I have visited this restaurant several times, but it was closed for a long time due to the coronavirus pandemic, so it was my first visit in a while. When I entered the restaurant, the hostess escorted me to my seat. The interior is a bit dark and has a sunken kotatsu table, with the seating areas separated although not completely private, creating a cozy atmosphere. I find it very comfortable. It has a somewhat secretive feel...☺️ The prices are a bit on the higher side, but it's within an acceptable range. It's not the kind of place where you just drink a lot, as you can enjoy conversations. I have visited a few times, and everything I have eaten has been delicious! I highly recommend the tempura and sashimi ❤️ When you order sake, you can choose your favorite small cup! This is a recommended restaurant for dates, business meetings, or times when you want to have a calm conversation~

The appearance gives off a refined izakaya vibe. It's not too noisy, more like a traditional Japanese restaurant than a typical izakaya. The dishes are all carefully made and delicious. Found a nice, relaxing restaurant in Nakano.

I had passed by the store many times before, but I always felt intimidated and never went in. However, I gathered up my courage and visited the store the other day despite the bad weather. The interior had a calm and stylish atmosphere, with a kimono-clad female owner, a very professional-looking chef, and a cute female staff member working diligently. I ordered the sashimi platter, grilled conger eel with sansho pepper, and pork from the menu. The sashimi platter included chu-toro, shimesaba, squid, flounder, and bonito, all of which were fresh and delicious. The standout was the flounder! The grilled conger eel with sansho pepper had a refined flavor, especially when eaten with the sansho pepper seeds. They also had a selection of recommended sake, which changes monthly. You could tell that the chef put a lot of care into the dishes, and everything was delicious. I'm looking forward to visiting again.

Good evening. Today, we celebrated the recovery of my 83-year-old gym buddy who injured his Achilles tendon on the first day of his trip to Ethiopia. We have been friends for over 10 years, and he is still taking good care of me. He says he wants to live until he's 150 years old, and I hope he stays healthy for a long time. When it comes to Japanese food in Nakano, this place is the best choice. The elderly couple also loves it here, and we always have a great time. Everything we eat is delicious, and the jazz music in the background creates a stylish atmosphere. I look forward to visiting again soon. Kappo restaurant located on the second floor along the Tanuki Street at the north exit of Nakano Station. Customers must take off their shoes before entering, and the hostess will store them for you. I ordered a medium-sized beer (580 yen) and the recommended dish of the day, Kaki Tofu (790 yen). The appetizer (350 yen) was a radish salad. I slowly sipped on my beer while waiting for the Kaki Tofu to be served. The Kaki Tofu turned out to be a miso-flavored hot pot dish with ingredients like tofu, oysters, enoki mushrooms, shiitake mushrooms, maitake mushrooms, Chinese cabbage, and chrysanthemum greens. The miso flavor complemented the oysters and mushrooms well, with a refreshing touch from the green onions and yuzu. I then ordered the cheapest sake, Matsumoto (580 yen per cup), and chose a favorite sake cup from the selection. The sake was light and paired perfectly with the delicious dish and the chosen sake cup. The ambiance of the restaurant was dimly lit with jazz music playing in the background. It's a great place for a mature date, but the only downside is the slow service for seafood dishes. This may lead to customers drinking more while waiting, resulting in encountering rowdy drunk customers at times. If this happens, it's best to finish up and continue the date at another place. This is the level of maturity needed when using this restaurant for a date.

On April 24, 2013, the area around Nakano Station's north exit is quite lively due to the presence of Kirin Brewery headquarters and universities. Students can be seen everywhere. Three senior men entered a restaurant as adults. They started with a toast of draft beer and boiled edamame with salt. The edamame dish was small, with only about 10 beans, and priced at 520 yen, which seemed expensive for the portion and lacked flavor. They switched to Matsumoto sake and ordered a sashimi platter for two at 3200 yen. The sashimi was fresh but the portion was small. The stir-fried squid innards were delicious. Unfortunately, with the increased liveliness around Nakano Station, the cost performance of the food seemed to have decreased. They decided to leave quickly and go to another restaurant. On September 6, 2012, after a year, three senior men visited the same restaurant again. They were the only customers at 5:30 pm. They started with a toast of draft beer and then ordered a sashimi platter. The sashimi, including saury, tuna, squid, and octopus, was all fresh and delicious. They tried Kanagawa's "Ryu" sake, but found it a bit sweet, so they switched to Kyoto's "Matsumoto" sake, which was refreshing and easy to drink. The salted kombu marinated water eggplant had a unique taste. They also ordered edamame, grilled chicken wings, and simmered golden-eyed snapper heads, finishing with "negima" skewers. The "negima" skewers had a rich broth with tuna (fatty?), tofu, and leeks, offering a unique taste. They ended up drinking a total of 1.8 liters of "Matsumoto" sake among the three of them, which was a good value at around 5000 yen per person. More customers arrived later, all adults, which seemed fitting. Located in a quiet corner near Broadway at Nakano Station's north exit, this restaurant stands out among the area's calm and mature establishments. Despite the recent trend of chain restaurants creating a subdued atmosphere with dim lighting and private booths, this place is truly a restaurant for adults. The clientele tends to be slightly older. The sashimi and side dishes are all delicious. The Kyoto sake "Matsumoto" served in individual cups is refreshing and easy to drink. Be cautious on the external staircase when leaving.

On Friday night, we had plans to drink with friends. We went to a restaurant in Nakano that the organizer knew well, as all the popular places in Shinjuku seemed to have time limits. I had heard that the fish was delicious here, and indeed the sea urchin melted in my mouth, the sea bream and flounder were firm and tasty, and the grilled mackerel was surprisingly plump and delicious. I was extremely satisfied with the food. As for the drinks, I have recently started to appreciate the taste of sake, and my knowledgeable friend mentioned that they had a great selection of high-quality sake. I ended up drinking almost a whole bottle. Being able to choose my favorite chocolate from a wide variety also added to the overall great experience.

I have been coming to this restaurant since it opened. The interior has a calm atmosphere with jazz music playing. The master is cool and the hostess is friendly, making it a lovely place. First and foremost, the sashimi is outstanding. The taste of the sashimi is unparalleled. I can confidently say that if you don't appreciate this flavor, Japan's food culture will collapse. Depending on the fish, aging and processing may be necessary for the sashimi, but the quality here is top-notch. It's just delicious! Apart from the sashimi, everything else is also excellent, and there are too many dishes to mention. Personally, I mainly order fish and shellfish dishes. For drinks, I recommend Japanese sake. They have a variety of rare brands available.

It had been a while since I visited Nakano, but the restaurant opened around 5 o'clock, despite the sleet falling. Feeling nostalgic, I climbed the stairs to the second floor. The cozy izakaya mainly focuses on fish dishes, with a pleasant jazz music playing in the background, encouraging you to drink. The "Grilled Eel with Sansho Pepper" that I always order is delicious. The vinegar seasoning of the "Kohada" (gizzard shad) is just right, making it a perfect accompaniment to alcohol. This is one of those places where you can't help but stop by.

First visit. The atmosphere inside is calm. They serve Japanese cuisine, sashimi, and shirasu rice, among other dishes. The grilled conger eel with sansho pepper was excellent. Thank you for the meal.
