I suddenly felt like buying something on my way home from work, so I stopped by Asano-ya. It was already past 9 PM, and there were only a few bread left. It was a bit disappointing not having much to choose from. I bought a bacon bread and a loaf of bread at the register... Now, let's have them for breakfast tomorrow.

I had a light breakfast at Asanoya in Ecute on the 3rd floor inside Ueno Station. The shop has a wide variety of breads, with a special panda stamp on the smooth cream bread. I also ordered a blend coffee and enjoyed it at a small eat-in corner with 6 table seats and 3 counter seats facing the concourse. The cream bread with thick custard cream inside was delicious. The coffee was a bit bitter but satisfying. Overall, I think Asanoya is a great place for a casual and satisfying meal.

I stopped by before going through the ticket gate for a transfer on the JR line. It was late, so they were out of soft serve ice cream and had limited bread options. I ordered an iced cafe au lait to enjoy inside. Surprisingly, it was quite delicious! I also bought some bread for breakfast the next day. It was delicious ^^

I stopped by Asakoya at Ecute in Ueno and bought some bread. I got a cinnamon roll and a melon pan. The melon pan looks pretty standard but tastes delicious with a buttery aroma and sweetness. The cinnamon roll is also tasty with a strong cinnamon flavor. It has lemon peel in it, adding a refreshing lemon scent as an accent to the bread. It's very delicious. Next time, I want to try their popular Karuizawa raisin bread.

Hello, this is Numao. Had breakfast at a bakery near Ueno Station. A croissant, a mixed sandwich, and a lemonade cost 1200 yen, which is quite expensive. I didn't check the prices beforehand, my mistake. I was expecting around 700-800 yen. The taste was just average. The croissant was a bit heavy and dense. Ueno, you can't rely on just the panda attraction (laughs). Thank you for the meal.

I had a Maple Financier on this day. It has a distinctive long and thin shape. Among financiers, this one is on the fluffy side, with a subtle taste and aroma of maple. It offers a larger portion compared to other financiers, which adds to its value.

Inside JR Ueno Station's ticket gate, there is a bakery. On this day, I tried the seasonal limited edition Sakura Sweet. I ate it without baking, and from the first bite, the flavor of cherry blossoms spread throughout my mouth, allowing me to enjoy it very much.

I had some errands to run and stopped by Ecute on my way back, transferring at Ueno station. I bought dinner and breakfast at the bakery Asano. For breakfast, I bought a recommended bread called Karuizawa Lezan, a raisin-filled bread that is sold by weight. I lightly toasted it to make the surface crispy and enjoyed it.

I bought curry bread (^o^)v There were two types, so (*^_^*) I asked if it was medium spicy? And they said (・∀・) The keema one is spicy, but (#^.^#) the regular one is medium spicy (*^^*) Another staff member also came by when I was looking at the bread (^o^) saying, "Welcome" (#^^#) The cashier was also nice (^q^) Everyone was so friendly (^ν^)

I visited the "Asano-ya" at Ecute Ueno, located on the 3rd floor inside JR Ueno Station. "Asano-ya" is a long-established bakery founded in 1933 with its main store in Karuizawa, celebrating its 90th anniversary this year. They have expanded their stores mainly in Tokyo, Kanagawa, and Saitama prefectures. Although I often use the store at Ginza Matsuya (I have not posted a review), it has been about 7 years since I last visited the Ueno store. The Ueno store is a bakery with an eat-in space, but on this day, I used it for takeout.
**Breads purchased on this day:**
1. Burnt Whip Custard (302 yen)
2. Melon Pan (205 yen)
3. Grandberry & Cream Cheese (367 yen)
4. Fermented Butter Croissant (237 yen)
I enjoyed these breads at home. The Burnt Whip Custard is a cream bread with two types of cream, whipped cream, and custard cream, in brioche dough with caramel sauce on top. The Melon Pan had a simple taste with a cookie-like texture. The Grandberry & Cream Cheese, recommended by the staff, was a hard bread with cranberries and cream cheese, which tasted great when toasted. The Fermented Butter Croissant had a crispy texture but lacked in butter flavor. The Burnt Whip Custard and Grandberry & Cream Cheese were delicious, but the Croissant was disappointing. Next time, I plan to visit the Ginza Matsuya store and buy the popular Karuizawa Blueberry and Raisin bread. Thank you for the meal.

