On this day, I had some errands in Ikebukuro and decided to have lunch at this place I had been checking out. It's a restaurant specializing in collagen hot pot rice and udon, targeting women, located in Sunshine City and affiliated with Kagurazaka Saryo. I was feeling like I had been eating too much lately and wanted something gentle on the stomach, so I searched and found this place. It was a weekday, but the lunch time was crowded due to the location. You write your name and wait. What I had that day (tax included): - Chicken tsukune and salt koji collagen hot pot with drink set for 1210 yen The collagen-rich soup made with chicken and pork is delicious. The gentle flavor is soothing. It includes root vegetables, making it a healthy hot pot that is perfect for when your stomach is tired. You can change the rice to udon. The drink was brown rice green tea, but it was a bit disappointing as it seemed like it was made from powder and was a bit thin. The menu is full of items that women would like, and I would like to try others as well. The dessert menu is also extensive, so it's no wonder it's always crowded with women. However, the turnover rate is slow. Even if there are empty seats for one person, they don't seat you out of order, so it's a bit of a waste when there are empty seats. However, the staff are all soothing and have a good vibe that matches the atmosphere of the restaurant, so I thought they were good at hiring.

This is a cafe located in Sunshine City. I visited around 4 pm on a Saturday and there was a wait of about 10-15 minutes with 3 groups ahead of me. Unfortunately, the matcha parfait was sold out, but I ordered a matcha latte and matcha ice cream instead. Both were delicious and I enjoyed the lovely cafe with a great matcha flavor.

Recently, I have been avoiding going to restaurants since I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis. However, I decided to go out for a meal with friends after a long time, and I found this place while looking for stomach-friendly food options. The restaurant has a Japanese-style atmosphere and provides a cozy space that feels comfortable for individuals or small groups. The menu offers many stomach-friendly options, with choices like rice porridge and udon that seem suitable for those with digestive issues. I had the chicken meatball and salt koji collagen tea hot pot with a drink set. The soup was gentle with a hint of ginger, making it easy to eat and delicious enough to finish it all. The drink was brown rice green tea, and for dessert, I had hojicha chocolate fondue - a chocolate with hojicha flavor, not too sweet and very tasty. It came with strawberries, pie, mochi, and tofu, along with ice cream. I really liked this place and would love to visit again!

The shop inside Sunshine City is very small, so there may be a wait during lunchtime. This unique restaurant serves rice dishes like risotto in a pot. The rice, filled with plenty of ingredients and broth, is very satisfying and voluminous. The matcha-flavored gateau chocolat is rich and delicious.

【Store Name】Tea Pot Cafe Saryo Sunshine City Store 【Location】Inside Sunshine City, Ikebukuro 【Budget】1000-2000 yen 【Crowdedness】Not crowded around 3pm on weekdays. 【Menu】 - Matcha Tapioca Latte - Houjicha Latte Total: 1485 yen per person 【Overview】 Saryo is a cafe located inside Sunshine City in Ikebukuro. I was attracted by their matcha, so I decided to visit. I ordered the Matcha Tapioca Latte, which uses Uji matcha from Kyoto combined with rich milk. The authentic matcha flavor was delicious. The Houjicha Latte was also flavorful and easy to drink. It's a recommended cafe for a break in Sunshine City, where you can not only enjoy drinks but also have lunch.

At Sunshine Ikebukuro, there is a tea pot restaurant. Despite it being past lunchtime, there was a considerable line with many families waiting. I had made a reservation in advance, so I only had to wait a little before entering. I ordered the Chicken Tsukune and Salt Koji Collagen Tea Pot for 935 yen, with an additional topping of TP cheese for 50 yen. I asked for a small portion of rice and added the cheese on top. The soup had a rich flavor typical of salt koji, and the tsukune was juicy and delicious. For the Salmon and Broccoli Tomato Cheese Tea Pot priced at 990 yen, I requested a small portion of the tsukune tea pot and added extra rice. The default amount of cheese was generous and melted perfectly. The salmon was cooked gently and was very tasty. It was like finishing with a tomato pot-style porridge, which was also delicious. Overall, it was a healthy and satisfying lunch.

Today I had some errands to run in Ikebukuro, so I decided to have lunch here. It was just before 1 pm and all the restaurants on the 3rd floor were crowded, so I went down to the 1st floor where this place had an open table. I ordered the Chicken Tsukune and Salted Koji Collagen Hot Pot Set. It had plenty of root vegetables and had a gentle flavor. I've been eating out a lot recently, so this meal felt gentle on my stomach and left me feeling satisfied. It was delicious.

