A brewery with a shop located along the Sumida River, about a 10-minute walk from Asakusa Station. I've been curious about this place for a while. Today, I visited for the second time, and was able to get in easily by calling on the same day on a Saturday night. They have a wide selection of doburoku (unrefined sake) and sake lined up. The interior of the shop is calm with sofa seats. Tonight, I toasted with a sakuramochi doburoku, which was surprisingly delicious! They also have other unique flavors like jasmine and fruit. While the selection of sake is not extensive, you can choose from the cases and enjoy them. Another great dining experience at Samurai tonight!

☺️☺️Asakusa ALL WRIGHT sake place Tabelog rating 3.19 Price range: 3000-4000 yen "A sake bar with a brewery in Asakusa!" Located just a few minutes' walk from Asakusa Station, this hidden gem is nestled along a small path by the Sumida River. It is a bar at the direct-operated store where Kino Hana Brewing is located. If you're lucky, you can enjoy a sake brewery tour and watch the process while dining. This time, we visited to buy Kino Hana Brewing's sake and enjoy it with some food on the spot. 【Atmosphere】The chic and modern interior, reminiscent of brickwork, with the brewery right at the entrance. To the right, a stunning display of craft sake in a refrigerated showcase. Further back, there are spacious counter and table seats. 【Food】Below are the menu items for this visit. Items that stood out are marked with ○ or ◎ ☺️ ------------------------------------------------------- ️Nachos Assorted tempura skewers ------------------------------------------------------- You can enjoy various types of craft sake, including tasting sets and hot sake options. 【Price】We tried all types of craft sake and had food for about 5000 yen per person. 【Reservation】Reservations can be made relatively easily on Tabelog. It seemed like you could also walk in without a reservation. 【Summary】A bar with a brewery attached is rare in Tokyo, and I thought it was great to be able to enjoy their sake while having a meal. It was delicious! Today is a holiday, and I went on a long walk with my wife. We started from home, walked through Nezu, Ueno, and Iriya, then through the back alleys of Kotoen Street to reach the Sumida River. We continued along the Sumida River boardwalk and crossed the Azuma Bridge to Komagata. Feeling a bit tired from walking, we stumbled upon a bar-like establishment just ahead of Nabenoy-ism. It was called Mokuhana Brewery "It's gonna be alright." We were surprised to see brewing tanks inside, and the friendly lady welcomed us to their secret base where they serve the cloudy sake they make here. We decided to try their tasting set in the cozy sofa area. The first sake, Hanakumori The Acid, had a unique sourness from using white koji in fermentation. The Hop Sake, brewed with hops like beer, had a beer-like bitterness. The All Koji Sake was made only with koji rice, giving it a unique taste. We also tried warming up the Hanakumori sake, which enhanced its sweetness and made it more enjoyable. We paired the sake with delicious ham cutlets, pickles, and spicy curry. The curry was surprisingly spicy, but balanced well with the sake. Overall, it was a fun and interesting walking and drinking experience. We ended the day with a leisurely walk back home, covering over 20km in total. Walking in the city always leads to exciting discoveries and enjoyable moments.

Weekend drinking in Asakusa... Today, I was invited by a drinking buddy to "Hanako" in Asakusa! After enjoying delicious food and sake, we headed to "Kihana Shuzojo" nearby. First, we toasted with a watermelon cocktail! It was juicy and perfect for summer. Next, we tried a tasting set from Kihana Shuzojo, including Hanagumori, All-Koji Sake (unfiltered and pasteurized), and Hop Sake Smoothie. It was fun to taste the differences between the three varieties.

I was drawn to visit this restaurant because it has a brewery attached. The entrance is marked "Kibana Brewery," and inside you can see fermentation tanks. You can drink the locally made doburoku here! It was fun up to that point, but the rest was a bit lacking. The doburoku I drank on-site was indeed delicious, but doburoku is not something you can drink a lot of... So it's good that they also offer various types of sake, but I feel like sake and the cafe-like atmosphere inside don't quite match. The food was tasty and paired well with sake, but it felt like something was missing in terms of flavor. It's definitely delicious, but if they're going for this style, it could be even better. I felt like they should make better use of the brewery (which currently seems underutilized) and that there's a slight mismatch between the casual drinkers and the calm cafe atmosphere. I observed that many other customers were casually enjoying the doburoku. Personally, I feel that they should: - Make better use of the brewery since it's there (currently not being utilized) - There seems to be a mismatch between the casual drinkers' preferences and the calm cafe-like atmosphere.

Skytree - The last stop on a daytime drinking stroll in Asakusa. A specialty shop for unrefined sake (doburoku)! Already had plenty of highball beers, so here are 3 recommended choices. The miso-marinated trio of cheeses for snacks was delicious. Next time, I'll take it easy at the first stop.

