The shop may not be very large in scale, but they also sell products other than tofu. Surprisingly, the prices are quite low. This time, I purchased something called "Morning Fresh Napa Cabbage Pickles" for 150 yen excluding tax. It had just the right amount of seasoning, not overpowering with saltiness, and you could subtly taste the flavor of the napa cabbage. It also had a crunchy texture and was delicious.

My partner and acquaintances used to use it frequently, and although I unconsciously ate it, I decided to give it a try again to prevent my calorie intake from getting out of control during the recent COVID-19 self-isolation period. I was quite surprised by the sliced fermented soybean cream. It was a food that removed the unpleasant greasiness of cream cheese and had a taste that could be called the ultimate cream cheese. It seemed like the perfect accompaniment for alcohol. The salted tofu had a smooth texture with a refreshing salty taste. It already had a good eating response, but the combination of olive oil, soy sauce, salt, and pepper brought out the flavor even more. The tofu had a strong soybean flavor compared to supermarket products and tasted delicious. And the crumbled tofu had an amazing taste. The sweetness and umami of soybeans were accentuated by the soy sauce, creating a fantastic flavor. The best was the white sesame yuba. It had a melty texture and flavor. When eaten dissolved in wasabi soy sauce, the taste was so wonderful that I was deeply moved by the fact that I could eat something like this outside of a restaurant. The food at this restaurant is low in calories, yet it offers a satisfying and excellent taste. Moreover, the prices are reasonable, making it highly recommended for those looking to achieve long-term diet goals. I believe it is the third choice in food and, in a way, a revolution.

I happened to pass by a shop and the "Tofu Marugoto Rum Raisin" dessert looked delicious, so I stopped by. While looking around the shop, I found a product that resembled the "Mascarpone-like tofu" that I have been addicted to recently and decided to try it. I enjoyed it little by little at home and found it to be delicious, definitely want to buy it again. Because it's tofu, I feel a little less guilty ^ ^ I finished the Rum Raisin before taking a photo...

I usually don't review retail or chain stores, but I had to mention how delicious the tofu sweets at this place were. I tried the tofu tiramisu and matcha pudding, and they were surprisingly light, smooth, and airy - you wouldn't even think they were made with tofu. The pudding was like a pastel color and the sweetness was just right, not too overpowering. I had tried their tofu dumplings before and they weren't that great, so I didn't have high expectations, but these tofu sweets were a pleasant surprise.

When I came to Nakano before, I discovered this store. I have a favorite item here, so I often go there. I happened to be in the neighborhood for another reason. This is my first time at the Nakano store. My favorite is this silk thick fried tofu. The silk thick fried tofu commonly found in supermarkets is not pure tofu, but mixed with various ingredients to make it soft. However, the silk thick fried tofu at Mokura is delicious, with two pieces for 108 yen. It's amazing when grilled! It goes well as a side dish or snack with noodle soup, soy sauce, or ponzu. When grilling is too much trouble, it's also delicious when fried in a pan! I always buy at least two bags at a time. I also went through a phase of being addicted to okara donuts. I would get quite full, but since they contain okara, the guilt is lessened. The kimchi is also great, with a slightly stronger flavor and a nice spicy kick. Since they are found everywhere, I will definitely stop by if I come across them again.

I bought the limited edition soy milk sakura mochi that is only available from February 1st to 28th. It is a unique mochi with sweet red bean paste filling. The combination of sakura leaf saltiness and soy milk creates a harmonious flavor, making the red bean paste taste light and delicious. With a price of 216 yen for a pack of 4, it is quite affordable and I feel like eating it every day in February. The pink color is also lovely and makes me look forward to spring. The mochi has a smooth texture and is small, so it pairs well with tea and is quickly gone. I wish I could eat it not just in February, but all the time.

I often visit this place. It's located in the back left corner of Nakano Broadway, coming from Nakano Station. It's a tofu specialty store, but they also have a great selection of sweets! They have limited edition items depending on the day, but my recent favorites are the following three items: - Rich Matcha Pudding 108 yen - Soy Milk Tiramisu 324 yen - Nata de Coco 108 yen The rich matcha pudding is available on Mondays, I think. It's a soft and creamy pudding with a strong matcha flavor that becomes addictive. The soy milk tiramisu comes in a large portion and is my favorite among the different flavors available. Mixing nata de coco with plain yogurt keeps my stomach feeling good. These sweets are cheap, simple, and delicious. Highly recommended. Of course, their tofu and side dishes are also delicious!