Visited the Conan Fair at Sunshine City with a friend who is a Conan fan to get a postcard. The featured menu item was the fluffy shrimp and chicken souffle tea hot pot. Underneath the fluffy egg souffle was a gentle tasting hot pot. You could choose between rice or udon, and I chose rice, but udon would have been good too. For the drink set, I chose the roasted green tea and red bean latte ice cream. Thank you for the meal.

I think advertising is amazing. It's my routine to pass through Sunshine City, and I often stop at "Karin" across the street. I had only visited this restaurant once in April 2015 and rated it a "3.0," but I updated it. I couldn't remember what I ate, and the impression wasn't great, so I just passed by in recent years. However, that day, I was drawn to a special menu advertised. It looked delicious. As soon as I thought so, I was led into the store by a staff member. I ordered the "Spring Harvest Clam and Octopus Tea Pot (Udon) Set" (1,210 yen) - as shown in the photo. I chose udon for the set, and the drink was iced brown rice green tea. The brown rice green tea was not to my liking. It had a powdery feel and was too weak, lacking in flavor. The main dish was the tea pot udon. I like the balance of the broth, with a mild and delicate dashi flavor. However, the flavors of the main ingredients in this menu were not good. The clams seemed aged, furthest from freshness. The octopus had lost all its flavor during thawing. It seems they need to be cooked separately to be done well. The appearance of the broth at serving time may have been crucial. I think the udon noodles were good. The other ingredients were generally good. It felt like no matter how hard the lower lineup tried with small plays, if the 3rd and 4th batters couldn't hit, they couldn't win. The service was a bit eager but cheerful and friendly. I would like to try a different menu if I have the chance. Also, there were power outlets in some seats. (By Kyonatsushuuki, 5/17/2022) (58/3.35)

Located in Ikebukuro Sunshine City, this stylish restaurant offers matcha sweets and individual hot pot dishes. The seating is limited but the atmosphere is bright, modern, and calming. The hot pot dishes feature plenty of vegetables and come in small portions, making them popular among women. I tried the "Chicken and Grilled Rice Cake Yuba Tea Pot with Udon (900 yen)" from the lunch menu. The chicken, sliced lotus root, carrots, and grilled rice cake were delicious in the light chicken broth with a hint of yuzu. It was a healthy and satisfying meal that warmed me up. Whether you're a woman or a man dining alone, this is a great place to enjoy a casual hot pot meal when the craving strikes.

A Japanese sweets cafe with almost no connection to me. Sometimes it happens when I'm out with my female friends. However, it turned out to be unexpectedly educational. The prices seem to cover the costs quite well, considering the effort put into the decorations. It's run by just two people who are trying to attract customers for meals during the day by adding hot pots to the menu, so it must be quite challenging. But being located in Sunshine City, the cafe probably attracts a lot of customers. Japanese sweets are dense in quality and weight, so I imagine it's not easy to reduce the costs compared to inflated Western sweets.

During the Bon Festival period in August 2020, I visited the restaurant around 1 pm on a Friday. Despite nearby cafes being crowded, this place was only about 80% full. The seating was spacious and comfortable. I was tempted by the gentle aroma of udon or hot pot broth, but I had planned to have the S'mores. I ordered the Matcha Frozen S'mores for ¥899, which consisted of matcha ice cream, vanilla ice cream, marshmallows, and cereal with a crispy burnt top. The cereal was more like oatmeal, which stayed delicious till the end. I have tried the seasonal cherry blossom flavor at another branch, but I recommend the regular matcha flavor as the sponge-like cake was too sweet. The portion was generous, so I suggest not having it after a full meal. I used it as my lunch substitute (lol). I visited the main store in Kagurazaka before, where there were long waits and cramped seating, so I found this branch to be a hidden gem. Although the access is a bit tricky, it's worth a visit if you are around Sunshine City area!

Uji Matcha Kin-to Kakigori for 700 yen. I was looking for a shaved ice shop and came across a beautiful rolled screen advertising kakigori. I visited around 4 pm on a weekday. The shop had 4 tables for 4 people and 4 tables for 2 people, making it cozy and small. There were 5 groups and 1 person already there, with 2 empty 2-person tables. They offered two types of kakigori: Shaved ice with condensed milk and strawberries, and Uji Matcha Kin-to kakigori. I ordered the Uji Matcha Kin-to kakigori without ice cream. It was served in less than 5 minutes. The glass bowl was filled to the brim with matcha syrup generously drizzled over it, topped with large red bean paste. The finely shaved ice was slightly firm but fluffy when eaten. The special syrup made with Kyoto Uji matcha was rich in flavor and aroma. The balance of matcha bitterness and sweet red bean paste was just right.