Located a 3-minute walk from Asakusa Station A2a exit, in a building along the Sumida River alley, is the restaurant "ALL WRIGHT sake place." I visited for the first time in early October afternoon. This is a cafe & bar attached to the Kimoto Brewing Company. As the name suggests, it seems to be a place where you can enjoy beer and sake. The stylish interior has a counter, table, and sofa seating for a total of 30 seats. There is also a standing space. I was seated at the end of the counter. The restaurant is run by three young men. When I sat down, the staff recommended their homemade doburoku. So, I ordered the "Hanagumori the Acid (90ml)" for 550 yen. For snacks, I chose the "Three-point snack platter" where you can choose three items from eight sake snacks on the table for 740 yen. The "Hanagumori the Acid" was recommended to me as I mentioned that I like dry sake. It was delicious, with a rich umami unique to doburoku, a sweetness like amazake, and a refreshing finish like soda water. The three snacks I chose that day were homemade nametake, homemade salted squid, and marinated tuna sashimi. They were all perfect for sake. Next, I tried their new product, "Hop Sake (90ml)" for 550 yen. This doburoku has hops added, giving it a lighter taste compared to the previous one. It had a grainy texture of sake lees, which was nice. I liked it so much that I decided to order a bottle for 2300 yen. The staff advised me to enjoy the top layer first before shaking the bottle for the full flavor. It was indeed delicious, with a crisp and refreshing taste. The bottle was soon empty, and I settled the bill in a tipsy mood. It was a great experience to savor doburoku. I look forward to visiting again. Thank you for the meal.

Hey hey, rr2027. It's nice to see you enjoying sake in the afternoon, but don't forget about studying! This restaurant in Tokyo is the only one that makes and serves dobrew from koji. The renowned brewer Okazumi Shuhei is the head brewer here, having trained at the former Shinsei Sake Brewery. Making sake legally is tough, and there are various methods to make something sake-like without breaking the law. Sake must be made from rice and rice koji, must not be filtered, and must have an alcohol content of less than 22%. Some brewers, like WAKAZE in Sangenjaya, add herbs to their sake, creating a unique product. Some, like Hotaru in Kanda, make unfiltered dobrew. Making sake with an alcohol content higher than 22% is rare, with only Tamagawa in Kyoto known to do so. This restaurant's new product is made entirely from koji, which is quite unusual as usually rice is also needed. The dobrew has a strong alcohol taste and a nice rice flavor. The fully koji-brewed sake has a strong acidity that balances out the sweetness. It's a bit pricey but delicious. They also make a sake in collaboration with Tsuchida Sake Brewery in Gunma, which has a honey-like sweetness and strong acidity. The sake is made with almost no rice polishing. Some people think that sake with high polishing ratios is the only good sake, but that's not true. Even with a 90% rice polishing ratio, you can still get a delicious sake. Sure, the high-polished sake has its appeal and value, but it's not the only type of sake out there. The price may be high because the brewery is small, but the unique taste you get here is worth it. I enjoyed it with some sweet sake lees dry fruit butter, made with sake lees from this restaurant. It's sweet and delicious, and I appreciate the story behind it. That's the kind of cooking I like, with no waste.

In February 2021, I was surprised to find such a stylish brewery in Asakusa. A friend found this place where you can enjoy light meals and sake. I tried the Hanagumori doburoku made here. It has a texture like sweet sake with grains in it, and it's full of lactic acid bacteria. It might be a matter of personal preference, but I found it a little challenging, so I switched to the reliable NO.6 for my second drink. It's great that you can choose the amount you want. I wanted to try the delicious-smelling potato fries that people at other tables were ordering, but I was already full, so I opted for the marinated tuna instead. The seating is spacious, with a decent number of seats, and there are also counter seats, making it easy for solo visitors. It was a wonderful restaurant.

Today the chef is off so they couldn't make skewers, which was disappointing. But oh well, let's drink! There are so many types of canned beer to choose from. The appetizers here are also really delicious. It's great to find a place with both tasty drinks and appetizers!

The "Hanagumori" brand cloudy sake was delicious with a clear layer on top, but since I ordered it without heating, it was really like drinking unrefined sake with just the texture of rice grains. It seems they have a wide variety of snacks as well. I tried two types this time, and the pear and Kyoho grape salad was really delicious. Next time, I feel like having a beer.

We visited All Right Sake Place for a café experience. I had a matcha latte with Uji matcha (580 yen), my wife had a matcha latte with Nishio matcha (580 yen), and my daughter had a hojicha latte (560 yen). We also tried the matcha tiramisu. The matcha lattes were delicious, but the matcha tiramisu didn't really taste like tiramisu. The added Shibukawa chestnut (150 yen) and Hokkaido milk red bean (150 yen) ice cream was really tasty.

