I had seen a restaurant on TV before that had flamingos inside, and while exploring Asakusa, I stumbled upon it and decided to have lunch there. The Asakusa branch had a retro cafe interior with a fish tank at the entrance. It was quiet inside with only a few customers, probably because it was a weekday afternoon. I was initially interested in trying the crab pilaf, but got distracted by the sea urchin fair. I managed to resist the sea urchin pilaf and instead ordered a potage and the pilaf separately. The pilaf came in three sizes and you could choose between eating the crab meat as is or peeled (I chose peeled to save myself the trouble). The potage arrived along with the pilaf. The soup was quite hot, had a strong sea urchin flavor, but wasn't fishy or overpowering. The pilaf was topped with a generous amount of crab meat and finely chopped paprika. It seemed like a good place for a special occasion or a first dining experience for someone. I'm curious about the other items on the menu, so next time I have business in Asakusa, I might just make this place my lunch spot. They also offer takeout in a compact form, which could make for a nice souvenir.

I had no idea there was a MehiCo in Asakusa! I had been wanting to eat the crab pilaf that I had once tried in Moryama years ago. I was able to eat it again unexpectedly. We ordered the crab pilaf (large), crab cream croquettes (2 pieces), and seaweed salad for around 5000 yen. We asked for the crab to be peeled for the pilaf. The crab pilaf had a nice crab flavor. The crab cream croquettes were large and satisfying, although they seemed to have a bit less crab meat. The seaweed salad was also generous. I still want to eat MehiCo's crab pilaf again.

In any case, it was a cool and relaxing place. The crab pilaf was excellent. I went for the whole crab for that Instagram-worthy shot, and the crab meat inside was delicious. My companion ordered the sea urchin cream pasta, which was very generous in portion.

It was very delicious. However, the price per dish was a bit high, around 2000 yen. If you have time, I recommend trying the course menu for a little over 3000 yen, as you can enjoy a variety of delicious dishes. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is very calm and I liked the nostalgic vibe.

We used it with two people. Crab and seaweed soup, Crab pilaf size L with shells. These are a must. Fresh oysters 2 pieces, Crab gratin, Crab cream croquette. The crab and seaweed soup is simple and light, which I love. I could drink it all day. The crab pilaf is a must-have, we share the L size with shells, even though it's a bit of a hassle, the amount of crab is worth it. The oysters are big and creamy, I prefer a bit more lemon. I tried the crab gratin for the first time, it's like eating the filling of a big macaroni and crab cream croquette, it's delicious and seems popular. As expected from a crab restaurant, the crab cream croquette is tasty. The menu has become more diverse over the years, but the crab pilaf cannot be missed here.

I visited for my mother's 70th birthday celebration. I have also been to the Ariake location, but the casual interior here is easy to enter! I forgot to take a photo, but we also had gratin and cake! Personally, the snow crab garlic steak and crab cream croquette were exceptionally delicious! The staff, upon hearing that it was my mother's birthday, kindly brought out a cake as a service, showing great hospitality. I will definitely use this place again for future celebrations! Thank you very much!

Yesterday after yakiniku, we went to a Mexican restaurant for the second round. The freshness of the Taraba crab sashimi was on a different level, while the sea urchin pasta and crab pilaf were just okay. Eating Mexican food in Fukushima Prefecture is a whole different experience. - Shrimp and Fresh Tomato Pasta: It's a classic tomato sauce but with plenty of shrimp and tomatoes, very delicious. The hint of herbs is also nice. - Beef Tongue Stew: The meat is a bit tough, I prefer it more tender. The portion size is generous. Thank you for the meal.

I recommend the crab pilaf. It's definitely tastier if you peel the crab yourself. Last time, I recommended pre-peeled crab because it's less hassle, but the taste of the crab is slightly different. The crab with the shell on has just the right amount of seasoning. My mother is elderly and can't eat a lot, so we couldn't just share one dish, so we ordered a course for two. Besides gratin, you can choose from various options in the course. If you spend over 3000 yen, you can use a 500 yen coupon to eat more affordably. Today, despite being a weekday, it was crowded.

I just went to the Odaiba store, but I was craving crab pilaf so much that I went to the crowded Asakusa. Since it was Golden Week, making a reservation and visiting was the right choice! There were people waiting in front of the store, but I was able to enter smoothly. I thought I would have to wait for the food, but the service was quick and I appreciated it. The lobster thermidor, garlic shrimp, crab pilaf (large size), fresh juice - both the shrimp and crab were very satisfying.

Visited during Golden Week. The shop opened at 11:00 AM, but when I arrived a little later, there were already people waiting. I wrote my name and waited outside until around 12:00 when I was able to enter the shop. I used to frequent the Ariake branch often, and this one also maintains its consistent and delicious flavors. The pilaf is a must-try. I would love to visit again if I have the chance.

I visited Fukushima to try the local food "Crab Pilaf" and it was delicious. The crab croquettes were also tasty. I have been coming to Flamingo Hall in Iwaki for 35 years. I have also been going to the one in Mito for 10 years. The crab pilaf is best with the shell on. Although it's easier to eat without the shell, I prefer it with the shell. Since this place is close to my home, I want to come back again.

