Double ¥660 Salted Caramel Chocolate Mint - Overall, the gelato is soft and creamy with a strong dairy flavor. The salted caramel has a hint of caramel and a strong milk flavor with a touch of saltiness, refreshing and delicious! It's not overly sweet. The chocolate mint has a strong dairy flavor with a hint of mint, and it also contains chocolate chips. The chocolate chips are dark chocolate-like. This one is also refreshing.

I had this ice cream as a substitute for lunch when I had errands nearby. There were 12 flavors available that day, and after careful consideration, I decided to go with "chocolate" and "black sesame" in a cup. The cup was bigger than I expected... Anyway, let's dig in! First, I tried the black sesame flavor. As I took a bite, it slowly melted in my mouth, spreading the unique nutty aroma and a mellow sweetness. It was a very straightforward black sesame ice cream, with a nice touch of crushed sesame seeds. Then, I tried the chocolate flavor. Oh, it was nostalgic! It reminded me of the chocolate ice cream my grandma used to buy for me at the food court. It had a taste somewhere between cocoa and chocolate, not like the common cocoa-flavored chocolate ice cream. It was exactly what I imagined chocolate ice cream to taste like. The serving size was quite generous. While it didn't have any standout features, it was a good choice for when you just want a reliable ice cream. This place might be perfect for those times. Thank you for the meal!

I wandered around Akihabara. I went there with someone. We found this place and decided to have gelato. There are seats for about 4 people at the back of the store. There are so many flavors to choose from that it's hard to decide. I had mango, salted caramel, my eldest son had black sesame, my second son had chocolate mint and Hokkaido milk, and my daughter had cookies & cream and mango. The mango was very rich and delicious. After the mango, I couldn't taste the salted caramel anymore. I realized this and tried the salted caramel next, which was also delicious. Both were refreshing gelato flavors. The other flavors were also well-received. My son was happy with the large pieces of chocolate in the chocolate mint. He said the black sesame was also rich.

It's a bit chilly, but we're eating gelato! I got a double scoop of chocolate mint and milk gelato. My friend got a double scoop of sesame and melon. The milk gelato is made with condensed milk, so it's sweet and creamy. The chocolate mint has a light mint flavor with chocolate chips as a nice touch. The sesame gelato has a great sesame flavor. The melon gelato tastes just like melon. There are so many flavors to choose from, it's hard to decide!

The standard type of shop where you pay before ordering, Abucha Tea House has been expanding in Hong Kong for quite some time. It seems like there are more shops in the Chinese-speaking area than in Japan. The shop's signage is in Chinese characters, and before the pandemic, it was always packed with tourists. They use Hokkaido milk, which is favored by Chinese customers. Nowadays, with most shops empty, it's advantageous for Japanese customers. The ice cream with brown rice tea flavor was new to me and not bad. The chocolate mint flavor didn't have much of a mint taste. There are a few booths inside the shop where you can sit, and we enjoyed our treats there. Thank you for the meal. Please remember to save the shop for future reference.

There is an ice cream shop in front of Akihabara Station called "Azabu Chabo". They also have stores in Taiwan, Vietnam, and other countries. The menu includes soft serve ice cream, gelato, and drinks. This time, I tried a double scoop of gelato with Hokkaido milk and Hokkaido melon flavors. A single scoop costs 420 yen, while a double scoop costs 570 yen, which is a bit pricey for the amount you get. The gelato has a refreshing taste with a mild sweetness. You can taste the flavors of the ingredients themselves. It has a pleasant aftertaste.

The reviewer visited a cafe called "Mabu Tea Room" which specializes in ice cream. They ordered the popular flavor, Cookies & Cream, which had cookie dough mixed into the ice cream. The ice cream was fresh and delicious, with a good amount of cream and a nice texture. The reviewer also enjoyed the experience of finding the white cream pieces scattered throughout the black ice cream. Overall, they found the ice cream to be surprisingly satisfying and enjoyable.

I was in Akihabara for some errands and felt thirsty while walking around. I came across what seemed to be an ice cream shop, but since it was a bit chilly that day, I wasn't in the mood for ice cream. Instead, I ordered a hojicha milk with chewy tapioca pearls. I wonder if tapioca is still popular these days? I occasionally see new shops popping up. The hojicha milk with chewy pearls was quite delicious. The combination of black sugar and hojicha worked really well together. I think I'll come back in the summer to try their ice cream.

Got off at Akihabara Station. Exit the Denki-gai exit and turn left to find the gelato shop on the 1st floor of Hotel Mets Akihabara. It is located in the passageway connecting the Denki-gai exit and the central ticket gate outside the ticket gates. It is a Japanese branch of a popular overseas shop. They sell gelato, matcha soft serve ice cream, and tapioca drinks. The gelato case can hold up to 24 flavors, and cones are ¥60 more than cups. There is no seating area, but there are trash cans.
I visited on a Saturday around 1 pm in November 2019. Although it seems to target foreign tourists, I didn't see many foreigners buying. The staff offered me a taste of Hokkaido melon flavor, which was sweet and enjoyable but slightly crunchy in texture. I wanted something smoother, so I chose a classic flavor.
I purchased a double cup of gelato for ¥570, with chocolate and café au lait flavors. Both flavors were delicious, bringing out the best in the ingredients. Despite the small cup size, I was satisfied with the taste. The gelato is suitable for Japanese taste buds. The small cup size was a bit disappointing, but the quality of the gelato made up for it. It was a refreshing treat in Akihabara, especially after the closure of Mother Farm Atre Akihabara, known for its cool sweets.

I didn't really notice the smell of melon and milk, but it's somewhat delicious.

In October 2019, a new gelato shop opened near the Electric Town exit of Akihabara Station. I had been curious about it since I first saw it, and finally shared a single cup with my husband yesterday. I was intrigued by the "Intense Matcha" flavor, but I chose the popular No.1 "Hokkaido Milk" flavor to match my husband's preference. Despite the name "Hokkaido," it was surprisingly refreshing rather than rich. It was a cool day when we visited, but I think it would be perfect on a hot day! The price for a single cup with the amount we got was a bit on the higher side at 420 yen... but it may vary for each person. I thought we would only get one spoon since it was a single cup, but the staff kindly gave us two spoons to make sharing easier! I was very happy with their thoughtfulness.
