I visited the Bee's House along the street that had become part of the scenery for the first time. The second floor was full so I was seated at the counter and looked at the menu. Everything looked delicious, but since I love fried chicken, I chose the fried chicken curry. It was a hit. The fried chicken was crispy and close to being perfectly fried, and it matched well with the rice and curry. The curry had a sweet taste at first, followed by a gradually spreading spiciness, making it impossible not to like it. I forgot to ask for less rice, so I ended up with a bit left after finishing the curry and fried chicken. Next time, I will definitely try the Champon, which was unfortunately sold out during lunchtime. I also want to try the curry bread.

Today's lunch was eaten quickly to finish before the scheduled time, in the hot weather. I was looking for something that could be eaten right away and didn't require waiting, so I wandered around. I decided to visit Hachi no Ie Ginza Honten. Located near the Kabuki-za theater, along Harumi Street. I visited around 12 o'clock, and there were no customers on the first floor, where the air conditioning was working well and it was very comfortable. The first floor only had counter seats, and I heard there were seats on the second floor as well, but I didn't use them this time so I'm not sure. I ordered the following dishes: - Nagasaki Hamburg Curry ¥1,350 - Beef Curry with Plenty of Meat ¥1,300 I had the Nagasaki Hamburg Curry. I chose the normal level of spiciness, and it was a delicious curry with a sweet taste of vegetables. The Beef Curry also had plenty of meat and was a spicy curry that tasted great. Is this place a hidden gem for weekend lunch?

I ordered the beef curry, which is a popular dish at this restaurant that has been featured on TV. The curry sauce had a fruity sweetness and a strong spiciness, which was unique. It resembled the classic Japanese-style curry. The first bite was surprisingly good, but the sweetness gradually became overpowering, and I wish there was an option to choose the level of spiciness. However, the rice was terrible. The grains were clumpy, hard, and had a strange, unpleasant smell. Honestly, it's not worth paying for such low-quality rice. I was really hungry, so I forced myself to eat it, but I don't think I'll ever go back again.

I went to "Hachinoya Ginza Main Store" near the Kabuki-za theater on Harumi Street in East Ginza by myself around 18:45. I wanted to grab a bite to eat before using the Kabuki-za theater's newly reopened box seat at 19:20 in June 2023. The hamburger shop next door caught my eye, as I have been there several times before. The fish set meal shop on the right also piqued my interest, as there was a long line outside. "Hachinoya Ginza Main Store" has seating on the second floor as well, and the store's exterior resembles a beehive, which was quite impressive. The menu displayed outside the store surprised me with dishes like omelet curry and beef black curry. The interior of the store was bright, with five counter seats on the first floor, where I sat. The background music playing was Japanese pop female vocal songs. I ordered the pork cutlet curry for 1,150 yen tax included and added a hot spring egg for 150 yen tax included. The pork cutlet inside was juicy and crispy on the outside, complementing the curry well. The rice was firm and paired nicely with the curry, along with the red pickled radish. The hot spring egg was creamy and enhanced the curry dish. Payment options included various credit cards, Paypay, and transportation IC cards, making it convenient. "Hachinoya Ginza Main Store" is a bright and welcoming place where you can enjoy delicious and affordable Sasebo curry before a Kabuki performance. Highly recommended! Check out the details in the blog link provided.

For lunch on this day, I went to the Ginza area but all the restaurants I marked were full and had a waiting list, so I had to give up. While wandering around, I realized that lunchtime was almost over and thought of this curry restaurant. I had the omurice curry for ¥1,100 with beef. The curry sauce was quite sweet but also had a good level of spiciness. However, the amount of rice was large, so it definitely affected my work efficiency in the afternoon. 😄

I visited a curry restaurant in Higashi Ginza that often appears on TV. I ordered the curry with hamburger on top for 1350 yen. The curry was tasty but lacked any distinctive features. The hamburger was soft but had a taste similar to Bikkuri Donkey. The curry was slightly sweet, and I added extra spicy topping for an additional fee. The price was expectedly high for Ginza, but I wished there was more uniqueness to the dish.