I felt like having some coffee during the night and decided to drop by. I saw the menu and the sweet shrimp bowl looked delicious, but unfortunately I couldn't order it because I was already full. Instead, I ordered the pudding a la mode. It was like a Pucchin Pudding, but it was pretty tasty. The staff was cheerful and nice! I would like to come back next time to enjoy a meal for dinner!

I visited with 4 friends. The staff seemed a little forgetful, but it's still a good restaurant. We kept opening bottles of red wine one after another, and we ended up running out of Chilean wine. (laughs)

I visited MehiCo near Hoppy Street in Asakusa and was satisfied with my visit. Despite the name suggesting Mexican cuisine, it is actually a seafood restaurant with crab as the main dish. I ordered the recommended Crab Pilaf (size M) and Tomato and Shrimp Pasta. The crab pilaf, while flavorful with a slightly strong saltiness, was not very filling even in the medium size. The crab meat was well seasoned, but some may find it to have a slightly seawater-like taste. The pasta had chunky tomatoes but lacked heat. The shrimp, like the crab, had a strong salty taste and was cooked rare. Overall, the quality of the food was good, but the cost performance was a bit lacking. I wish there was more volume to the dishes. The restaurant has a long history in Asakusa, but it feels more geared towards tourists.

At Asakusa, Grill Sakuragi did not open even though it was past the 5:00 PM opening time, so I decided to go to Royal Coffee Shop to figure out what to do for dinner. I then went to Mezico, which was nearby, and found that it was still open. The restaurant was spacious, with some people enjoying dinner and drinks. I ordered the traditional Crab Pilaf in size S for 1,738 yen. They also offer sizes M and L, and you can also get it for takeout. The dish was served in about 5 minutes. Even though it was size S, it was a good amount, similar to the portion size of a cafe's pilaf. It had plenty of flaked crab meat on top, and the pilaf had a nice salty flavor. The dish was well-presented and satisfying.

This is a restaurant located about a 5-minute walk from Asakusa Station. I made a reservation for lunch on a Saturday. It's an old-fashioned Western-style restaurant that is not well known, but it's a mysterious place. The interior is spacious with table seating. Many people spend their time leisurely, so I recommend making a reservation on weekends. The staff at the restaurant are friendly and leave a good impression. The menu offers various dishes using crab. While the main focus is Western cuisine, they also serve sashimi. With options including meat dishes, it can be difficult to choose. The specialty is the crab pilaf, so I ordered that! First, we toasted with sparkling wine and draft beer. We had crab sashimi and scallop carpaccio with sea urchin sauce. The scallop carpaccio was surprisingly generous in portion and very delicious. The crab sashimi had a unique texture. It seemed to have a bit less volume. We also ordered the crab pilaf and crab cream croquettes. Although the menu stated that the croquettes came in pairs, the staff informed us that they could make three, so we ordered three since there were three of us. The croquettes were crispy on the outside, hot and creamy on the inside – absolutely fantastic! We couldn't help but smile. The tomato sauce that came with them was also excellent. For the crab pilaf, you can choose between one with shells and one without. The one without shells is easier to eat, so I recommend that one. The rice was flavorful, and there was plenty of crab, making it a great value for money. It's popular for takeout as well, and I can see why. The oyster ajillo had surprisingly large oysters and was perfectly seasoned. The crab cream cheese had a generous amount of crab and was delicious. I had only tried the crab pilaf before, so I was delighted to find that the other dishes were also tasty. This restaurant has become one of the places I want to visit again.

We casually dropped by for lunch. The recommended dish seems to be the crab pilaf. My husband ordered the crab pilaf set, while I went for the crab gratin. The gratin had just the right amount of heat. The creamy white sauce was rich and delicious, with plenty of crab on top. However, it might not be enough for men. The pilaf had a strong flavor, while the gratin was more gentle, so having a set with both would be great! (We shared and found that pouring the gratin over the pilaf was delicious!) The pilaf set also comes with a drink and soup. We used a coupon on Tabelog for a discounted lunch. Thank you for the meal.

The dish included shrimp, squid, mussels, green beans, bell peppers, onions, and lemon. The shrimp were grilled with the shells on, giving them a fragrant taste. They were also quite large and easy to eat with a slit in the back. The paella with its rich broth was very tasty. It came with a side of soup. The restaurant chain was established in 1969, with its main company opening the first Mexico Flamingo House in Iwaki City, Fukushima Prefecture. The restaurant became popular for having live flamingos on display. Unfortunately, the Asakusa branch does not have flamingos, but they have flamingo decorations outside. Their recommended dish is crab pilaf.

When you suddenly feel like eating seafood other than Japanese cuisine, the oysters with a moderate acidity cocktail sauce are large and fresh. The aioli is also incredibly delicious. There are many delicious restaurants in Asakusa, but this is one of the places I want to go back to eat again.
