a long time. Most of the seats in the restaurant were semi-private booths with a Kamakura-like atmosphere, and even the open seats were slightly enclosed, giving the overall feeling of privacy. The interior was elegantly decorated, creating a charming atmosphere. We had:
- Kelp-marinated red snapper and wasabi greens salad
- Assorted sashimi
- Firefly squid marinated in seaweed
- Salt-cooked domestic beef tendon
- Wagyu beef tongue steak
- Wagyu beef fillet stone-grilled
- Golden eye snapper clay pot rice
- Hojicha rare cheesecake
Overall, the dishes were well put together and delicious. The steak was juicy and tender, with a flavorful sauce. The only downside was that the portions were on the smaller side, making it less ideal for sharing with a large group.

Hidden Room is located on the 6th floor of a building about a 5-minute walk from the east exit of Ikebukuro Station. The atmosphere is calm and the interior is very stylish with semi-private seating. They offer a wide variety of sake and high-quality dishes, creating a sophisticated atmosphere that sets it apart from other restaurants in Ikebukuro. The food is delicious! Perfect for a date night! We ordered a variety of dishes a la carte and everything was so delicious that we couldn't stop eating!

I visited during the daytime. The service was decently fast and I didn't feel like I had to wait too long. The chicken nanban was tender and not greasy, making it easy to eat. The atmosphere was okay. The interior was a bit dark, so the photos turned out dark too.

I had a very satisfying 1000 yen lunch of maguro, negitoro, ikura, kyuri, and egg yolk fisherman's meal, with delicious red miso soup that went really well. The restaurant has many private rooms, so you can enjoy your meal without worrying about your surroundings. The staff are kind and provide very attentive service. It's a wonderful place to spend a lovely time. I will definitely go back when I have lunch in Ikebukuro.

This is a shop located about a 1-minute walk from the east exit of Ikebukuro. I was looking for a private room, so I chose this shop. There were a lot of couples there. Since it was a private room, I was able to enjoy my meal in peace.
- Tuna tartare with vegetable chips: The menu didn't have a picture, so I was expecting fried tuna with tartar sauce, but what came out was completely different and surprising! It had negitoro with ikura, daikon, and caviar, wrapped in seaweed and eaten with vegetable chips. It's new and delicious.
- Matsusaka beef croquette (2 pieces): I didn't feel the Matsusaka beef flavor, but it was a gentle tasting croquette.
- Iwate Prefecture Iwachu pork loin with salt koji grill: This took quite a while. I waited for about an hour. It was delicious with different cuts of pork. It looks completely different from the picture.
- Matsusaka beef hot pot rice with rich flavor: It was said to take about 40 minutes, but it came in 20 minutes. Matsusaka beef is oily and delicious. There was too much rice compared to the meat. Overall, it was very good. I recommend it for a date. ★★★★

The state of emergency has been lifted, so I went to lunch with my colleagues at the company. We reserved a semi-private room that looked like an igloo. Despite having a reservation for 11:30, there were 4 groups of customers waiting at the entrance. It seemed like there weren't enough staff. We finally got water after ordering and receiving our food. We had to pay for tea, which was disappointing. I ordered the 11-item obanzai set meal for 1400 yen. The small dishes were pretty ordinary. The set also included sashimi and a small demi-glace hamburger. I wished there was a dessert included. My colleague had the chicken nanban, which was a normal portion for 1000 yen. I think a dessert should be included for that price. I would have appreciated some tea service as well.
