Today, I finally got to eat at the 100 yen sushi restaurant on Saturday. I arrived a little after 3 o'clock, but they were already open. Luckily, I was able to go in without waiting. I ordered a beer first, but they didn't bring any appetizers until I asked. The sushi chef was working hard making sushi, but the staff in the dining area were terrible. They seemed reluctant to help and avoided eye contact, providing no service at all. I wanted to enjoy my meal, but paying money and feeling bad is not a good experience.

Whenever I go, this fish market is always delicious! I went after a long time and was surprised by how tasty the fish was! The assorted tuna and sashimi platter were both generous in portion, and it made the drinks go down smoothly. Thank you for the delicious meal!

I had been curious about this restaurant for a while, so I decided to visit on Saturday when they offer sushi for 100 yen per piece. I arrived a little after 4 o'clock and the restaurant was already full. There were 7 groups (14 people) waiting outside. I was in the mood for sushi since the morning, but I was late. However, the turnover was quite fast and I was able to get a seat in about 30 minutes. As soon as I sat down, I ordered a draft beer, recommended abalone and turban shell. Then, I ordered sushi (you can write up to 10 pieces on a paper). However, it took a while for the sushi to be served... While waiting, I ended up drinking two highballs. (The highball here is 1.5 times the normal size). I later found out from the staff that I can submit the next order sheet before the sushi is served. This could save some time. They also have other side menu items, so I would like to try something different next time. I was satisfied with the cost performance. I left the restaurant around 6 o'clock as they have a 90-minute time limit, and there was already a line forming. It seems like making a reservation for dinner time would be a good idea.

On Saturdays at noon, they have a special where you can get sushi for 100 yen each. They open at 12:00, but even if you arrive at 11:50 and start eating around 12:30, it's okay. It may take a little time after you sit down to get your food. On this day, the sea urchin was better than the tuna! The saury was also great. The pieces are not too big, so you can eat about 20 pieces.

I was intrigued by an Instagram post and decided to visit the restaurant on Saturday for their 100 yen promotion. I started lining up about 40 minutes before opening and was able to get in on the first round. We could only order up to 10 pieces at a time using a form. I didn't have high expectations, but the way the sea urchin was served was disappointing, unlike the other seats where it was nicely presented. Perhaps it was a matter of quantity? The taste was neither good nor bad. It was labeled as natural, so there was no chemical smell. The tuna was slightly chewy (semi-frozen). The service was incredibly slow, so if you're short on time, it's best to avoid this place. The cost performance wasn't worth the wait in line, so I'm not sure if I would visit again.

Looking for delicious fish, I headed to Darihan in Yoyogi, but they were closed for renovations until tomorrow. Luckily, I found out there was another location with 2 seats available, so I went to the Tekuteku Minami-guchi branch instead. I tried the saury sashimi and monkfish liver for the first time, and they were delicious. I enjoyed some tuna sashimi with sake as well. The staff, including a familiar waitress, were friendly and the atmosphere was great. We ended up spending around 10,000 yen for two people. Thank you for the meal!

I revisited the sushi restaurant on Saturday's 100 yen sushi day. I started with some recommended sashimi and sake, as usual. I was able to compare and enjoy both regular oysters and rich-tasting rock oysters. This season, the rich-tasting rock oysters were the winner. Unfortunately, I missed out on trying Tottori's branded rock oysters, Natsuki, this year. The recommended sashimi of yellowtail was also good. I wonder why there was a memory care drink included? Maybe because I tend to forget things when I drink too much...

It's about a 10-minute walk from Shinjuku South Exit. I visited the popular sushi restaurant Sushi Darihan Minami-guchi. It opens at 4 pm, but there were already customers inside. I went there today for the Saturday-only sushi. The 100 yen per piece deal is amazing. It's really crowded, so be prepared to wait for your sushi. There were customers getting irritated here and there. The sushi is delicious and has great value, so let's be patient. The appetizers like sashimi platter, salad, boiled squid, whole oysters, abalone sashimi, and tempura platter are all cheap and delicious. It's an easy-going sushi restaurant where you can casually drop by. When I left the restaurant, there were about 20 people waiting in line. I recommend going 10 minutes before opening next time. I'll try the simmered kinmedai next time. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

Wandering around at Nitori near the southeast exit of Shinjuku Station. Feeling hungry, so checked out Tabelog. It's a sushi izakaya, quite lively with other customers having a big feast with sashimi. Ordered the premium nigiri (1600 yen) and the specialty roll (800 yen). Even if you don't drink, you'll get an appetizer (300 yen). The atmosphere is like an izakaya, but the sushi was really good. The first Kohada was especially nice! (The vinegar for the finishing touch was mild)

I don't want to write too many negative things, but the 100 yen dishes are cheap, but the taste is honestly not that great. The chawanmushi is better when made at home. The tempura assortment includes three shrimp and squid tempura for 1000 yen, so the tempura donburi chain is tastier. I wasted my stomach space.

