I really wanted to have chestnut rice, but they didn't have it so I ordered matsutake mushroom rice, dashimaki tamago, and karaage instead. I wanted to order my favorite sake, Shinsei No. 6, but it was sold out, which brought my excitement down. I ended up ordering another recommended sake, but I was too tired to remember what it was. The dashimaki tamago came out really quickly and was delicious.

Located in Shinjuku Center Building, the location is convenient and you won't get wet even if it rains. They showed me the underground passage. The eel was light and fluffy, and I finished it in no time. The warabi mochi was chewy and I finished it quickly. The prices vary depending on the dish, but I think they are reasonable! You can also make reservations, so if you book in advance, you can secure a spot without having to wait in line, which was great for someone like me who doesn't like to wait!

It had a sweet finish, allowing us to savor the tender nodoguro slowly. It's recommended to eat it slowly as there are small bones. We sprinkled ikura on the rice cooked in a clay pot, had warabi mochi as dessert, and before we knew it, 2 and a half hours had passed. It's definitely a value for money restaurant.

Colorful Daimyo Gozen: I informed them in advance about my dislikes, and despite the high number of orders, they were considerate. Opening the large Gozen set makes you go "Wow" with excitement. Lovely small dishes, appetizers, tofu dishes, sashimi, tempura, and simmered dishes are lined up. The soft tofu with savory sauce was delicious. The dashimaki tamago was elegant. The white miso soup with red miso was also included. The shiny and sweet white rice was delicious. Dessert was sudachi sherbet. Oku-Kuji Egg and Wasanbon Brulee: I ordered an additional dessert. The caramelized part was thick and crunchy. The brulee had a rich and creamy texture with a strong egg yolk flavor. The Momo Perini drink was delicious! A rich peach puree mixed with sparkling wine. It's tasty but be careful as it's a strong drink.

How about lunch matchmaking in Shinjuku? This place has a nice atmosphere where you can talk leisurely. There is a good distance between tables, so you can have a conversation without worrying about other people. The lunch costs around 1800 yen, which is a bit on the higher side. Drinks are not included in the price. The food is average, nothing special. It might be recommended for those who like Japanese cuisine.
