ウニ王子
Located between Omotesando Station and Shibuya Station, in the Araki Building B1F in Shibuya 1-chome, is a visit to "Jinenjo Tororo". As the name suggests, Jinenjo Tororo specializes in dishes using Japanese wild yam. The interior of the restaurant, with around 20 seats including sunken kotatsu-style seating, features a concrete and stone decor. The menu offers a variety of set meals based on wild yam and fresh wild yam, with side dishes such as chicken soboro, pork shabu-shabu, mentaiko takana, bakudan, and roast beef with shirasu. For those looking for dinner options, there is also a night set menu available. Please note that in the evening, there is a one-drink, one-food item policy per person.

"Mentaiko Takana" Fresh Wild Yam Croquette Set Meal - 1,760 yen
Comes with salad, side dish, and miso soup. The fresh wild yam, which can also be eaten raw, has a firm texture, fine grain, and a flavorful taste. However, the rice was poorly cooked, dry, and not a good match with the wild yam. The croquette selection included what seemed like frozen items simply deep-fried, such as cheese croquette, chicken nuggets, and others. The quality of these items was below expectations. I would have appreciated more attention to detail in the rice, water, and other side dishes. The fact that the dishes from the tables on both sides of me were left dirty and not cleared during my entire visit in a not-so-crowded restaurant was also off-putting. The service from the staff was lacking as well. I do not plan to visit again. Thank you for the meal!
