We enjoyed the night view of Odaiba while having a meal on a houseboat. The food was delicious, especially the tempura that was fried on board with a variety of options. It was a fun and lively event where we could all eat together and enjoy some drinks. However, the boat swayed a bit that day, so I couldn't fully enjoy the meal due to concerns about seasickness. I recommend taking motion sickness medication before boarding. The staff were friendly and their conversations added to the event-like atmosphere of the dining experience.

I ordered the Assorted Sushi (1700 yen) for lunch at Komagata for the first time. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is quite upscale. The sushi is served all on one plate. It's been a while since I've had sushi where you have to dip it in soy sauce yourself. It's interesting that the nori on the rolls is inside out. Maybe they're catering to foreigners? It was nostalgic to see squid sandwiched in seaweed. The quality of the fish is decent for the price, but the shrimp was not that great. The pickled ginger and tamagoyaki were also just okay. The miso soup was probably the best part of the meal.

I went to Komagata Sushi in Kuramae and had the Omakase Sushi set for 3500 yen. I was seated in a private room on the second floor with a view of the Sumida River with the staff's child. The Omakase Sushi set includes grilled conger eel for an additional 2900 yen. The grilled conger eel was delicious with a fluffy texture. Then, a sushi box arrived with tuna, sea bream, shrimp, horse mackerel, seared mackerel, egg, ark shell, and herring roe, among others. There was also plum and shiso leaf roll, miso soup, and a spoonful of sea urchin and salmon roe. A small serving of minced fatty tuna with green onion was also included, along with a vanilla ice cream for dessert. After the meal, I bought a mango and strawberry fruit sandwich from the newly opened "Fruits Sandwich Shop SUN" on the street in front of Komagata Sushi as a souvenir. It was a delightful experience with delicious food. I will definitely come back again!

There is a sushi restaurant near my company! I haven't been there since the pandemic. The prices have gone up a bit! In that case, it's better to go to that place or that place for better value. It has gotten more expensive, but I should visit soon. It used to be a good restaurant with free futomaki for early customers. I wonder how it is now?

I was wandering around with a friend when we stumbled upon a sushi restaurant that looked delicious. Luckily, there was a seat available at the counter, so we had some Edo-style sushi made to order. It was really good. They also had some reasonably priced drinks available at cost, so we ended up spending less than we expected and were very satisfied!

The sushi restaurant is popular among older gentlemen. Despite thinking it would be expensive, it is actually reasonable with sushi starting at 900 yen. The first floor has a counter and the second floor has tatami seating. As soon as you sit down, you are asked for your order. You are served green tea and then miso soup with negi and tofu. You can add fried tempura bits as you like. The sushi is quickly brought to you, including a special roll with tuna and cucumber. The sushi is delicious, with a variety of options like fatty tuna, shrimp, white fish, squid, tuna, and egg omelette. The fatty tuna was rich and the squid, which I usually don't like, was surprisingly good. I wanted to order another set right away. The tatami seating area was not crowded, making it a hidden gem.

I went on a business trip to Tokyo and spent the day attending a trade show, skipping lunch and standing the whole time. After visiting two standing bars for drinks, I finally made my way back to my accommodation in Kuramae. For dinner, I decided to treat myself at a sushi restaurant. Despite only having a small beer and sake at the first bar, followed by two glasses of shari-kin hoppy at the second bar, I wasn't really drunk, just enjoying myself. The restaurant was located near Kuramae Station on the Toei Oedo Line, towards Chiba. I started with draft beer and had firefly squid and shirako with ponzu sauce as appetizers. The sake was flowing freely, and I don't remember ordering the ikura in the picture. I think I was in a tipsy mood by this point. The sushi selection included 6 pieces of Edo-style nigiri such as horse mackerel, ark shell, northern surf clam, silver-stripe round herring, marinated mackerel, and ark shell. The scallops were not from Tokyo Bay, as expected. The bill came to 7,400 yen, which may have been influenced by my tipsy state.

