On the first floor of Nakano Broadway, there is a tofu chain store. I'm not sure if this type of store should be reviewed on Tabelog. After all, it's just a tofu shop. If this store is okay to register, then vegetable shops, butcher shops, and fishmongers would also be okay. Can we call this a restaurant guide? There are already three reviews for this store, and many branches other than the one in Nakano Broadway are also registered. Let's muster up the courage and write a review. I thought the store only sold tofu, but they also had side dishes and sweets. Furthermore, the prices are cheap. There are tofu products ranging from a few tens of yen to around 100-300 yen. Tonight's drinking snacks will be covered at this store. Let's start with Tofu Water Dumplings (210 yen) and beer, and plan to have Soy Sauce-Pickled Bamboo Shoots (157 yen) with sake. I boiled the Tofu Water Dumplings immediately. Since no sauce was included, I'll eat them with ponzu soy sauce from my refrigerator. I could identify the ingredients as pork, chicken, leeks, and cabbage. There's tofu in it too, but it's hard to tell. It's quite light, almost refreshing in taste. The skin is very smooth. If you put it in your mouth quickly, you might swallow it down smoothly. It was too light, so it didn't go well with beer, but it was interesting and cheap with a unique texture, so I think it's worth a try. I warmed up the sake and poured out the Soy Sauce-Pickled Bamboo Shoots on a plate. I had a faint feeling, but the amount was very large. It could be enough for 2-3 people. It's a family size. However, the taste is somewhat vague. It's supposed to be simmered in bonito broth, but I can't feel the broth. Hmm, sprinkling bonito flakes might improve it a bit, but unfortunately, I only have granulated dashi at home. When it comes to this, the fact that the quantity is too large becomes regrettable. I realized once again that it's not a good idea to buy something cheap and in large quantities. As for the evaluation, I still have resistance to giving this store a score on Tabelog, so I decided not to give a score.
