I was invited to dine at a former business partner's restaurant. Having lived in Hokkaido for 17 years, I was impressed by the hospitality in the heart of Tokyo. The individual rooms seemed like banquet halls, but the attentive service from the staff was exceptional. Despite not eating much lately, I finished all the dishes. It's a place that I don't get to visit often, but the atmosphere made me want to go back again.

I have used a different store before and liked the atmosphere, so I chose this store this time. The store has a traditional Japanese atmosphere with private rooms, resembling a high-class Japanese restaurant. The tatami room was very calming. The course menu was mainly focused on steak, with a delightful surprise of nodoguro shabu-shabu. The broth was delicious. The sashimi was fresh and tasty. All the dishes were good. However, I have to give a low score for the service. The first person who served us seemed to have no knowledge about the menu and couldn't provide clear answers to our questions. They also didn't take our drink orders when they first came and had to come back later. The second person didn't seem to understand us well, probably not Japanese. And the third person, who seemed like a manager, responded to our questions and requests in a loud and intimidating manner. It felt like she was angry and shouting at us, which was quite scary. Everyone in my group felt the same way and it made us feel uncomfortable. The service was poor. Despite the great atmosphere and food, the disappointing service made me want to try other restaurants.

A restaurant that has been used for confidential discussions during lunchtime since ancient times. It's like the old restaurant by the Kamo River in Uchisaiwaicho. All rooms are private, clean, and the waitresses in kimono provide great service. It was a celebration for my 60th birthday, so they even took a photo for us and gave us the developed picture as a gift when we left. After completing the shrine visit at Hie Shrine in Akasaka, we walked down towards Akasaka-Mitsuke and had a celebration for our grandchild at the Kaiseki Kitaoji restaurant. It was our first time experiencing many things. I'm not good with formal ceremonies, so I kept asking the staff for help, but it turned out the person assisting us was still a rookie (laughs). In the end, I had to keep asking the veteran staff for guidance. The food was very elegant and skillfully prepared, with dishes typical of a traditional Japanese restaurant. As you descend downstairs, you will find a row of private rooms, where you are guided by staff in traditional Japanese attire. Here is what we enjoyed at today's banquet: - Appetizers included boiled vegetables, bamboo shoots, lotus root and conger eel, omelette with eel sushi, sweetfish pickled in vinegar, and deep-fried tofu with miso sauce. - Sashimi platter with tuna, amberjack, squid, and salmon. - Steamed sea bass with tofu skin. - Grilled Wagyu beef sukiyaki on a ceramic plate. - Seared swordfish. - Clam and ginger rice with miso soup. - Ice cream filled in a crispy waffle. The June "Seasonal Kaiseki" menu was a delight. The dishes were visually appealing from the appetizers onwards. The taste, presentation, and serving dishes were all excellent. The service was also outstanding. The spacious private rooms are perfect for hospitality.

[Kaiseki Cuisine] This time, I used it for a farewell party for my mentor. The restaurant's name is Akasaka Saryo, located in Nagatacho, Chiyoda-ku, right behind the National Diet Building. The person we were sending off is someone who would usually gather over twenty people with just a call, but due to the pandemic, we could only have a small group of 6 close members. On the day of the event, we confirmed each other's negative PCR results and body temperatures. As we enjoyed the meal, conversations flowed easily, even touching on topics from 30 years ago when we first met. Time flew by, and as the pandemic subsides, we promised to meet again. The person will be going to a new workplace as a director, and I hope they continue to be energetic and influential as before.

Located near Akasaka Mitsuke, Kitaoji is a great choice for various occasions with its private rooms. Enjoying a course meal with sake is a delightful experience, with consistently delicious dishes and just the right amount of portion. The sukiyaki is satisfying with a good portion size, and the addition of takikomi gohan is a nice touch. The only downside is that all the private rooms look similar, so it's easy to get lost when going to the restroom. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience. Thank you! ♡

The atmosphere inside the restaurant was nice, with private rooms where you couldn't hear the voices of neighboring tables. The dishes were served in a timely manner, and each dish was carefully prepared and delicious. I remembered a previous experience at another customer's place in Ginza, and the atmosphere and staff's hospitality were fantastic. The other day, I stumbled upon this lunch sign and decided to give it a try. Despite its expensive appearance, once I walked through the curtain, I was surprised by the bubbly atmosphere. Going downstairs, it was spacious and I was worried they wouldn't have the grilled beef set meal, but luckily they did. I asked if they had it just to be sure, and was told to place my order upon being seated. I was then led to a private room with a window, which was a bit nerve-wracking. It was quiet and my voice echoed, so I wish there was some background music. It took about 20 minutes after ordering for the food to arrive, which made me a bit anxious about my lunch break time. But when the food finally came, it was worth the wait. The meal included plenty of black wagyu beef, vegetables, grated radish, octopus and cucumber, seaweed salad, simmered eggplant, rice, and miso soup. The beef was tender and delicious, and for only 980 yen including tax, I thought it was a great deal. The portion was just right, and I was able to finish everything except the rice. Overall, I think the lunch set in a private room at this place is a good value for the money. It seems like a restaurant used for business meetings, but this lunch was excellent.

I had been to Kitaoji in Yurakucho before and the food was delicious, so I thought about going there again, but the atmosphere here was nice and there are also other branches, so I entered half nervous and half excited. The atmosphere was nice but quiet, making me even more nervous. ★Appetizer ★Sashimi Assortment The sashimi was fresh and delicious. I couldn't take a cute picture of the appetizer, which was a shame. ★Hot Pot Black Wagyu Shabu-Shabu (with shimeji mushrooms, tofu, onions, green onions, watercress, and yuzu pepper) The broth was delicious, and the meat was tender when lightly dipped in the broth. The restaurant is stylish, so the portion sizes may be small, which might not appeal to all men. However, I prefer smaller portions, so it was just right for me. The atmosphere was perfect for a leisurely adult time. I will choose the right company to go with, and I hope to visit again in the future.
