Akiba, near Showa Street, is known for its famous Kushikatsu Tanaka, where double dipping is prohibited. I tried it at the Osaka station branch, but the sauce was crunchy and tasted like Worcestershire sauce, so after dipping it once, I decided not to dip it again. As a light drinker, I ordered three skewers of garlic, eggplant, and shiitake mushrooms, along with a gentle shochu on the rocks for 550 yen (tax included), which doesn't seem too cheap. The skewers are reasonably priced, but the 300 yen charge for a cabbage appetizer is a bit much. The skewers are fried quite nicely and are not bad. The shiitake mushrooms have a firm stem, which I like. Ordering a lot of skewers can add up in cost. Thank you for the meal.

First, I went to Kushikatsu Tanaka. They have a wide variety of kushikatsu to choose from. Personally, I really enjoyed the cheese kushikatsu. The meat skewers were also delicious. We rolled the dice 12 times and got a double 2. The probability of getting a double is 1 in 6, so it was exactly as expected.

The garlic here is really delicious. This store is always crowded with too many people, sometimes it's hard to get in. The kushikatsu is tasty, especially with the sauce and cabbage. The game "Chinchirorin" is tough when you don't hit, it becomes a "mega" and it's hard. I wish it was free sometimes. Well, it can't be helped. I'm a little happy that all the chains have become non-smoking. Appreciated.

Had a late dinner with a friend at a yakiniku restaurant in Suehirocho. We came to Akihabara looking for the next place to eat, but after midnight, we found that there were surprisingly few open restaurants, and the ones that were open were packed. So, we decided to visit Tanaka as a last resort. I'm not a big fan of kushikatsu in general, so I don't come here often, but I do like Tanaka. The kushikatsu is crispy and not heavy. The Chincharo game you get when you order a lemon sour is a good deal and fun.

It seems like a new restaurant has opened. Located on the 3rd floor of a building near Don Quijote along Showa Street, we were able to walk in at 6:30pm and find empty seats. This was our first time trying Kushi Katsu Tanaka. We had heard about the cabbage appetizer, which was as expected. The favorite stingray fin was delicious and tender! Highly recommended. The potato salad and the Kushi Katsu were also great. If you're unsure, go for the 5-piece assortment. The freshly fried Kushi Katsu was delicious. They have a unique drink offer, the Chinchirorin Highball! You roll two dice and the total determines if your drink is free, half off, double portion but double the price, so you never lose. We were lucky to get two drinks at half price. The macaroni salad, grilled udon, and Tanaka's rice balls also look delicious. Can't wait to try them next time! ^_^

It's great to be able to eat freshly fried skewers. Hot food is always delicious. The beer at this affordable place has no strange taste, making me wonder if they properly maintain their beer dispenser. The beer is also nicely chilled. The restaurant is lively, the staff is polite, and the service is quick. Even though it's a chain restaurant, it doesn't feel like a typical chain restaurant.

After shopping in Akihabara, my husband and I suddenly felt like eating kushikatsu, so we decided to stop by a restaurant. As soon as we entered, we were promptly seated at a table. The staff were all very lively and provided excellent service, which made us feel very welcomed. That day, we tried kushikatsu with beef, pork, pickled ginger, quail, yam, onion, shrimp, cheese, asparagus, and more. Everything was freshly fried and piping hot! The crispy coating was light, while the juicy meat inside was absolutely delicious. We also got to enjoy the standard pickled ginger kushikatsu that is popular in Kansai. The combination of the sauce's acidity and the ginger's tanginess was addictive. The vegetables like yam and onion were fried to perfection, making it hard to stop eating. It's great to be able to enjoy delicious and affordable kushikatsu in Akihabara. They even have a unique dessert kushikatsu menu, so I'm looking forward to trying the cookie & cream kushikatsu next time.
