I went to watch the Yakult Swallows vs. Hanshin Tigers game. Before the game, I had a drink alone at HUB Gaienmae. After it opened, I left HUB and headed to the stadium. I cheered from the left outfield seats. At first, I bought beer from the vendor. It was my first time in 5 years cheering from the outfield seats. I was surprised by the variety of food and drinks available at the stadium! I couldn't believe they even had HUB! You can enjoy HUB both inside and outside the stadium. I ordered a sour drink and enjoyed it at my seat. It was refreshing and delicious!

I ordered Santana curry at the HUB in Jingu Stadium. However, when I returned to my seat and opened the lid, I found fish fry and fried potatoes instead. It was crowded, so I ended up eating it as it was. I felt like I lost a bit of money because of this. I would like to ask the staff to double check and improve their service! The taste would go well with beer. However, I did not order beer. I would definitely like to try Santana curry next time.

(Visited in October 2020) On a certain day in the first half of October, I went to Tokyo when the city was included in the national economic policy. After moving from Ueno to my accommodation in Kanda and checking in, I headed to the main event of the day - Jingu Stadium. This season, I hadn't watched any official games, so I was excited to visit the stadium where university baseball was being held. The gates opened at 5:00 PM, and I took the opportunity to admire the new National Stadium before joining the entrance line. Since September 19, the number of spectators allowed had been relaxed to half of the stadium's capacity. Before entering, there was proper spacing in line, thermographic temperature checks, and hand sanitizing. During the game, food and drinks were available, and the vendors were actively selling. I had a beer but felt a bit hungry, so I decided to visit "HUB Jingu Stadium Store." Located at 3-1 Kasumigaoka-cho, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo, on the 1st floor concourse near Gate 16, the pub had an Irish atmosphere, as expected. I bought a HUB Grapefruit for 500 yen and some Fish & Chips for 700 yen during the break between innings. The service was quick, and I could enjoy my drinks and food back at my seat. The grapefruit drink was refreshing with alcohol, and the Fish & Chips, although visibly frozen and reheated, tasted decent, maybe due to the outdoor stadium effect. The game started at 6:30 PM, and by around 9:30 PM, the outcome was clear, so I left the stadium. If I stayed until the end, the exit process would have been time-consuming. I returned to my accommodation in Kanda. Thank you for the meal!

Watching baseball at Jingu Stadium. I was in the outfield seats, feeling good after drinking before the game started. I decided to look for a snack to go with my next beer. As I walked through the outfield aisle, I passed by this shop that I've used many times before. This time, I noticed a player-produced menu item called "Takuro Ishii Coach's Pork Braised." Takuro Ishii Coach is a former player who played for Yokohama and Hiroshima, and is now a coach. I know him well, but I wasn't quite sure what "Pork Braised" was. Oh well, I decided to buy it. It cost 1200 yen. I returned to my seat and tried the Pork Braised. It looked like a Western-style pork stew with a chunk of pork in consomme soup. The pork was tender, and the soup had a strong, savory flavor. It was quite salty, but tasted good. There was also bread included, which soaked up the soup nicely. It was a unique stadium food, but I enjoyed it, even without considering it was a collaboration menu with Takuro Ishii Coach.

Visited again in May 2019 around 18:50 on a weekday. Went during a baseball game. There were 5 groups of customers already there. This time, I ordered the "Fish & Chips". I paid first and it was prepared shortly after. The Fish & Chips were served in a paper container with a slice of lemon on the side for a refreshing taste. It's typically enjoyed with tartar sauce, which was decent. It's a good snack to enjoy. I would like to try other items on the menu next time.

Watching baseball at Jingu Stadium. It's a night game on the first day of Golden Week. I entered the stadium about an hour before the 6 pm start of the game. After taking my seat, I went to buy the first beer snack. In the 2019 season, some shops have changed, and new shops have been added. One of them is this one. HUB is an Irish pub that I occasionally see in Tokyo. There is a HUB Gaienmae store near Gaienmae Station, not far from Jingu Stadium, and I have visited it once. First, I went to this shop. It is located slightly to the left of center in the outer ring corridor of the outfield seats. The store looks similar to other shops, with a familiar logo. I look at the menu. They have curry, fish and chips, and more. This time, I ordered thick-cut bacon (500 yen) and edamame (300 yen) as beer snacks. I paid and received the items. I return to my seat. The thick-cut bacon is indeed thick and has a crispy outer layer. It has a delicious aroma and is seasoned with coarse ground pepper, making it a perfect match for beer. The edamame is slightly cold and has a moderate amount of salt. Both items are great beer snacks. As I write this review, I realize that the last time I visited the Gaienmae store, I also ordered thick-cut bacon and edamame. Humans never change (laughs).

I visited the restaurant around 12:00 on a weekend in March 2019. There were three groups of customers already there. I ordered the "Fish Curry" this time. I paid first and the dish was ready in about 2 minutes. The fish curry had a mild flavor and was slightly sweet, but it went well with the rice and was delicious. The fish fry was crispy and had a good texture. It would make a great appetizer too. This was my first visit to the restaurant, which started operating this year. I have seen the name of the restaurant before, and I would like to try other items on the menu next time.

Finally, HUB has reopened after a long break due to the pandemic. While the world was starting to recover, this restaurant took its time to reopen. I had been eagerly waiting for it. When I went early, it was not crowded and I could take advantage of the happy hour to get a good deal on their delicious black beer. As expected, the draft beer was very tasty.

In the midst of a sky that looks like it could collapse at any moment, I arrived at Jingu Stadium. It was a Yakult vs. Hanshin game. The rain was drizzling on and off, not enough to need an umbrella, so I thought I could manage without one and entered the stadium after the opening time. Inside the stadium, there were various shops. I looked around and what caught my eye was HUB. Craft beer at the stadium! I immediately got in line. - Hub Ale (Pint) A classic ale. It has a solid richness and good crispness, making it a drink that doesn't get boring. Since there is still some time before the game starts, maybe I should grab something to eat as well.

Today, I went to the outfield stands at Jingu Stadium for the first time in a while. I headed straight for HUB to try their Ethnic Chicken Rice that I had been wanting to eat for a while. It costs 800 yen and is a limited-time offer. The saffron rice had plenty of chicken on top, and I was very satisfied. Thank you for the meal.