I had lunch at Ajisai-san (*^^*) and since I don't usually visit Nakano town, I was a bit curious, so I took a stroll around Nakano Station (・д・ = ・д・) and stumbled upon this place called "Sandaimemoshuzo" inside the building. I didn't plan on buying anything, but I couldn't resist checking it out~ε=ε=(ノ≧∇≦)ノドタドタ The store had interesting tofu products and other items, so I looked around and came across a product called "Tofu Hanwantan" which caught my attention (゜o゜) and I impulsively bought it f(^^;ポリポリ Then I headed home on the train and took a break in my room (-_-) and now it's almost time for my evening drink, so I started preparing my ingredients ( ̄0 ̄)/オー First, I followed the cooking instructions on the Tofu Hanwantan package and made the sauce myself, and it was done\(^o^)/ Soon, my other dishes were ready too (^-^)v Delicious! Now, time to eat (m(._.)mイタダキマス) I tried one piece first (^o^)パクリ The Hanwantan has a pouch-like shape at the top, so the skin is dense and has a chewy texture (^-^) It's not very salty, so you need to prepare your own sauce (*^^*) The sweetness and flavor of tofu and pork come out well, with a gentle and soft taste ( ´∀`) There might be some cabbage inside, as there's a slightly crunchy texture, but the sweetness and flavor of cabbage are mild (^^; The thick skin holds up well, and if you boil it as instructed, the skin won't break easily, and when you bite into it, the meat juice comes out nicely, which is great (≧∇≦) You can use any sauce you like, such as gyoza sauce, sesame sauce, ginger soy sauce, etc., as the basic taste of tofu and pork is gentle and goes well with any sauce (^-^) It would be interesting to fry it like fried dumplings too (゜∇^d)!! Thank you, Sandaimemoshuzo-san, for the meal m(._.)m

My partner brought back some dishes such as inari sushi, gomoku inari sushi, and butter candy from this place. The store is located in a corner of a shopping street connected to Nakano Broadway at the north exit of Nakano Station, and it mainly sells various products made from tofu. This store is a chain store and I have visited a few of their locations before. The selling point is that the prices are very cheap and the variety of products is gradually increasing. The inari sushi and gomoku inari sushi are made with domestic rice and have a slightly sweet but delicious taste. Personally, I prefer a slightly sweeter taste. The butter candy is a traditional sweet from Akita Prefecture with a sweet taste similar to sugar candy but with a buttery flavor which gives it an interesting twist. I really like it. I didn't expect to find butter mochi at Shigekura. Oh, I still haven't tried the xiaolongbao and tofu miso pickles. Looking forward to it. Thank you for the meal.

Located in Nakano Broadway, this shop offers a variety of products made from tofu and soy milk, including tofu itself. The prices are affordable, which is a plus. I purchased the following items this time: - Inari Sushi with Small Shrimp (3 pieces) 180 yen (tax included) The fried tofu has a nice flavor without being too sweet. The rice is brown due to being tea-infused, but it was a bit hard, possibly due to low moisture content. However, the savory aroma of the small shrimp is delightful and the taste is delicious. - White Sesame Tofu 108 yen This tofu is neither good nor bad. It might taste better with wasabi soy sauce.

My aunt visited my parents and brought a souvenir. It seems she stopped by my grandmother's house before coming here. I peeked inside a shop at Nakano Broadway, but it looked like a deli, so I quickly left. It's a mochi with beans rolled up in a sheet and filled with sweet red bean paste, similar to salted daifuku. The paste isn't too sweet, and the mochi is soft. It seems like soy milk is in the skin. Please enjoy with green tea.