It's a small stand-like shop. I had the beef black curry. The beef tendons were very tender and stewed well, giving it a deep flavor reminiscent of beef stew. They also sell curry bread and large cream puffs.

Platto, today's lunch was a stroll around the area near Higashi-Ginza Station. From Exit 5 of Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line Higashi-Ginza Station, when you go up to the ground level, you will see a signal in front of you and Harumi Street on your right. Make a U-turn and walk towards the Kabuki-za direction, and you will find "Hachinoya Ginza Main Store," where I visited today, on your right. I entered the store at 1:35 PM on a weekday. When I entered the store, a female staff member called out from the counter, "Please sit wherever you like, there is also a second floor." There were a total of three customers at the counter seats on the first floor, including two men and one woman dining alone. Since the farthest counter seat was vacant, I sat there, picked up the menu, and checked the menu. The menu included: - Recommended Menu: - Beef Curry with Large Chunks: 1,350 yen - Black Beef Curry: 1,150 yen - Standard Menu: - Beef Curry: 850 yen - Chicken Curry: 850 yen - Vegetable Curry: 850 yen - Hayashi Rice: 850 yen - Extremely Spicy Curry: 900 yen - Half Hamburg Steak with Onsen Tamago Curry: 1,250 yen - Juicy Minced Meat Curry: 1,150 yen - Pork Cutlet Curry: 1,150 yen - Omelette Curry: 1,100 yen - Homemade Fried Chicken Curry: 1,150 yen - Cheese Onsen Tamago Curry: 1,200 yen - Warm Vegetable Curry: 1,200 yen - Shrimp Tartar: 1,350 yen - Fish Tartar: 1,300 yen - Half Hamburg Steak Curry: 1,350 yen - Corn Cream Croquette Curry: 1,150 yen And many more options. When I asked the female staff member for a recommendation, she suggested the "Half Hamburg Steak Curry." So, I decided to go with that and placed my order. After waiting for 3 minutes, the "Half Hamburg Steak Curry" was served. The dish consisted of a large hamburger steak on rice with curry sauce. First, I added the complimentary "Fukujin Zuke" on top of the curry. Then, I tasted the "Half Hamburg Steak Curry." The curry sauce was slightly thick and creamy, starting with a mild spiciness, followed by the depth of sweetness from the onions, the acidity of the tomatoes, and a refreshing taste that spread in my mouth, eventually giving way to the spiciness of the spices. The "Half Hamburg Steak" was tender and easily cut with a spoon, juicy and flavorful even on its own. I enjoyed the "Half Hamburg Steak Curry" to the last bite. Today, I had a great time savoring the recommended "Half Hamburg Steak Curry" by the female staff member, Q-chan.

I was able to visit the "Hachinoya Ginza Main Store" in Higashi Ginza, which I had been interested in for a while. It's right next to the Kabuki-za with its eye-catching orange sign. The interior has about 6-7 counter seats, and there is also a second floor. I ordered the Sasebo hamburger (half) with onsen egg curry (1,150 yen). It does have a slight sweetness to it, but not like children's curry, more like a blend of spiciness and sweetness. It's a warm day today, but I started sweating while eating. Maybe it's the effect of the spices? The hamburger is not like a hamburger steak, but a solid hamburger that goes well with curry. The curry has a thick consistency and mixes well with the rice.

The exterior design looks like a beehive, which might not be immediately recognized as a curry restaurant. The first floor has a counter, and you can go upstairs to find table seating. The curry is served in 8 minutes, and the ingredients are well blended. It is indeed delicious and worth talking about. However, when it comes to curry with cutlet, I feel like it needs more sauce. When I cut the cutlet on top of the rice with a spoon, it cuts smoothly. It has a softness like a minced cutlet, but I wish it had a bit more texture. There are various toppings available, so I feel like I can keep coming back without getting bored.