I went to Ueno✨ Inside the JR station, there is a place called Echute. There is a small eat-in space (with 3 tables for one or two people, and a counter with 2 seats). On this day, we stayed for 15 minutes and shared a cafe au lait and a BLT sandwich.✨
Eat-in
◯ Cafe au lait 290 yen
◯ Clubhouse sandwich 600 yen
Take-out
◯ Karuizawa white strawberry 310 yen
◯ Soft beef meat pie 380 yen
◯ Whole wheat basil sausage dog 460 yen
◯ Blueberry bagel 220 yen
I love Asanoya's bread✨ They all look so delicious that I end up buying too much✨
I often go to the Jiyugaoka store on a regular basis. I always end up getting the "Karuizawa white strawberry or blueberry". Whether it's pies, sandwiches, hot dogs, or sweets, everything is delicious. The other day, I found a store near the ticket gate at Musashi-Kosugi station. This one is take-out only, with fewer options, but they are expanding to other locations as well.⭐︎⭐︎

Located on the 3rd floor of JR Ueno Station is "Boulangerie Asano-ya ecute Ueno store," a popular bakery founded in 1933 with its main store in Karuizawa. This bakery is known for its bread made with high-quality ingredients. It opens at 6:30 am and offers a cozy seating area, making it convenient for those catching an early train at Ueno Station to enjoy breakfast or grab some pastries. I stopped by "Boulangerie Asano-ya" before boarding the shinkansen to Shin-Aomori. The items I tried were: Clubhouse Sandwich, Curry Bread, and Hot Coffee. I first tried their bread in Karuizawa during my college days and have been a fan ever since. The Curry Bread is a popular favorite, and the Clubhouse Sandwich was delicious and filling. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

I occasionally use this place because they sell items in small quantities. This time, I had grape bread. I might not have eaten it much when I was a child. Now, I like the sweetness of the raisins. And the other item was the clubhouse sandwich. The egg was soft and delicious. The only downside is that it can get a bit watery over time. But I get excited because there are a lot of fillings. Thank you for the meal.

Located in Eki Ueno Station, inside EKIMISE Ueno, is a place where you can find the following delicious treats:
- Mini Baumkuchen (220 yen): The crispy sugar coating is delicious, especially when eaten chilled. It's similar to Lawson's fresh Baumkuchen, but the texture of the dough feels denser.
- Cut Baumkuchen [Vanilla] (200 yen): A sweet and moist Baumkuchen.
- Cut Baumkuchen [Chocolate] (200 yen): Also moist and delicious. I recommend trying the whole cake.
- Christstollen (460 yen): A bread-like Stollen with a nice walnut texture. The pre-cut pieces may feel a bit dry.
- White Bread (8 slices, 300 yen): I preferred eating it toasted.

I used it at 6:40 on Sunday. There was a dining area, but maybe because it was Sunday, there were no customers before me. I got a hot coffee to go. I also considered the Honey Apple Tea in the photo, but I decided to start with a standard coffee. I used Ueno Station to catch the Shinkansen, and I am grateful that it is open early in the morning.

I had the opportunity to go to Ueno Station and bought some bread. It was a little after 6pm on a weekday, and there were not many types of products available. The shop itself is not very big, so there may not be many varieties. This time, I took out two items: White Potato France for 320 yen and Soft Beef Meat Pie for 380 yen. The White Potato France bread has a chewy texture with plenty of potato salad inside. The taste of mayonnaise is strong. The Soft Beef Meat Pie has a filling with demiglace sauce, similar to beef stew. The flavor is rich and satisfying.

It was a cute little bag containing a perfectly round curry bread. The filling was probably keema curry, and it was very spicy. I also bought a grape bread. The grapes were sweet and delicious. I toasted it a little bit. Thank you for the meal.

Ueno souvenirs are definitely related to pandas, right? I was really intrigued by the panda illustration on the drip coffee packs at Brangerie Asano-ya when I saw them from the street. There are so many different patterns, it looks like a lot of fun. I also bought the famous raisin French bread and Karuizawa raisin rusk from Asano-ya, both with panda packaging. I enjoyed sipping coffee while looking at the panda illustrations and then snacking on the rusk.

Fermented butter croissant 220 yen Blend 298 yen Today at JR Ueno Station, on the 3rd floor of Echigo Ueno Station. You can also eat in here, so I had breakfast here. I arrived at 7:13 am, with one customer already there and one customer after me. I was also interested in the curry bread, but I already decided on having curry for lunch today, so I chose the croissant. The store has 2 counter seats and 3 two-seater tables. It seems that they have been selling individually wrapped items since the spread of COVID-19. The croissant was crispy on the outside and moist on the inside, with a nice buttery and wheat aroma. It would be nice if they offered a service to warm it up. The blend had a taste I liked, with a slight acidity afterwards. I enjoyed a light breakfast here. - Used for breakfast on June 22, 2022. I visited in the evening on a regular day. It was surprisingly my first visit even though it was in an easy-to-reach location.
- Snow March's Potato France for 324 yen
- New Cranberry & Cream Cheese for 345 yen
The Potato France was very delicious. It had a whole potato inside, giving it a satisfying texture. The mayonnaise-based sauce on top was rich and tasty. I would love to eat it again. Thank you for the meal.
