This is my first visit. It's a rare authentic coffee shop these days. The coffee is brewed using a siphon, allowing you to enjoy the aroma. The atmosphere inside the shop is not retro, but it has a nostalgic feel that reminds you of the Showa era, creating a calm space. Nowadays, there are only chain cafes for drinking coffee, so it was refreshing to visit here.

On a hot day, I saw a shaved ice sign in Shinjuku and decided to have tea at Tsubakiya Coffee. They offered strawberry and matcha shaved ice, so I chose strawberry. It had real strawberry chunks and came with condensed milk, which made it very delicious. The restaurant was crowded, so it took a while for the food to arrive, but enjoying a cafe in a cool place on a hot day was great! I definitely want to visit again.

I ordered a strawberry chiffon cake and tea in a cake set. The taste is delicious, but the price is a bit high, especially since the drink alone costs over 1000 yen. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere of the shop is nice. It would be appreciated if they could adjust the air conditioning a bit as the interior is a bit cold.

Here you can escape from the hustle and bustle of Kabukicho. The Belgian chocolate cake was incredibly rich and delicious, and the calm atmosphere of the staff was wonderful. There was a maid for some reason, but she didn't seem out of place and just came as part of the uniform for the shop.

I visited this restaurant for sightseeing in Tokyo, where I could have breakfast and lunch at the same time. When I entered, I was told that all seats were non-smoking, but there was a unique smoking area that was quite helpful. They have a system where you can smoke facing the wall, making you feel like Godzilla (lol). The coffee was made with a siphon and it was delicious. It had a feeling of being a famous restaurant. I also had a hot sandwich, which was very delicious, including the salad. Thank you for the meal.

After drinking, I always crave a cake set, so I decided to visit this place after sushi. The retro-modern atmosphere of the restaurant and the waitresses were very charming. Their headsets even looked like cosplay accessories, so cute! I opted for a light chiffon cake, choosing the seasonal limited edition strawberry chiffon and a blend. The strawberry chiffon had a fresh, natural scent and was deliciously moist. Even at night, the chiffon was light and fluffy, and I devoured it in no time. The blend was brewed using a siphon and then poured into a cup at the table. Siphon-brewed coffee is truly delicious. And the cup was Royal Copenhagen, which was a delightful surprise. I had a wonderful time. Thank you for the delicious meal.

A cafe located about an 8-minute walk from Shinjuku East Exit, at a downhill slope leading to Yasukuni Street. It has a calm atmosphere with a dark brown interior, perfect for a relaxing time. While the prices are not cheap, the clientele is mature and pleasant. I ordered the new Ichigo Zucotto and an iced coffee. The set cost around 2000 yen. The Zucotto was delicious, with fresh strawberries covering the cake, balanced with a moderate sweetness of cream and strawberries. It's a recommended cafe for a little break. If you come across it, give it a try!

A calm cafe in Shinjuku. The coffee is a bit pricey at 1,100 yen, but the place is not crowded so you can easily find a seat. They brew each cup of blended coffee using a siphon, which has a great aroma and a balanced bitterness. It was a nice environment to chat with people.

The restaurant is located in the heart of Shinjuku, in a very convenient location. The atmosphere is very welcoming, and there are often lines. This time, it was surprisingly empty, perhaps because it was lunchtime. The ambiance of the restaurant is very nice, with a nostalgic coffee shop feel. The staff in uniforms are very friendly. I ordered a set with cake, coffee, and juice. The fresh juice was rich and full of fruit flavor. The cake I chose was made with Japanese brown sugar, with a unique sweetness that was not overpowering. The coffee had a nice aroma and a perfect balance of bitterness. It was a great place to enjoy a relaxing time, which you wouldn't expect in Shinjuku. I would definitely like to visit again.

When I want to have tea in Shinjuku, I often use Tsubakiya Coffee Higashi Hanare Store. The atmosphere of this old-fashioned antique-style coffee shop is calm and allows me to drink coffee slowly. I prefer this type of coffee shop over cafe types. I have only tried cakes there, so I am curious to try their meals next time.

When taking a break while wandering around Shinjuku, I always end up here. I have been a customer for quite some time now. Honestly, it's not cheap, but the atmosphere and comfort surpass others. Of course, the taste is also outstanding. The coffee brewed with a siphon is on a different level compared to what you drink at home. The ambiance of the shop also adds to the experience. It's usually relatively quiet, which is perfect for someone like me who isn't a fan of crowded places. The interior of the shop contrasts with the hustle and bustle of the city, making it very comfortable. Once you go, you'll find yourself returning despite the somewhat high prices.