I visited the Hachinoya Ginza main store to try the famous Sasebo curry, which is also popular among Kabuki actors. I ordered the Chicken Sauce Cutlet Curry for 1050 yen, with a spice level of 3 plus 90 yen for extra rice and 100 yen for a large serving. To my surprise, they offered a free upgrade to a large portion for weekday lunches. When I mentioned that I saw a TV show featuring the restaurant, the lovely owner was thrilled and mentioned that the actor Ainosuke Kataoka also frequents the place. If I'm lucky, I might even run into him! The Sasebo curry, served with Fukujin pickles, was mildly sweet in flavor, but the spice level 3 was perfect for someone like me who enjoys spicy food. The crispy cutlet, freshly fried, was delightful to eat with the curry. Overall, it was a delicious and enjoyable dining experience.

I visited the restaurant for lunch a little before 12 pm on Tuesday. It is a place where you can enjoy Nagasaki curry from Kyushu in Tokyo. The first floor has counter seats, and the second floor has table seats. - Sasebo Half Hamburg Tamago Curry (1150 yen including tax): At first, a fruity sweetness spreads in your mouth, and as you continue eating, the curry gradually becomes spicier. The half-sized hamburger is hot and juicy, making a delicious topping that goes well with the curry. The onsen egg adds a smoothness to the curry.

We ordered the famous Sasebo Burger (hamburger) half size for 250 yen and the classic Sasebo Beef Curry for 800 yen. When it comes to Sasebo, people think of the Sasebo Burger, the fact that the main office is located in Sasebo, the use of fresh vegetables, and the original sauce. Each dish has its own unique taste, making Sasebo's soul food a delightful experience. Recently, a popular TV show featured a giant sweet called Jumbo Choux Cream, which requires reservations. The main attraction seems to be the curry rice, with options for mega-sized curry as well. The Nagasaki Beef Curry we chose had a fruity sweetness with chunks of beef and tendon in the sauce, ending with a slight spiciness. The Sasebo Burger had a fine texture with packed umami flavor that complemented the curry sauce well. Although we only added avocado as a topping this time, it seems that adding it can elevate the deliciousness to a whole new level. During lunchtime (11:00-15:00), they offer free extra rice. The location is convenient, near the Kabukiza Theater. If you come by car, there is a coin parking lot along the road near the Kabukiza Theater and Bunmeido. Thank you for the meal.

I used it on my way home from work. I felt like eating omurice, but it was 17:30. The nearby YOU is closed, and I would have to wait another 30 minutes at Sante Endo. As I wandered around, I found Hachi no Ie. There was a sign for cheese om curry in front of the store. A well-browned omelet... I wanted something a little smoother. Despite my thoughts, I was allowed to enter. There were no other customers inside. You can choose any seat you like. You can store your belongings under the counter. Water is self-service, and there is Fukujinzuke in a bottle. Disposable chopsticks, toothpicks, paper napkins, and an all-star lineup on the counter. Although it is possible to order with a smartphone on the inside wall of the counter, the staff prepared the order slip as soon as I sat down, so I put away my smartphone for the time being. I ordered the cheese om curry (1200 yen tax included) that I was looking for. Before long, the dish arrived, and it looked much better than the menu photos posted outside and inside the store. The smooth and jiggly omelet was sitting vertically on the plate, which was much larger than the menu photos. I thought it would be more appetizing if it were placed horizontally rather than vertically. It would also be easier to eat. The cheese sauce, which was like whipped cream, surprisingly stretched well! The curry was honestly a typical tasty curry like retort curry. It could be described as homely. Even without adding extra spiciness, it was as spicy as a spicy curry eaten at home. It had that aroma commonly found in retort curry, and it was a Western-style curry. The slightly thick curry, which seemed to have vegetables stewed in it, was probably due to the staff being distracted by chatting in the kitchen. The topping was forgotten. Since the curry had already arrived, and waiting was too much trouble, I decided to eat it as it was. They apologized for forgetting the topping at the very end, but it wasn't a big deal, so I wasn't angry at all. Eggs, cheese, curry, and white rice - there's no way these four players wouldn't go well together, but it's difficult to justify the price of 1200 yen... I would be happier if the price were 200-300 yen higher, but I would still want to come back... There were posters on the walls of the store advertising curry bread and retort curry, so I thought they probably stopped using the original method and switched to all retort curry when they did OEM. It's tough to run multiple stores without doing that. I understand the sentiment. After that, a few people started coming in, and when I left the store, there was only one curry bread left. If I have the chance, I would like to try the curry bread as well. Thank you for the meal.