Opened in June 2020, this café & bar in Asakusa is also the first sake brewery in the area. The Kono Hana Brewery has a unique atmosphere with its café and bar combined. The dimly lit interior creates a moody ambiance, with seating available at the counter and tables for a total of around 31 seats. It's a bar, but it's also a place where a woman can comfortably enjoy a cup of tea alone. The location is convenient, just a 3-minute walk from both Asakusa and Kuramae stations. You can also enjoy just tea during the day, but this time I also had some drinks. Matcha Tiramisu ¥580 I visited for this matcha tiramisu, and it was really good. It has a nice Japanese touch, refreshing and perfect for dessert after a meal or drinks. The matcha powder on top adds a bitter taste and aroma, perfect for matcha lovers. It also contains mascarpone cheese and custard cream. It's cool, moist, and has a refreshing taste, making it a perfect Japanese-style tiramisu. Cold Tomatoes ¥680 After sweating from walking, I wanted something cold, so I ordered the cold tomatoes. The simple menu is great. The ice-chilled tomatoes have a firm texture and refreshing taste. The addition of salt enhances the sweetness. Using fresh tomatoes directly from the farm, it's a natural summer treat. Edamame Beans ¥630 I like regular edamame, but when there's "dada-cha" beans, I can't resist ordering them. The freshly boiled dada-cha beans are hot and fluffy. They have a unique flavor that makes them stand out. A great snack to pair with drinks.

I heard that a place making doburoku opened in Asakusa, so I decided to check it out. I arrived at the shop at 3 pm. The shop is located between Asakusa and Kuramae, closer to Asakusa, diagonally across from the Michelin two-star restaurant NABENOISM. The interior of the shop has a kitchen and a brewery in the front, a dining space in the back, and further back, there is a refrigerated case filled with craft beers. The dining space is quite stylish with leather sofas, chandeliers, and modern art on the walls, making it popular for couples. I informed them that it was my first visit, and they briefly explained about the doburoku they make here. They mentioned that they offer two types of doburoku to drink here: the regular doburoku that has been heated, and the unpasteurized fresh sake. The fresh sake can only be enjoyed here. I ordered both the heated and fresh sake. While waiting, I went to check out the craft beer in the back refrigerated case and found a bottle of Uchu. My partner always carries a cooler bag and ice packs, so I decided to buy it to take home. When the doburoku arrived, I tried it right away. - Hanagumori, heated (380 yen including tax) ... A hazy doburoku with just the right amount of sweetness and acidity, very delicious. - Hanagumori, fresh sake (380 yen including tax) ... It still had a grainy texture from the rice, and was quite light, so they recommended scooping it with a spoon to drink. It seemed to have a pretty high alcohol content, so I only took a sip. I also bought a bottle of Uchu to take home and received a 200 yen discount for following their SNS. I would like to try the weekend-only all-you-can-drink craft beer deal for 3000 yen someday. Thank you for the meal.

The head brewer of the doburoku brewery used to be a famous figure in the political world, but the atmosphere is nice and the food is delicious. They have interesting types of alcohol. The space is quite spacious, so it's very relaxing. It feels like a secret hideout that you don't want to tell anyone about.✨✨

Takeout available! I was the first one there so I ate inside. - Tuna, tomato, and bean dish with alioli-style cheese sauce (¥1000 including tax) Freshly made tortilla! When you open it, it looks so beautiful that it almost seems a shame to eat it. Crunchy purple cabbage and lotus root. The carrots are sweet ♡ It's like risotto with rice, tomato sauce, and cheese. The crispy tortilla chips come with a refreshing salsa sauce. It's interesting to have pickled radish as a side dish! - Matcha pudding (¥480 including tax) A slightly bitter matcha-flavored pudding. It's moist and has a firm texture. The sponge cake is delicious too. The caramel flavor is infused. It's so delicious that you keep eating, but you don't want to finish eating it.

About a 7-minute walk from Asakusa Station. You can't enter from the main street, but there is an entrance on the back side of the building. The shop is long and narrow, with a large table seating area, counter seats in front of the kitchen, and sofa seats as well. The high ceiling gives it an open feel, with a cool concrete finish. I arrived around 11 am on a weekday and was the first customer. I sat at a sofa seat that was available. They have wifi. Matcha pudding for 480 yen (tax included), and Hojicha latte (deep roasted) for 560 yen (tax included). You get a 100 yen discount if you order a set. The matcha pudding was bigger than expected, which was nice. It had a subtle green color and a moist sponge cake underneath. When I took a bite, I thought, "Where's the matcha?" The matcha flavor was weak, but the smooth pudding was delicious. The caramel-soaked sponge cake was also tasty. The hojicha latte had a lovely aroma that spread gently. It was slightly sweet with a distinct hojicha flavor, and it was absolutely delicious. It would have been perfect if they had some latte art, but I was happy with the included candy. I also noticed a matcha tiramisu that looked interesting. I would like to try it next time I have the chance.

This is my first visit to a restaurant in Asakusa that specializes in Japanese sake. The shop opened at the end of last year and has a spacious interior with comfortable sofas and counter seats. The sofas provide a stable and cozy feeling that makes it hard to leave. The shop is unique as it is connected to a new sake brewery called "Kibana no Jyozojo." Although I am not very knowledgeable about sake, the staff kindly helped me choose from dozens of options. The food menu is also excellent and pairs well with the sake. I particularly enjoyed the grilled beef belly, grilled cod milt with miso, and marinated firefly squid. I have found a great restaurant and will definitely visit again. ^_^
