Sunshine 60, 59th floor, "Ginza Fukusuke". I have often visited "Ginza Fukusuke" in the restaurant area of Ikebukuro Tobu. I think it's the first time I came alone. I visited when I attended a meeting at Sunshine. "Nigiri Set Misaki" (4,950 yen) + "Iced Oolong Tea" (440 yen) - as shown in the photo. At Ginza Fukusuke, I often choose the "Nigiri Set Misaki". It consists of the usual 10 pieces of nigiri, with an additional piece that you can choose. The nigiri at Ginza Fukusuke is overall polite and refined. There is no strong or rough taste, and it is far from a lively atmosphere. Therefore, the quality of the fish seems to be maintained by freezing or refrigerating techniques. Whether you like this style or not is a matter of preference. In my case, I visit Ginza Fukusuke knowing that this is the type of sushi they serve, so I have no discomfort. The fish is of high quality and the nigiri is well-prepared. I started with a chawanmushi. The accent of the roasted seaweed is deep and interesting. The crab soup was warm and comforting, with plenty of meat to enjoy. Thank you for the meal. The restaurant has windows facing the south side of Sunshine 60, offering views of Tokyo Tower, the high-rise buildings of Shinjuku, and Nakano Sun Plaza. You can even see my local Toshima Ward Office below. There were many clouds during my visit, so the view was not as clear as I had hoped. I feel that it's better to ask if a window-side table is available before trying to act cool and choose a counter seat at this restaurant. I visited at night once, and the night view was also beautiful. *I found a draft with notes from my visit in June 2014, but I updated and deleted it this time. I ordered the daily lunch set and a few pieces of nigiri sushi (I think it was Oki?). The sushi with toppings was delicious. There were many sushi chefs in the restaurant, creating a lively but not too noisy atmosphere where you can enjoy yourself comfortably. Personally, I feel that sushi goes well with the blue sky during the day rather than the night view, so I recommend having lunch here. Thank you for the meal.

I visited around 13:30 on Saturday. I ordered 5 soft drinks, 2 assorted nigiri sushi, 2 grilled clams, and 2 botan shrimp miso soups, totaling around 24,900 yen for 2 people. The interior of the restaurant is neat, with a white theme and no unnecessary items. The large windows offer a panoramic view from the 59th floor. The table seating is spacious and relaxing. We sat at the counter and the sushi chef was calm yet confident. He shared a lot of knowledge about the fish, making the dining experience enjoyable and educational. The temperature, searing, and garnishes of the sushi were exquisite. Each piece had a distinct flavor profile, with changing tastes as you chew. The Fuji no Kai, a cross between salmon and trout, was particularly delicious. The saltwater sea urchin was a revelation, with no fishy smell or sliminess. It was creamy, fresh, and disappeared quickly on the palate. I used to dislike sea urchin, but this experience changed my perspective. The saltwater sea urchin is preserved in a pseudo-sea water solution, maintaining its freshness. As I age, I appreciate high-quality sushi more, and this traditional sushi experience was a delight. Thank you for the feast! I will definitely return!

During a break from work, I stopped by a sushi restaurant with my colleagues for lunch. It is located on the 59th floor of Sunshine City, directly connected to Higashi-Ikebukuro Station, and is a branch of "Ginza Fukusuke" established in 1960 by a fresh fish wholesaler. I had made a reservation for a course meal a week before for our department's welcome and farewell party. As it was during the spring break period, Sunshine City was already crowded with visitors. The private elevator to the high floors was packed, but after waiting for a few turns, we finally managed to get on and reach the 59th floor where the restaurant is located. Although there were no windows in the private room, the atmosphere was calm and we enjoyed an 8-course lunch with dessert to bid farewell to our department head. The meal included appetizers, a sashimi platter, grilled mackerel, steamed white fish, simmered vegetables, nigiri sushi, miso soup, and dessert - all beautifully presented and showcasing the freshness and balance of the fish. The sushi portion was adjustable, but even after reducing it, the meal was quite filling. The afternoon was almost unproductive due to the satisfying lunch. While it wasn't a mind-blowing experience, it was a highly satisfying meal. It was great to see our department head enjoying it too. Thank you for the meal.

I ordered a 7700 yen lunch course and Perrier at a spot with a great view on the 59th floor of Shanshine. The mozuku vinegar, nuta, assorted sashimi, and thick scallops were delicious. The chawanmushi, grilled fish, kaiware sushi were also good. However, the first half of the meal was too filling and I couldn't finish everything, which was a shame. The sakuramochi ice cream was perfect for the season. They also removed the transparent panel so I could enjoy a leisurely conversation with a friend I hadn't seen in a while. I asked for the Edogawa nigiri to be made smaller, which made it easier to eat.