I stopped by here after walking around in the sunshine and feeling tired. I ordered the limited-time strawberry Mont Blanc set with matcha, and also a black sugar green tea. The black sugar green tea was served in a small cup with a pot for self-pouring. The milk that came with it was nicely foamed and warm, which I appreciated. When I added a small amount of the subtly fragrant black sugar syrup and milk, it made me feel warm and cozy. Personally, I prefer a stronger black sugar flavor, but this was still good. As for the Mont Blanc, it had large strawberries, elegant whipped cream that wasn't too sweet, and a smooth chestnut paste that all went down easily. The matcha powder added a nice aroma and didn't get boring. The matcha served in a matcha bowl was a bit light, but it had a balance of bitterness, aroma, and sweetness that was just right after eating. This is definitely worth spending over a thousand yen on.

A cozy one-person hot pot restaurant that seems gentle on the body. The hot pot is served in small pots, not bubbling in front of you. I tried the tofu hot pot, which had a soothing taste. It was within my expectations, nothing particularly distinctive. It seems to target women, with just the right amount of food. I liked that you could choose between udon or rice. The tea-based desserts looked delicious, so I would like to try them next time. The restaurant is not very spacious, so there were customers waiting, making it a bit unsettling.

When I arrived at the restaurant at 7:00 pm, there were 3 people and 2 groups of 2 people waiting. There were 6 seats available to sit while waiting. I had to wait for about 20 minutes before being seated. The restaurant was small and it was difficult to find a place to put my belongings. The seating arrangement was mostly 1-on-1 facing each other, and if there were more than 3 people, tables were placed together. Today, there were 2 kitchen staff and 1 waiter. It took a few attempts to get the waiter's attention to place our order. We ordered salmon and broccoli tomato cheese hot pot udon, and root vegetables and pork shabu-shabu with sesame soy milk hot pot rice. It was surprising that we could choose latte drinks as well. The udon was a bit difficult to finish as the spoon was shallow, but the rice was easier to eat with the soup. It was very delicious. The juicy and healthy ingredients like radish were cut into large pieces, which was nice. I would like to visit again when I have fewer belongings to carry!

Around 18:30 on a regular day, I had the "No-Wait Root Vegetable and Pork Sesame Soy Milk Hot Pot" with udon noodles. It cost around 1300 yen for a drink and dessert set. Luckily, I drew a great fortune at the register and got it for half price. Lucky me! It was my first time trying a tea hot pot, and I had high expectations. The hot pot was filled with lots of root vegetables, giving it a satisfying texture. The taste was simply delicious. It felt like I was getting a good balance of vegetables, protein from the pork, Vitamin B1, and soy milk. It was also very helpful to see how to make a hot pot for one person! This place offers stylish, healthy meals that women would appreciate. I look forward to trying other hot pots next time! Thank you for the meal!

You can choose between a small pillar and mushroom hot pot style tea pot udon or rice. I chose rice! It's spicy and perfect for cold days. The portion of rice is generous, and I think it's enough for a woman to feel full. For lunch, a drink is included, so it's quite a good deal.

Visited with children on a weekend around 11 o'clock. It was a small shop in Sunshine, but we were able to enter without waiting even with a stroller. * I chose the rice or udon option for the small pillar and kikurage hot pot-style tea pot. I chose udon. A small side dish (broccoli and tomato namul on this day) was included. The cute pot was piping hot! I imagined it would be a bit spicier since it's a hot pot, but it was relatively mild. Besides small pillars and kikurage, there were also plenty of root vegetables. I was happy that the udon was low-carb udon. I realized after entering that it was a sister store of Kagurazaka Saryo, and indeed many people were ordering delicious-looking matcha desserts. The interior was mostly women. By the time we left, there was a line forming. With a small number of seats, a high percentage of women, and seemingly slow turnover, it seems easier to get in by avoiding peak times.

I finally visited a shop that I had been curious about for a long time! I went there specifically for the chocolate fondue. They had two types, matcha and roasted green tea, and I chose the roasted green tea for its uniqueness. The rich aroma and bitterness of the roasted green tea were just to my liking ♡ There were not enough things to dip, so I ended up with leftover chocolate! (I used a spoon to eat just the chocolate) The roasted green tea chocolate was so delicious that I think I will go back for more! For the drink, I ordered a roasted green tea tapioca latte, but maybe I didn't need the tapioca? The hard tapioca was getting in the way of enjoying the drink... that was the only disappointing part!