The bee's nest patterned walls are the landmark of the Bee's House curry restaurant in Ginza, with its main store in Sasebo. Ordered the Cheese Omelette Curry. I used to only eat the Sasebo Burger Curry before, but when I went back after a while, it seemed like the menu had expanded quite a bit. The Cheese Omelette Curry in the photo on the big sign near the entrance looked delicious, so I went in. It was quite empty at night, a hidden gem. Only counter seats available. Each seat has a splatter prevention partition. The visual of the Cheese Omelette Curry was lovely. The volume and firmness of the omelette were perfect! The omelette was so fluffy and the cheese was stretchy. This restaurant also has curry bread, and they give you freshly fried ones when you order. The curry bread is also delicious! ♡

I didn't know that this shop originated in Nagasaki, but I had lunch at a shop right in the middle of Higashi Ginza. The simple katsu curry had a crispy katsu that was a bit thin, and the curry sauce was also elegant and simple. It was nice that miso soup was included as a service for lunch. I wish there was a bit more curry sauce though.

Cheese omelette curry for ¥1200 (lunch from 11-15 comes with miso soup). The cheese was more like a creamy sauce and didn't harden even when it cooled down, unlike what the photo suggested. The omelette was fluffy and delicious. The curry was also very tasty, with beef in it (as seen on the menu) that was surprisingly tender. It wasn't too sweet or too spicy, just the right amount of deliciousness. The cheese, curry, and sauce were all delicious and truly amazing! The Fukujinzuke (pickles) on the table were also very tasty. The miso soup had mushrooms in it and was piping hot. I finally found a curry that impressed me with its deliciousness after a long time!

I visited on Sunday afternoon and sat at an available counter seat. After looking at the menu, I decided on the Sasebo Burger Curry (1250 yen). I would like to try a Sasebo restaurant in Ginza. Before I knew it, the dish arrived. The Sasebo Burger Curry has a large, tender hamburger patty topping it. It seems like it could become addictive. It was delicious. Thank you. 2022.09.25. In Nagasaki, when you think of Sasebo, Sasebo burgers, Champon, and Japanet Takata (lol) are famous, but did you know that Nagasaki curry is also famous? Influenced by the pre-war and post-war culture of the Navy and the US military, the curry culture in Sasebo is said to be represented by this place called "Hachinoya" among the locals. When you're not feeling very hungry, how about a refreshing lunch with the smell of these spices and vegetable curry? Today, I tried the mini size! There are many other menu items as well. Of course, they also have Champon! Am I the only one who feels the spices gradually working in my mouth about 10 minutes after eating? I'm grateful once again for living in an era where delicious food is always available. ----- ☆ Tabelog rating: 3.44 Opening hours: 11:00-19:30 (weekdays), 11:00-16:30 (weekends and holidays) Closed: Irregular holidays Payment: Cash only #HigashiGinzaLunch #HigashiGinzaGourmet #HigashiGinzaCurry #NagasakiCurry #Hachinoya #Peace #WishForPeace #Nagasaki #SaseboGourmet #NagasakiGourmet #CurryLoversUnite #CurryClub #LoveForCurry #GinzaLunch #Kabukiza