Omakase course with red clam, and added nodoguro this time. Last time the sushi rice was cold and hard, but this time it was slightly warm and soft enough to crumble a bit when picked up with chopsticks. It's amazing how the quality has improved in such a short time. It was delicious... The sashimi platter was also impressive in both size and taste! Thank you for the meal ^_^

Located in the Sunshine City in Ikebukuro, I decided to dine at Fukusuke next door since the Chinese restaurant was crowded. I was seated by the window, offering a fantastic view. The lunch set comes with sushi, chawanmushi, and miso soup, which was quite satisfying considering the price. It's a great option for a quick lunch during work. I would definitely visit again if I have the chance.

The omakase course was delicious, especially the assorted sashimi which was thick and satisfying. The abalone liver sauce was rich and tasty. However, the sushi itself had cold and hard rice. The restaurant was spacious and lively with many families dining. The sushi was better than conveyor belt sushi and more casual and affordable than high-end sushi restaurants. Despite the heavy rain that day, the high-rise location offers a potentially great view on sunny days. Thank you for the meal!

First visit. On the 59th floor of Sunshine 60, there are both counter and table seats where you can enjoy the view. The lunch menu comes with chawanmushi and miso soup. The chef's choice included 11 pieces of sushi and rolls, while the chef's special had 7 pieces of sushi and rolls. The variety and taste were satisfying, and we left with full stomachs. The atmosphere was also pleasant. The total bill was 5,775 yen including tax for 2 people. Thank you for the meal.

When you come to this restaurant, I highly recommend sitting at the counter. The view from the high floor window is nice, but when you come to a sushi restaurant, it's fun to chat with the chef at the counter. There are various types of sake, served cold, and while the lunch course is good, it's up to your preference for enjoying sake. The octopus simmered until tender, sashimi, water eggplant, and horse mackerel sashimi were all delicious. The turban shell had a wonderful aroma, and I ended up ordering more. Finally, I enjoyed some sparkling sake with sushi. It was a long time since I had such an enjoyable time with interesting sushi knowledge and discussions. It was wonderfully delicious. There aren't many sushi restaurants with a great view of the night scenery, but this place is perfect for my favorite combination of sushi and night views. We visited for the second time, this time for dinner. The prices are on the higher side, but the fish is fresh and delicious. The salmon was rich and creamy, the raw shrimp was fresh and delicate, and the fatty tuna was a favorite. My husband loved the large steamed shrimp. We usually only go to cheaper conveyor belt sushi places, so this was a luxurious treat for our anniversary. The highlights were the eel and salmon roe. The eel was substantial and moist, not thin and flat like others. The salmon roe had distinct, flavorful pearls that were a delight to eat. I wanted to try sea urchin, but it wasn't on the menu this time. Instead, I splurged on the fatty tuna sashimi, which was unbelievably delicious. The sake selection isn't extensive, but they have good options that pair well with sushi. We had a variety of dishes and drinks, and the total bill was around 15,000 yen, which was reasonable considering the quality. Cheers to a great meal!

I came to Ikebukuro after a long time and had lunch at the Sky Restaurant. I arrived just before the end of lunch hours, so it was very quiet. I chose the Irodori lunch set (2,640 yen) that day. The hot chawanmushi was served in a cute floral bowl, and the rich egg and an sauce topping were delicious. The salad had crunchy vegetables with crab and flying fish roe, and had a refined and gentle taste. The sushi included ikura and maguro, among others, and was freshly made by the chef at the counter. The rice was soft and fluffy, and the fish was fresh and flavorful. The red miso soup with shijimi clam broth paired perfectly with the sushi. The matcha ice cream dessert was rich and delicious, and was a perfect ending to the meal. The view was amazing, the food was delicious, and I had a very satisfying lunch experience.

After the meeting, I was taken to the meeting place and this shop was my first visit. The location is excellent and the atmosphere is fantastic! With this location and atmosphere, the price is great. It's a good value for money, even for young couples looking for a nice date spot. We started with a beer and three types of sashimi: "Horse mackerel, ark shell, and goby." - The horse mackerel was fresh and not fishy, but a bit lacking in flavor. - The ark shell was well cleaned and even people who don't like the unique flavor of shellfish would enjoy it. The crunchy part near the shellfish's pillar was my favorite. - The goby had a sticky texture typical of white fish in winter, which enhances the flavor. It was fresh and didn't have a fishy taste, probably due to the algae salt seasoning. It paired perfectly with the provided salt! We then shared "Ichinokura" and "Jokigen" sake while enjoying some sushi. The mackerel was amazing! It was freshly caught that day, and I love it when it's this fresh. I want to come back with a girl next time (laughs). Thank you for the meal!