I visited the restaurant on a shared houseboat cruise on a summer evening. I arrived at the restaurant at 4:30 pm, signed the boarding list, and we set sail at 5 pm for an early dinner, so we couldn't see the night view in summer. Instead, the weather was nice, so we enjoyed seeing various buildings with a guide under the blue sky. It was fun to take commemorative photos on the roof of the houseboat in Tokyo Bay. The food included delicious sushi, freshly fried tempura, and a variety of dishes. However, on the way back, the staff seemed to run out of things to talk about and forced passengers to participate in activities like giving impromptu speeches or singing karaoke. I wanted to enjoy a leisurely Tokyo Bay cruise, so it was a bit disappointing to be put in such situations with strangers. Despite this, the cruise and food were satisfying, so I wanted to give it 4 stars. If I have the chance, I would like to try other shared houseboat cruises from different companies to find a place where I can relax and enjoy the cruise.

I felt like getting on a boat and ended up coming here. Other boat enthusiasts were gathering for a party. There were also shops on land, and it seemed like a high-class Japanese restaurant. I wasn't expecting much from the food on the boat, but the food from the land-based shop was surprisingly delicious. The sushi was well-prepared, and the other dishes were authentic. I remember being disappointed by a boat I rode on before that only served fried food, but this experience changed that. I would like to visit the land-based shop next time.

Leaving Tsukiji behind, we took a bus to Komagata. This time, our dinner was on a chartered houseboat! We enjoyed tempura while admiring the night view of the Sumida River, Skytree, and Rainbow Bridge in the background. The staff, who spoke in a cool Edo dialect, really set the mood. It seemed like speaking in Edo dialect came naturally to them. It was truly their calling to work on a houseboat. We started with sashimi and raised a toast with beer! This time, we chartered a houseboat for 12 people, costing 12,000 yen per person, including all-you-can-eat tempura and rice with all-you-can-drink. We were even guided to the future Olympic venue. It was a trip where we truly felt the sophistication of Edo.

[2014/1] I revisited the restaurant after 8:00 pm on a weekday for dinner. Since I don't really like raw scallops, I left the selection up to the chef. We had mackerel, sardines, seared yellowtail, hairy crab, sea urchin, simmered oysters, conger eel, gizzard shad, ark shell, clam neck, and a few other appetizers. I had a few beers and shochu drinks. I also bought a pressed eel sushi for 1600 yen as a souvenir. The total bill was around 7000 yen. The exterior of the restaurant exuded a sense of luxury, but the prices were very reasonable. [2013/9] I visited this restaurant through an acquaintance. It was past 8:00 pm on a weekday when I took a taxi down Kasuga Street and found the restaurant at the end of Kurabashi Bridge. The place looked very impressive and intimidating. I was worried if I would be turned away. However, I mustered the courage to enter. The interior was also impressive, with a counter made of polished white wood that seemed to be made of cypress. The whole place exuded cleanliness. I ordered a draft beer and was given a choice of small dishes as a complimentary appetizer. I chose sea urchin. I requested two pieces of sushi at a time and enjoyed tuna, squid, shad, sea bream, horse mackerel, and conger eel. The sushi rice was also delicious. I also had tamago as a side dish and received eel as a souvenir. It was a long time since I had enjoyed authentic Edo-style sushi in Tokyo.

This time, instead of a houseboat, we used a sushi restaurant located next to the houseboat boarding entrance. The management is the same. For those who have never used a houseboat before, when you see a houseboat floating on the Sumida River or around Odaiba, you might think, "It looks fun, but the food is probably not that great." But actually, it's not like that. Tempura, sashimi, and other dishes are quite good. This place is a sushi restaurant run by the same company that operates the houseboats. It's a new and clean store. The first floor has a counter with 7-8 seats, and the second floor seems to have tatami seating. The taste is not bad for the price. The sushi rice is especially delicious. It doesn't overpower the toppings, but still makes its presence felt. It has an elegant and gentle finish. The toppings don't go too far in the direction of traditional Edo-style sushi, but they still hit the mark. Sushi like "sea urchin and salmon roe" and "crab miso salad" served with a small spoon are quite elegant. However, the disappointing part is that it feels like "the houseboat company is doing it half-heartedly," and the sense of "the sushi restaurant is serious about its craft" doesn't come through. When I ordered cold sake, a 4-cup bottle was suddenly brought out without asking about the type or size. And when I asked for "omakase" (chef's choice) for the sushi, they just said, "It's the omakase set," and piled the sushi on a large plate one after another. Even though I sat at the counter, if I can't eat each piece of sushi fresh, it's pointless. It's no different from ordering sushi for delivery. They didn't ask about preferences or dislikes for the toppings. Despite the sushi being good, I felt disappointed. Also, there was a customer smoking at the counter. If one person smokes in a small space, it ruins the entire atmosphere of the restaurant. This is fatal for a sushi restaurant, as the ambiance of the restaurant is not just about being new and clean. At this point, I decided not to visit again. It was a disappointing restaurant that serves delicious sushi but lacks seriousness as a sushi restaurant.

