I was looking around wondering where to go, and then I found a salad plate lunch. You can customize your favorite side dishes and main dishes to create a one-plate style menu. The green salad is default ⭐️ Standard plate 1,300 yen with 5-grain rice, 2 side dishes, and 1 main dish ⭐️ Salad plate 1,250 yen with 3 side dishes and no 5-grain rice. I mentally reserved the Standard plate and then went to the counter where the dishes are lined up to have my chosen dishes placed on the plate, and then proceeded to the register. It's a good system because the food is ready, so as long as you can sit down quickly, it's great, especially when you're short on time. ⭕️

When I focus on the main meal, I choose the standard plate with 2 side dishes, 1 main dish, and mixed grain rice, or the healthy-oriented salad plate with 3 side dishes. The deli and main dishes are not freshly made, but they are all delicious like the tasty side dishes in the depachika (department store basement). I ordered the lunch plate with a variety of salads (you can choose two side dishes and one main dish). The side dishes I chose were marinated salmon salad and steamed chicken with kale salad. For the main dish, I chose fried chicken with sweet and savory sauce dressing. The dressing options were Cobb dressing. It was fun to choose and enjoyable to eat, making me feel healthy. The water server even had fruit infused water, and the whole place was just so stylish.

Today I went to Ms. Market. It's a refreshing salad shop on the restaurant floor above Lumine in Ikebukuro. I chose the standard plate with fried eggplant, sweet and salty mix of sausages and root vegetables, and tofu hamburger. My wife had kale with creamy nut sauce, bacon and cabbage puttanesca, and lasagna as her main dishes. Everything was delicious. The staff were also very nice.

Ikebukuro Lumine's restaurant area. We stopped by here to eat something before watching Noda Map's "Q" at the nearby theater. The restaurant has a visible interior from the outside, making it easy to enter even for one person. However, we went with three people on this day. Ordering turned out to be easy, and after securing our seats, we were guided by the staff all the way to the payment. Since there were no available table seats, we sat side by side at the counter. When our food was brought over, we noticed a table had opened up and the staff kindly suggested we move there. It was nice to be able to choose our main course and salad while seeing them in person. They offer detox water for all-you-can-drink, but since it was hot, I also ordered an iced Earl Grey tea. The open yet calming interior allowed us to relax. The food tasted like something you'd find in a department store basement, just normally delicious. The main plate was reasonable at 1200 yen, but the 600 yen drink felt a bit overpriced.

You can choose from three dressings, I chose Cobb. The salad was generous. The peperoncino is not pasta but aglio e olio style with anchovy, red pepper, and garlic. The oil-drenched chicken comes with two large pieces of chicken breast in a tangy sauce with eggplant, cucumber, and tomato. The spinach quiche was not very memorable but overall good and filling. I usually don't pay much attention to average places, but I like the style of choosing your own dishes. I'll definitely come back.