I made a last-minute reservation and visited Sushi Restaurant Ginza Fukusuke at Sunshine City 60. We sat at the spacious counter and ordered everything a la carte. The sushi is made right in front of you. They also serve salmon! The medium fatty tuna and lean tuna were delicious with a good amount of fat, but unfortunately, the white fish was a bit tough. The rice was average. Considering the price, I wish the quality of the rice was a bit better. The service was excellent.

I visited the restaurant with my family after shopping, and it was nice to see that there were only about 3 groups of people there, including us, due to the state of emergency. We sat at the counter and the chef remembered us, which was a pleasant surprise. We enjoyed a lot of delicious sushi, but we were so hungry that we forgot to take a picture. It's great to have the chef make sushi with seasonal ingredients while discussing with us. Thank you for the meal.

I had lunch at Sunshine Ikebukuro and initially planned to dine at a certain restaurant on the 59th floor. However, since it was crowded, I decided to try the sushi restaurant next to it. The sushi looked delicious and reasonably priced. I ordered the Special Assorted Sushi for 2,310 yen and a glass of beer for 605 yen. The sushi was like a treasure box with over 10 types of toppings like tuna, salmon, ikura, and crab. The rice was also substantial and satisfying. From my table, I could enjoy a great view of Shinjuku. The staff were attentive and overall, I had a delicious and enjoyable lunch. Thank you very much.

Located on top of Sunshine 60 is a sushi restaurant. It may seem strange to have a sushi restaurant in this location, but regardless, one good thing about this place is that even during lunchtime on weekends, it is not as crowded as the surrounding restaurants. I don't usually go to the upper floors of Sunshine even though I live nearby. I just don't have a reason to. When I went with my niece, the restaurants on the lower floors of Sunshine were crowded, so we decided to check out the upper floors, which led us to this restaurant. Due to its location, the prices are not particularly cheap (around 2000 yen for a set of 10 pieces of nigiri sushi). However, during lunchtime, it's not too expensive. My niece and I had some nigiri sushi. I wasn't expecting much, but considering the price, the taste was actually quite good. The view from the window table was also very nice, and the fact that the restaurant was not too crowded made for a comfortable dining experience. I was initially skeptical about going all the way up to the top of Sunshine just for a sushi restaurant, but it turned out to be a pretty nice place. If young couples are on a date at Sunshine, I would recommend splurging a little during lunchtime at this place.

On this day, I searched for a sushi restaurant nearby using Tabelog due to checking in at Sunshine Prince. The condition was that it should be within walking distance from Sunshine Prince and not crowded. I knew that there are not many good sushi restaurants for lunch in Ikebukuro. So, I made a reservation at "Sushidokoro Ginza Fukusuke" on the 59th floor of Sunshine 60. This place seems to be affiliated with "Horigawa" in Century Southern Tower in Shinjuku. The view here is also nice. I ordered the seasonal lunch course "Natsukidate" which included: - Appetizer: Boiled greens and agar jelly - Sashimi: Tuna, cutlassfish, kanpachi - Grilled dish: Grilled sea bream with salt, tomato, cucumber, and Kinzanji miso - Cold dish: Cold tofu with flavorful dashi - Simmered dish: Tender simmered octopus - Sushi: 8 pieces of nigiri sushi including green onion and tuna, sea bream, salmon, bonito, young corn, horse mackerel, salmon roe, and scallop - Soup: Clear soup with conger eel - Dessert: Added tuna, salmon roe, California roll, and clam shell for an additional cost. Well, the taste was average for the price, like a sushi restaurant in town for lunch. The total cost for two people, including drinks, was 17,600 yen. I don't think I will visit again.

I went for lunch. It was almost full. I had a little drink while eating. I was full. The staff at the restaurant were friendly and casually recommended dishes. It felt like a family-friendly place. It was easy to enter and a comfortable place to be.

I went to the chain restaurant "Fukusuke" located on the 59th floor of Sunshine City. Among the Fukusuke restaurants, this one has the best view. The prices are quite reasonable. The sushi is similar to other Fukusuke locations, and I think it's decent for the price.