I visited the restaurant for lunch on Saturday. According to the information on Tabelog, it says the restaurant opens at 4 pm on Saturdays, but it actually opens at 12 pm. I lined up around 11:30 am and there were about 3 groups ahead of me. Before the opening, there were about 30 groups waiting in line. On Saturdays, all sushi is priced at 100 yen each. You write down your order on a piece of paper. They have high-end items like Otoro, Chutoro, ikura, Uni, Kinmedai, and Zuwai crab. In my opinion, the taste is similar to conveyor belt sushi, and the quality can vary depending on the sushi chef. However, considering the price, it offers great value for money.

I usually visit Darihan Honten, but this time I decided to try Darihan Minamiguchi. I recommend making a reservation in advance. There are not many places near Shinjuku where you can eat delicious fish at a reasonable price with peace of mind, but if you're in a bind, choosing Darihan is the safest bet. If you're not sure what's good on the menu that day, feel free to ask the staff! They will kindly explain the specials for the day. Whether you order them or not is up to you. Thank you for the delicious meal.

I visited for lunch on Saturday. There was a long line even before they opened. I waited in line around 1 pm and got seated after about 30 minutes. On Saturdays, each piece of sushi is only 100 yen. I had 10 pieces including uni and otoro, which were delicious. I also ordered other dishes and had a lot to eat and drink. It cost me 5,000 yen in total, which was a great deal.

On Saturdays, it's Sushi Day at Darihan where each piece is only 100 yen. I heard about it from my son and have been to the Darihan near Yoyogi Station a few times. The grilled bonito is delicious there. This time, I visited the Darihan at the south exit for the first time. When I arrived at 3:50 pm, there were about 20 people in line. By 4:03 pm, customers who had finished eating started coming out. Wait, they don't open until 4 pm? The staff slowly let customers in. I didn't understand the system. At 4:12 pm, the staff asked for the number of people in line. After waiting for 30 minutes, I finally entered the restaurant. I thought I would sit at the counter as a solo diner, but I was guided to a table at the back. I ordered cold sake and the grilled bonito. For the sushi, you write the quantity on a piece of paper, up to 10 pieces. I wrote 10 pieces and handed it over. After finishing the cold sake, I ordered Kirin Yamahai. While drinking, the grilled bonito arrived at the table, to be eaten with garlic and salt. It was delicious! The cold sake went down smoothly. A plate of 10 pieces of sushi was brought to me, each one tasting way better than its 100 yen price tag. I ordered another cold sake, Kikuzui, and 2 pieces of nigiri and a small dish. The small dish cost 200 yen. While drinking Kikuzui, I went to the restroom and when I returned, the table had been cleared. I told the staff that I was still drinking, and they brought me another glass of cold sake as a service. I finished eating by 5:30 pm, and there were already more than 30 people waiting outside the restaurant.

For my birthday lunch, I decided to go for sushi! I headed straight to Sushi Darihan, a place I had been eyeing. The name "Darihan" comes from a sushi restaurant slang where 1 is "pin", 2 is "ryan", 3 is "geta", and 4 is "dari". This means they want you to enjoy it for 4,500 yen, hence the name "Darihan". They offer fresh and affordable sushi, lined up beautifully in front of the counter. Today, I ordered the nigiri for 1,100 yen. It was like a treasure box of sushi! I even tried tamagoyaki in a sushi roll for the first time. Their tuna was shining brightly. I can't believe you can eat sushi at this price in Shinjuku! I will definitely be coming back again. ☆ Tabelog rating: 3.43 - Business hours: 11:00-15:00, lunch ends when the ingredients run out - Closed: None - Payment: Cards, electronic money accepted #ShinjukuLunch #ShinjukuGourmet #ShinjukuSushi #ShinjukuSanchomeLunch #SushiInstagram #SushiLover #SushiDarihan #DarihanNankuchi #Tsukiji #Toyosu #ShinjukuSouthExit

It's no good, right?! I came here for the sushi, sashimi, and tuna, but as soon as I entered the restaurant, the landlady said, "We have a limited special grilled fish dish!" I'm such a sucker for words like "limited" and "last one"... How weak can a guy like me be? Everyone else was enjoying their sushi and tuna bowls, but there I was, already ordering the limited special dish! But you know what, I quickly understood why it sells out so fast... it was delicious! The fatty mackerel, sashimi, salad, side dish, miso soup with seaweed, and peach jelly for dessert... it all went so well together. Next time, I'll come back for the sushi, sashimi, and tuna!