Visited the restaurant with foreign guests for lunch. From the second floor, you can enjoy a great view of the Skytree through the window. We ordered the chef's choice sushi set (2,800 yen). Although I forgot to take a photo, the set included choices of natto roll or plum shiso sushi, as well as about 15 pieces of assorted nigiri and spoon sushi. Everything was delicious as usual, but one piece had a strong fish bone or tendon, which was a bit surprising. Despite that, everyone enjoyed the meal. I will definitely visit again.

Located just a 1-minute walk from Asakusa Apa Hotel, this restaurant is easily accessible. With water flush toilets and air conditioning/heating, it can accommodate up to 26 people comfortably. You can enjoy a banquet on a traditional Japanese houseboat. It is recommended to gather a group of friends for a private party, as the staff can accommodate requests for the turnaround point of the boat and negotiate extended operating hours. It is important to note that due to food safety regulations, only pre-ordered sashimi is available on board. Additional orders cannot be made during the cruise, so it is advisable to discuss the quantity and content of the sashimi with the staff when making a reservation. The basic menu includes sashimi, three small dishes, tempura, assorted appetizers, miso soup, rice, and fruit for dessert. The tempura, especially the squid, shrimp, conger eel, and small fish tempura, is highly recommended as it is served freshly fried and delicious. The portion sizes are generous, and even young diners were satisfied. While docked, waterfowl may approach the boat asking for food, adding to the enjoyable experience. The view is fantastic, and overall, it was a very satisfying dining experience. As it is a traditional houseboat, there is some rocking and engine noise to be expected. This may be a matter of personal preference, so it is advisable to inform participants in advance.

The cherry blossom viewing season has arrived! Normally, the tradition is to reserve a spot in a park where the cherry blossoms are in bloom, followed by a picnic. But unfortunately, the weather forecast is showing rain! Oh no! I can't drink alcohol in the rain! The savvy organizer reserved this houseboat for us here. Oh no! I've never been on a houseboat before. Maybe I should act like a geisha. But it's embarrassing and I might go overboard with the service, and even though I have the heart of a maiden, my body is like a boy's. Spring is here, cherry blossoms in full bloom, petals swirling around! I'm back! We set sail on a chartered plan for 10,500 yen. The energetic staff greeted us and we enjoyed a course with sashimi, tempura, and all-you-can-drink alcohol. The tempura was delicious. They proudly mentioned using oil that costs around 30,000 yen per can, which is different from others that cost around 10,000 yen. After enjoying the food, we had a great time singing karaoke on the water. It's really lively and you don't need to worry about bothering others. They also offer shared plans on weekends and holidays. It seems like a fun experience to join a shared houseboat plan. I would definitely like to use this service again.

I was able to ride a traditional Japanese houseboat as I had been hoping for. This houseboat is operated by a sushi restaurant. The restaurant is located by the river, and the back of the restaurant serves as the boarding area. The course cost 10,500 yen, but drinks were all-you-can-drink. We enjoyed egg tofu, appetizers, sashimi, and freshly fried tempura one after another, and they were all delicious. The shrimp was firm and the conger eel was fluffy! Rice, miso soup, and fruit for dessert were also included. Since it's a sushi restaurant, the sashimi was fresh. This time, we chartered the boat for more than 15 people, but it seems they also offer shared rides.

The food had an excessive amount of shellfish, which was not ideal. However, I was satisfied with the sushi and tempura. They operate on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
