A classic modern coffee shop with a Taisho-era romantic blend of Japanese and Western styles, located in a side street near Hibiya Midtown. The calm interior and the polite service with maid-like uniforms were welcoming. I discovered a branch of the popular authentic siphon coffee shop "Tsubakiya Coffee Hibiya Banare" for the first time! I ordered the recommended cake set from the waitress in maid-like uniform. I felt like having something sweet, so I chose the Belgian chocolate cake set. The coffee was poured into the Royal Copenhagen siphon. The coffee had a perfect balance of bitterness, great aroma, and amazing taste. The cake had a subtle cocoa scent, rich and smooth flavor, not too sweet but slightly bitter and incredibly delicious. It was a relaxing and soothing moment in a Taisho-era romantic atmosphere.