On the 1st floor of Nakano Broadway, near Waseda Street, there is a tofu-related store. There is no eat-in space, you just buy the products and take them home to eat. I have been using this store frequently lately, and they have a variety of items for sale, which makes browsing quite enjoyable. This time, I bought the following 4 items: - Soybean Karaage (216 yen) - Tofu meatballs with shiso and chicken cartilage (216 yen) - Super Jumbo Vegetable Gyoza (216 yen) - Seafood Dumplings (216 yen) The Soybean Karaage looks like regular chicken karaage but smaller in size. I cooked it in a frying pan, and it had a texture similar to the "tofu chicken" I had at a different place, which was surprisingly delicious and healthy. The Tofu meatballs with shiso and chicken cartilage resembled mini hamburgers and had a good amount of crunchy cartilage, making it quite tasty with the shiso flavor. The Super Jumbo Vegetable Gyoza was indeed large, but the filling was sparse, making it hard to cook evenly. The taste was mild due to the vegetable-centric filling, and dipping it in gyoza sauce enhanced the flavor. The Seafood Dumplings were cooked in 3 minutes and had a chewy skin with a filling of shrimp, scallops, and squid. The shrimp flavor was dominant, making it more delicious than the vegetable gyoza. Overall, these 216 yen items were surprisingly tasty and had a decent value for money. I look forward to trying more interesting items from this store in the future.

I love visiting this store!! Whenever I have business in Nakano, I always stop by this store. Today, I bought: - Silken fried tofu 105 yen - Fried tofu 105 yen - Soybean nuggets 210 yen - Inari sushi 210 yen - Burdock and black bean tea 210 yen I bought so much and it only cost 945 yen, so cheap! The store is very small, so it's a one-way street. You have to quickly put the items you want in your basket as you make one lap around the store, or you can't go back (because other customers are coming from behind). There's no time to hesitate, so I always end up buying too much... The side dishes here have all been good so far. The sweets are cheap and delicious too. Personally, I highly recommend the cream bread!! It was so delicious (although I don't eat sweets now...). I think it was only 105 yen, but it was as delicious as the cream bread from Hachidou. This is a store I want to continue visiting in the future.

On the first floor of Nakano Broadway, there is a tofu chain store. I'm not sure if this type of store should be reviewed on Tabelog. After all, it's just a tofu shop. If this store is okay to register, then vegetable shops, butcher shops, and fishmongers would also be okay. Can we call this a restaurant guide? There are already three reviews for this store, and many branches other than the one in Nakano Broadway are also registered. Let's muster up the courage and write a review. I thought the store only sold tofu, but they also had side dishes and sweets. Furthermore, the prices are cheap. There are tofu products ranging from a few tens of yen to around 100-300 yen. Tonight's drinking snacks will be covered at this store. Let's start with Tofu Water Dumplings (210 yen) and beer, and plan to have Soy Sauce-Pickled Bamboo Shoots (157 yen) with sake. I boiled the Tofu Water Dumplings immediately. Since no sauce was included, I'll eat them with ponzu soy sauce from my refrigerator. I could identify the ingredients as pork, chicken, leeks, and cabbage. There's tofu in it too, but it's hard to tell. It's quite light, almost refreshing in taste. The skin is very smooth. If you put it in your mouth quickly, you might swallow it down smoothly. It was too light, so it didn't go well with beer, but it was interesting and cheap with a unique texture, so I think it's worth a try. I warmed up the sake and poured out the Soy Sauce-Pickled Bamboo Shoots on a plate. I had a faint feeling, but the amount was very large. It could be enough for 2-3 people. It's a family size. However, the taste is somewhat vague. It's supposed to be simmered in bonito broth, but I can't feel the broth. Hmm, sprinkling bonito flakes might improve it a bit, but unfortunately, I only have granulated dashi at home. When it comes to this, the fact that the quantity is too large becomes regrettable. I realized once again that it's not a good idea to buy something cheap and in large quantities. As for the evaluation, I still have resistance to giving this store a score on Tabelog, so I decided not to give a score.

During the lunch break of the training session, I took a stroll around Nakano Broadway. There are various types of shops in Tokyo. While browsing around, I came across this tofu shop. I thought they only sold tofu, but they also had walnuts for sale, and they were cheap. As I was about to buy some walnuts, I noticed walnut mochi (108 yen) next to the cash register, and it was reasonably priced, so I decided to buy one. When I returned to my accommodation and tried it, it was delicious. The mochi had walnuts mixed in, and the walnut flavor was strong, but there was a nice balance of sweetness. I wondered what it was made of, and when I checked the ingredients, I found out that it contained starch syrup. I searched online and found out that this shop is quite common in the Kanto region.

