The first drink of the summer this year was exceptional. I also ordered leaf wasabi and grilled squid with mayo. The spiciness of the leaf wasabi was like a little punishment game! It reminded me of the wasabi rolls at Shinjuku Yamato. The squid mayo was delicious, a friend of a drinker! There were some reasonable set menus, but I made the right choice with this selection! When you enter, they should ask if you need a chair, as they only have chairs without backrests. You order by writing on paper each time. There are no checks or numbers, so writing the item names can be a bit of a hassle. The prices are reasonable.

Recently, my favorite place is a standing bar where drinks are cheaper, but I prefer to sit down. I always start with a small drinking set - 3 pieces of sushi, a nori roll, a highball, and a small dish for 980 yen. Apparently, it would be 780 yen if I were standing. On this day, I had mackerel and squid as my sushi choices. I opted for a kanpyo roll because I like kanpyo rolls with shiso. I was happy that I could request shiso to be added directly to the chef in front of me. I enjoyed my meal, and then I added negitoro, tamago, and anago, which are affordable toppings. It didn't cost me more than 2000 yen, and I had a great time drinking and eating quickly. It's perfect for a pre-drinks gathering. Next time, I want to start with a sashimi platter and enjoy some sake slowly.

Today's weather is gloomy, so I decided to buy some horse racing tickets in Shinjuku and then have sushi! I arrived at the store at 11:50 AM and there was no line. I was seated at the counter right away. As a greeting, I ordered sea urchin for ¥390, squid for ¥130, tuna for ¥270, and pickled radish roll for ¥230. The sushi chef made them one after another. The rice was seasoned with red vinegar. The sea urchin was watery, the tuna was cold, the squid was delicious, and the pickled radish roll was consistently tasty. I also had some clam for ¥270 and scallop for ¥350. I love the crunchy texture of the shellfish. The sushi rice was quite large here, so I was full after 9 pieces of sushi and 1 roll. It was a satisfying meal for ¥1,640. This is a great place for a quick sushi meal.

After work, I had a great deal for lunch at a sushi restaurant where I could enjoy sushi for only 870 yen! The sushi was made by a skilled chef and it was really amazing considering the price. I also ordered chawanmushi. I would definitely like to have a meal at this place again.
