A while ago, I was a bit curious and decided to register. What caught my attention was the combination of "Showa retro" and "senbei soup." Even though they say it's Showa retro, the prices are from the Reiwa era, so the course content and prices didn't match in my mind. And... since there was a 20% PayPay back offer in Akasaka tonight due to the location in Minato-ku, I searched and found this restaurant. When I looked at the menu and courses, I couldn't find a course with senbei soup, but I thought, "Oh well, I'll just make a reservation for today at this restaurant through Hot Pepper." I debated whether to choose a course with all-you-can-drink, but I wasn't really attracted to the course content, so I decided to just reserve a table. Now, let's see how it goes. Showa retro, huh? Please don't just put up Enamel signs like ORO-C and call it Showa retro, I thought as I entered the restaurant. Now, what should I drink first? I'll have a Toribii. I ordered a few things, but the drinks came barely, and the food was taking a while to arrive. Is it because there's one staff member short and only the manager is working hard? Hmm, I see. The staff member wearing a Pyonkichi T-shirt is working hard, but the kitchen can't keep up. Well, when the dishes are ready, I'll leave. I really wanted to eat Showa-style Neapolitan, ham cutlet, pizza toast, and Sapporo Ichiban Shio Ramen though. Congratulations on the 13th anniversary of the opening. Well, I guess that's how it goes when you've been in business for a long time. Oh well, thank you. ~Soliloquy from here on~ Remember back in the day when we were kids, there were Chinese steamed buns, right? It was a choice between meat buns or red bean buns. But then, curry buns and pizza buns appeared. At that time... what is pizza!? There was definitely a time like that. It's hard to imagine now, but my first encounter with pizza was... Ragu Pizza Quick! (I still buy it at Seijo Ishii) You put Ragu pizza sauce on a slice of bread, add melting cheese, and toast it in a toaster. It was just excellent, fresh, and made me realize that there are such delicious things in the world, even as a elementary school student. So, in this restaurant, instead of ordering a regular pizza, there seems to be a special pizza by the owner, but even though the menu says "Pizza Toast" with the note "In the past, this was what pizza was," I couldn't even bring myself to order it, which was disappointing. If the staff can't keep up, maybe consider taking a break!