When you go to Broadway, you can't help but stop by this shop. They have tofu, side dishes, and sweets, all with a simple and noteworthy feature - they are cheap! They have a wide variety of tofu! I couldn't decide between the red bean paste rice cake and the walnut rice cake, but the walnut rice cake I chose was surprisingly delicious! The soft rice cake with a black sesame-flavored red bean paste inside was smooth and tasty. The walnut added a fragrant taste, it was so delicious! I also bought some pickles and tofu, but I haven't tried them yet. Both were only 100 yen each. However, if you are someone who cares about domestically sourced ingredients or additives, this place might not be for you!

I visited this place for the first time last May. We picked up some fresh yuba, kimpira, and various other items in our basket and headed to the checkout. Just before that, I noticed some chimaki. We grabbed about six of them, and an elderly woman nearby was staring at us intently. By the time we left, there were only two chimaki left in the display. As we were waiting in line at the register, my wife handed me another item she found from the central display case. We bought quite a lot of things. When we got home, we enjoyed some beer with the fresh yuba. It was delicious and affordable. The kimpira had more fried ingredients than burdock (it might not have been kimpira after all). We tried various items and finished with the chimaki. The chimaki wrapped in bamboo leaves was chewy and tasty. Personally, I prefer ending a meal with takikomi gohan or chimaki rather than ramen. Towards the end of last year, my wife went to Broadway alone and brought back a variety of items from this store. We had sesame tofu, kinugoshi, u-no-hana, simmered hijiki and soybeans, konjac and black beans, simmered bamboo shoots and tripe, and of course, my wife's favorite fresh yuba. Oh, wait, there were no chimaki! When I asked my wife, she said they didn't have chimaki. It seems they only have it during the Boys' Festival. We enjoyed our snacks with beer, but there was no proper ending. I ended up making some zosui (or rather, a soup with little broth and added eggs) myself. It would be nice if they always had chimaki available...

The tofu that can be bought for 52 yen is surprisingly delicious (donburi tofu). I always buy the egg-shaped edamame tofu (2 pieces). But I feel like the taste was stronger in the past. The seasonal limited edamame grain tofu, which my parents loved, is now crab tofu. The two-piece ganmo with vegetables and hijiki is delicious as is, whether boiled or grilled. The pre-cooked pack of flavored ganmo is a bit salty on its own, so it might be tastier when cooked with vegetables. The deli items may vary depending on preference but seem lacking a bit. At one point, they were promoting tofu made from soybeans from the hometown of Anne of Green Gables, but compared to domestically produced soybeans, it had a distinct taste. They used that bean in fried tofu and soy milk at one point, but I don't see it around anymore. They also sell desserts, but I prefer traditional Japanese sweets like tofu milk yokan and chestnut yokan over Western-style ones. The seven-piece inari sushi (210 yen) is also recommended.

The soy milk from this manufacturer is cheap, with a slightly powdery taste but still maintains a decent standard. It also comes in a generous quantity, so I use it regularly. However, the meat buns purchased by my family recently were unbelievably unappetizing. The meat filling was dry and crumbly, making it unpleasant to eat. I tried adding mustard and soy sauce to salvage it, but it was no use, and I ended up giving up after eating only half. I understand that as a tofu manufacturer, they need to incorporate tofu into their products, but I wish they would do it more effectively. You can find 5 meat buns for around 300 yen at the supermarket, and they often go on sale for half price near the expiration date. The reference price for the buns from this manufacturer was much higher and not as delicious. I don't remember the exact price, but I believe it was around 100-200 yen per bun. You can find better options for under 200 yen at places like Shinjuku PAOPAO or "Mata Ashita" in Broadway. If you are going to charge a decent price, please ensure the taste matches. Let's at least surpass the quality of the YamaZaki Chinese buns sold in convenience stores. Customers are paying for a certain level of taste, so please deliver on that.
