Yesterday's dinner was salt-grilled mackerel and grilled yam with delicious salt seasoning. Today, I had fried horse mackerel and hand-cut soba noodles. I made the tartar sauce from scratch using mayonnaise. I also eat Seibi oranges every day, and for dessert, I had sweetened beans from a Japanese confectionery store. I tend to overeat a little at small restaurants every day. The tartar sauce was made from scratch using mayonnaise and breadcrumbs. I tasted it a lot, so it decreased quite a bit...hehe. I bought cut-off slices of prosciutto for 298 yen, pickles for 205 yen, and olives for 213 yen. I like that the prosciutto from Kaldi Coffee Farm comes in a pack with plenty of slices. The pickles are for the tartar sauce for today's fried horse mackerel. I used to buy pickles in jars, but this was my first time buying them in a pouch. It's easier to open and dispose of than a jar. I enjoy eating olives as they are. Kaldi Coffee Farm Asagaya Minami Store 03-3317-9150 1-34-11 Asagaya Minami, Suginami-ku, Tokyo.

At Kaldi, they sell various imported food products, and one that caught my eye was "Corned Beef Hash," a soul food from Okinawa. When you think of Okinawa, you think of this product. It has a nice salty flavor. It seems to be slightly less dry than regular corned beef. The texture is nice. I tried it with eggs, and it was delicious. The saltiness isn't too strong, so when mixed with eggs, the flavor is slightly diluted, but either way, it makes a great snack.

I have tried spicy ramen like Jin Chanpon and Buldak Ppokkummyeon before, but "Noguri Ramen" is new to me! Noguri means raccoon dog. I was told that it is sold at Kaldi, so I went to try it. In my opinion, it was just very spicy and not very delicious. Here is the information I wrote down: Kaldi Coffee Farm Asagaya Minami Store 03-3317-9150 Tokyo, Suginami-ku, Asagaya Minami 1-34-11.

An arcade extending south from Asagaya Station. Walking through the Pearl Center. Just past the middle on the right, you'll find a Caldi. It's mid-afternoon and there aren't many customers. Maybe I should buy some snacks to go with wine. I get a sample of their Mild Caldi Blend coffee at the entrance. It's sweet. I wander around the store with my coffee. I end up buying the Original Cheese Set Mini for 410 yen. It has two pieces each of three types of cheese: Camembert, Red Cheddar, and Smoked Cheese from France, England, and the Netherlands. I enjoy them with a special red wine. They're all in bite-sized portions, so they're fresh. I tend to get tired of things easily, so having three different types of cheese is convenient. Thanks for the meal. It's nice that the used sample cups can be discreetly thrown away in the trash bin at the back of the store in Caldi.

When you exit Asagaya Station South Exit and turn left, you will see a shopping street called Pearl Center straight ahead on your right. There are many products displayed outside, and they offer free coffee tasting, making it easy to find. I visited in the early evening on a weekday. There are various chain stores here, all offering coffee tasting. Inside the stores, you can find coffee beans, sweets, and ingredients from around the world, so it's never boring. The items I purchased this time were "Taco Chips (Plain) ¥228," "Salsa Sauce (Hot) ¥388," "Fried Shrimp Chips ¥313," "4-Link Millet Biscuits ¥237," and "Rum Raisin Chocolate ¥149." I love the original product here, the plain flavor of Taco Chips, and often buy them. They taste great dipped in the hot salsa sauce, filling and perfect as a snack with alcohol. The hot sauce contains chunky vegetables like tomatoes and can also be used in cooking. The Fried Shrimp Chips are from Thailand, crispy and garlic-flavored. The Millet Biscuits are a famous product from Kochi Prefecture, and I've been hooked since I bought them during a previous visit to Kochi. They are simple and light biscuits. I also like the prosciutto here, which is reasonably priced, but I didn't buy it this time. There are so many different products here, so it's enjoyable to take your time and look around. Thank you for the meal.

I stop by this convenient store almost every day on my way home from work. One of the reasons is the coffee service they offer at the storefront. It's a common thing at Kaldis, but you can get coffee here. On hot days, I enjoy iced coffee to quench my thirst while wandering around the store. On cold days, I warm my hands with a hot coffee while exploring the store. My favorites are almond tofu and various cheeses. They also have a variety of Korean ingredients that I end up buying. I'm happy that they have a selection of decaf teas as well. Before hosting a home party, I always shop at Kaldis. Recently, I bought Chorogi salad, which was well-received. Before that, I used a tart pan for quiche. It was delicious too. Mixing canned salmon and cream cheese (sometimes they have tastings) and using it as a dip for broccoli and other vegetables was also well-received. I also love their annual sale. The only downside is the narrow aisles. If someone with a stroller is there, it's basically a dead end. It would be great if the aisles were a bit wider.

◼️ The Butterfly Pea Syrup, which has been selling out nationwide at Kaldis, is finally available for purchase (tax included 398 yen). ◼️ This syrup, featuring a beautiful 'Sapphire Blue' color created by the natural pigment of the butterfly pea plant and a citrus-like aroma, is popular on Instagram and other platforms again this year. ◼️ The Butterfly Pea Syrup has been restocked at Kaldi Asagaya Minami store on July 5th (Wednesday). ◼️ Due to the 'beautiful color and pleasant aroma,' many customers are repeat buyers or purchase in bulk, so if you are interested, hurry to get yours. ◼️ As of July 5th (Wednesday), there was a large quantity available at the Odakyu HALC store on the west side of Shinjuku Station, but it is recommended to get it as soon as possible due to the high number of customers. ◼️ Images 2 and 6: Just a quick "serve in a glass" www ◼️ Syrup 1: Mix with carbonated water in a 5:1 ratio, add 2 ice cubes and lightly stir twice with a spoon - and it's ready! ◼️ Since the aroma is slightly citrusy, adding a lemon wedge will make a more refreshing soda or cocktail (^_^)ノ☆