I went with a friend! The pricing is a bit high, but the food is delicious. I ordered the Camellia Coffee Blend Tea, which turned out to be a fruity Darjeeling tea. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is calm and elegant, allowing us to spend a relaxing time.

I met my friend at this restaurant and it had a nice atmosphere with many businessmen. The staff were all very beautiful and there were some cool looking waiters too. Before I knew it, I had become a regular and decided to post this review. Give it a try for a quick break or a meeting spot! Thank you for the meal once again :)

I used it for a date as usual! My favorite is the sandwich! It's very simple but the way they use mustard is so good that I never get tired of eating it! It tends to be quite crowded on weekends, so I recommend going on a weekday or in the morning on weekends!

I often visit Tsubakiya Coffee.
Received items:
- Special Iced Cafe au Lait
Coffee turned into ice, then hot milk poured over to complete the cafe au lait. The taste remains strong even after some time, which is amazing! It has a deep coffee flavor and tastes delicious.
- Shine Muscat Cheesecake
Looks amazing! Large sweet Shine Muscat grapes are generously placed on top. The sponge and cheese have a rich taste and are delicious. The Shine Muscat grapes are juicy and sweet, not overpowered by the sweetness of the cream and cheese. It's a bit pricey, but definitely delicious!
Shop information:
- Location: About a 5-minute walk from Shinjuku
- Price: Around 2000 yen per person
- Interior: Smoking booth available in the basement.

The rain was so heavy that I had to take temporary shelter. I had some time to spare, so I decided to relax in this underground spot with good cell reception. They recommended various coffees for their 25th anniversary, but the explanations were confusing, so I stuck with my usual rich blend. It has just the right amount of acidity, which I like. The staff all speak in high-pitched voices and occasionally use strange Japanese, which can be annoying, but maybe it's appealing to men. You can meet maids here without having to go all the way to Akihabara. But I wonder, is there really a need for them to wear these uniforms? Just the ramblings of a middle-aged woman who doesn't look good in them. Don't mind me. The coffee was delicious as always. Why do so many people keep asking if I want sugar and milk? They should coordinate better after I've answered once. I'm here to relax, not to chat. I think I might have some sort of grudge against cute girls today. My heart is bitter. Sorry. Maybe I should try speaking from my forehead too. Isn't that a trend?

Visiting Tokyo coffee shops! Exploring Shinjuku Ward, Shinjuku Station East Exit Edition. First visit to the popular authentic siphon coffee shop "Tsubakiya Coffee Higashibanare"! On a sunny day with summer heat, feeling sweaty, it's a perfect time for a leisurely movie break in Shinjuku Sanchome for lunch! Still early for the movie screening, so I searched for a nice coffee shop and came across a shop with a distinctive signboard that I've seen around. A classic modern coffee shop with a Taisho-era romantic blend of Japanese and Western styles, located in a side street near Hibiya Midtown. The calm interior and the polite service with maid-like uniforms were welcoming. I discovered a branch of the popular authentic siphon coffee shop "Tsubakiya Coffee Hibiya Banare" for the first time! I ordered the recommended cake set from the waitress in maid-like uniform. I felt like having something sweet, so I chose the Belgian chocolate cake set. The coffee was poured into the Royal Copenhagen siphon. The coffee had a perfect balance of bitterness, great aroma, and amazing taste. The cake had a subtle cocoa scent, rich and smooth flavor, not too sweet but slightly bitter and incredibly delicious. It was a relaxing and soothing moment in a Taisho-era romantic atmosphere. While Starbucks is nice, I appreciate the unique authentic siphon coffee here! It's like an oasis in the city, with a calming space and delicious quality products!

Thank you for the delicious iced coffee♪ This shop is located a few minutes' walk from the east exit of Shinjuku Station. I visited around 1:30 pm on a holiday to pass the time before my next appointment. I ordered an iced coffee and took a moment to relax and read a book.

Located about a 2-3 minute walk from JR Shinjuku Station East Exit. There is no parking nearby, so it is recommended to come by foot or public transportation. The interior of the restaurant has a chic and calm atmosphere. The photo shows a selection of ice cream. There are fruits included, so it is great for refreshing your palate after the ice cream. The restaurant also offers Wi-Fi, making it convenient for those who want to use the internet.

On the final day of the New Year's first three days, I visited the restaurant on the 3rd at 8 PM. The interior was relatively empty. I ordered a cake set. ★Golden Strawberry Shortcake★Belgian Chocolate Cake. Both of us had hot coffee. The cakes were delicious with a moderate sweetness. The service, as well as the taste of the cakes and coffee, were excellent. However, the price of the cake set was a bit high at 1800 yen and 1600 yen.