[Nearest Station] 3 minutes walk from Shinjuku Station [Visit Time] Saturday, around 7:00 PM [Purpose] Dinner [Closed Days] None [Reservation] Not required [Waiting Time (outside the store)] 30 minutes [Number of People] 2 [Budget] ¥2,000-¥3,000 [Order] Chutoro (10 pieces) ¥1,000, Uni (10 pieces) ¥1,000, Sakura Ebi (2 pieces) ¥200, Eel (2 pieces) ¥200, Squid Legs (2 pieces) ¥200, Salmon (2 pieces) ¥200, Ikura (2 pieces) ¥200, etc. [Recommended for People] Those looking for a sushi restaurant around Shinjuku Station and wanting to go to a sushi restaurant with good cost performance [Overview] Located on the 1st floor of Link Square Shinjuku in the Yoyogi area, the shop "Sushi Darihan Minamiguchi" is the second branch of Sushi Darihan in Yoyogi. On Saturdays, they are causing a price disruption by offering all types of sushi for ¥100 each. Due to the extreme price disruption, there is usually a line, but I highly recommend it! [Review] ☆Chutoro (10 pieces) ¥1,000 The champion menu is here! I honestly didn't have high expectations since it's only ¥100 per piece, but they served tuna with a good amount of fat! Unless you are an extreme gourmet, it's totally okay! ☆Sakura Ebi (2 pieces) ¥200 The runner-up menu is here! Fresh sakura shrimp with scallions and ginger is a perfect combination. The quality for ¥100 was so good that I was like, "Is this really okay?" Thank you for the treat!

【Nearest station】5-minute walk from Shinjuku Station 【Visiting hours】Visited around 7:00 p.m. on Saturday 【Purpose】Dinner 【Regular holiday】None 【Reservation】Not available, reservations are not accepted 【Waiting time】Wait time of about 30 minutes 【Number of people】2 people 【Amount spent】¥2500-¥3000 【Order contents】30 plates of ¥100 sushi, grapefruit sour for ¥500 or less 【Recommended for people who】 - Are looking for cost-effective sushi around Shinjuku Station - Want to eat sushi inexpensively - Can go out on Saturdays 【Impressions】 "I visited this place for the ¥100 sushi sale that is held every Saturday. I arrived before 7:00 p.m. and waited in line for about 30 minutes before being seated. This time, I sat at the counter and could see the chef making sushi up close. The speed at which they made the sushi was really fast, and you can eat without waiting long. The ¥100 sushi was surprisingly delicious, not at all what you would expect for the price. If they still have the ingredients, you can eat unlimited amounts of otoro, uni, and ikura, which is great value for money! Unfortunately, they had run out of otoro by the time I went in the evening, but I was able to enjoy 10 pieces each of chutoro and uni, which made me feel happy beyond the price I paid. If you want to try high-end cuts like otoro, I recommend going early. I would like to go early next time to enjoy the otoro! The appetizer was also very delicious and made me feel happy. Overall, it was a great value restaurant to visit on Saturdays! I would like to visit on weekdays as well to check the regular prices!" 【Recommended items】 - All the ¥100 sushi was delicious! It might be worth visiting every Saturday. Please try it out! Thank you for the meal!

I arrived a little after 1:30 PM. I was able to get in without waiting for lunch! I ordered various tuna dishes and paired them with sake from Yamanashi and Kochi prefectures, drinking a total of 3 cups! It had been a while since I came to Shinjuku, and the restaurant I was planning to go to was only open for dinner. I quickly searched and found this sushi restaurant, which turned out to be the right choice!! It was convenient and very delicious.

Had lunch at Darihan with my colleagues after a long time. Darihan is a popular sushi restaurant near Yoyogi Station that is always crowded and hard to get into. Since our company moved to Yoyogi, we have been using this place regularly for company gatherings, and this location at the south exit is our second favorite. Despite the usual crowds, we were able to get in smoothly this time, probably because it was past 1 pm on a weekday. Ordered the 10-piece sushi set for lunch. The fish was fresh and delicious as always. While there are plenty of delicious sushi places if you're willing to pay more, I think the quality you get for this price range is excellent. If you're in the Shinjuku or Yoyogi area, I highly recommend trying this place at least once.
