I purchased a set meal with grilled mackerel for 1,080 yen, as well as natto for 50 yen, cold tofu for 50 yen, and negitoro for 90 yen from the ticket machine. The food was served 5 minutes later. The set meal included rice, miso soup with fried tofu and seaweed, a whole grilled mackerel, pickles, and grated radish. The mackerel was quite large and satisfying to eat. There were various side menu options available, and although adding them increased the price slightly, the natto, cold tofu, and negitoro that I ordered were all delicious. You could really taste the flavor of the fish itself. The rice portion options were "normal, large, half." Since there was no option for "small," I chose half, but I was satisfied as I ate. The interior of the store could use a bit more effort in cleaning to enhance its cleanliness. It's a shame for a new store! The payment process involved taking the number card with a QR code on it that was placed at your table, and settling the bill at the exit in a self-service manner. They also offer cheap side dishes like tofu or natto for 50 yen. I tried the Pacific saury set meal this time, and it was served very quickly. Unfortunately, the dried Pacific saury was a bit dry, probably because it was out of season. The bones were crispy and could be eaten entirely. The pickled cucumber was delicious. The rice portion was generous, around 300g in a bowl. They also offer both light and dark soy sauce, allowing you to adjust the flavor to your liking. Although Echigo-ya and Hakkin-ya may have better taste and volume due to their higher prices, the satisfaction level at this restaurant is high.
