The famous restaurant "Todaka" from Gotanda has opened in Toranomon Yokocho. Just like the Gotanda location, it's also a popular spot that's hard to get a reservation at. Luckily, we managed to snag a last-minute seat at this group reservation-only place and had a wonderful time. The restaurant is located at the back of the alley, with an L-shaped counter. It's surprisingly spacious and clean, unlike the cozy atmosphere of the Gotanda branch. The menu is displayed on a blackboard above the counter, offering a variety of drinks. We started with Todaka's specialty "Toda Biano," a unique drink made with fresh oranges and beer. The course consists of one set, with mostly all-you-can-drink options. The alcoholic course costs 15,000 yen, while the non-alcoholic is 13,000 yen. The non-alcoholic menu is also impressive, especially the freshly grated juice selection. On this particular day, the dishes included: - Uni onsen tamago with ikura - Oyster and aosa seaweed chawanmushi - Seiko crab and shark fin soup - Shima aji namero with iburi gakko, sawara - Ebiimo karaage with sake kasu cream sauce - Wagyu and shirako shabu-shabu with greens like watercress - Kin kan white ae with mascarpone and tofu - Kamash, grated daikon and ume - Sweet red bean cheese mochi The meal ended with a series of 5 carb dishes: - Seri-filled gyudon - Motsu ramen - Takana fried rice - Refreshing maze soba with plum flavor - Todaka curry The dessert was an ichigo daifuku. It's a creative Japanese cuisine that balances flavors well. It starts off strong, then transitions to a broth-based umami taste, and finishes with a series of carb dishes. The contrast in flavors is well-executed. You can choose the portion size for the rice dishes. Sitting at the end of the counter, I felt the pressure of deciding on a smaller portion. I managed to finish the meal and took the gyudon and ichigo daifuku home. Todaka in Gotanda is great, but Todaka in Toranomon is also a top-notch restaurant! Looking forward to my next reservation in November next year. Can't wait!

I visited TodaKa in Toranomon with a rating of 3.66 on Tabelog. It is located in Toranomon Hills, at the back of the 3rd floor dining area. The interior has a clean L-shaped counter seat and an open kitchen. This popular restaurant from Gotanda has branches in various locations, including Toranomon Hills. I tried the chef's special course with all-you-can-drink option, which offered a great combination of taste, portion, and price. The course included various dishes such as sea urchin with salmon roe, abalone with liver sauce, eel and burdock tofu soup, seared bonito with grated onion, and more. The amount of food was overwhelming and the creative dishes were excellent. It's definitely a great restaurant worth visiting.

Located in the Yokocho of Toranomon Hills, Todaka's branch offers enjoyable dining with great value for money, just like its main store. The friendly service inherited from the main store is fantastic, making you feel like you're dining at a homey place where you can eat to your heart's content. Todaka is a rare type of restaurant that resembles a small course meal establishment. Some of the highlights include: - Sea urchin onsen tamago - Abalone with liver sauce - Eel and burdock tofu soup - Bonito sashimi - Todaka chicken with yuzu pepper - Fruit tomato with white tofu and mascarpone cheese - Matsutake mushroom chawanmushi - Fried eggplant in sweet sauce - Sweet red bean cheese mochi - Corn beef rice - Mackerel mentaiko temple mixed rice - Ume tsukemen - Todaka curry - Peach daifuku The adventurous dishes are delicately prepared, and it's no wonder why this restaurant is so popular.

Too cheap! Too good service! Too delicious! I made a reservation at the original 【Shokudo Toka】 in Gotanda a year ago, and finally visited their Toranomon branch. I was really looking forward to it, and I must say, it exceeded my expectations. I have a fish allergy and couldn't inform them in advance, but they kindly accommodated me on the day. Thank you very much. The menu is only available in course meals, with the price varying based on whether you include alcohol. It's all-you-can-drink, with a wide variety of dishes, and it only costs 15,000 yen. It's too cheap. The staff's service is excellent, just like at Shokudo Toka. It's so good that it almost feels like Disney. And although I feel bad for constantly comparing it to Shokudo Toka, the taste is just as amazing. I've already made a reservation for my next visit. I could reserve for dinner two years in advance, or one year in advance for lunch. This is an amazing restaurant. I'm looking forward to my next visit. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

When I arrived, they said I could make a reservation for the next time, but popular time slots (like 8:00 pm) had a 2-year wait, while earlier times had a 1-year wait, haha. Menu: - Uni on top of simmered egg with salmon roe - Abalone with liver sauce (pouring the leftover salmon roe on top) - Eel and burdock tofu soup - Bonito sashimi with green onions, onions, and grated daikon radish - Todaka chicken (Toda-chiki) with homemade yuzu pepper - Fruit tomato with mascarpone and tofu paste - Matsutake mushroom chawanmushi - Deep-fried white eggplant with roasted sesame seeds - Sweet red bean cheese mochi to finish - Corn beef rice - Mackerel mentaiko temple mixed rice - Ume dipping noodles - Todaka curry - Kiwi daifuku I thought the sake would be an additional cost, but it was included along with wine for 15,000 yen. It was a fun time discussing with the staff which alcohol would go well with each dish. The price felt surprisingly cheap. The staff were friendly and even gave us some complimentary desserts, making it a luxurious experience. I managed to secure a reservation for my friends for the year after next before heading home. Now, I'll try my luck again for a cancellation slot, I also want to visit Gotanda next time. ✨

I finally managed to make a reservation for the 2:00 PM slot, as it was quite difficult to get one. I ordered the all-you-can-drink alcohol course (¥15,000). There were various types of alcohol available, especially a variety of Japanese sake, which paired well with the dishes. We enjoyed a wide range of Japanese cuisine, and as mentioned in reviews, we were completely full and even received a parting gift. It was great value for the delicious food and drinks we had. I would definitely like to visit again.

The summer course at Todaka was a first for me. Once again, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Starting from sea urchin on simmered egg, to abalone liver sauce rice topped with leftover salmon roe. Bonito somen noodles served with grated nagaimo. White corn tempura. Sugar-glazed tomatoes served with pickled radish, similar to shabu-shabu. Grilled eggplant with plenty of freshly roasted sesame seeds. Sweet red beans with cheese mochi. Corn and beef rice. Mackerel and mentaiko mixed rice. Plum dipping noodles and curry udon. Kiwi daifuku. It was a delightful experience. I was surprised to see a customer who ordered all dishes in large portions! We also enjoyed a variety of recommended Japanese sake. Todaka never fails to impress with their friendly staff and delicious dishes. Unfortunately, reservations for popular days are now fully booked for two years ahead!

I had visited Tadaka in Gotanda a few times, but this was my first time at Toranomon! It has a counter with 12 seats and a more open atmosphere compared to Tadaka in Gotanda. There were many staff members, and it was fun to chat with them across the counter. The food was not only visually appealing but also delicious! I tried various dishes and left feeling full. There is a wide variety of drinks available, so you can enjoy plenty of them! With alcohol, it costs 15,000 yen, and without alcohol, it costs 13,000 yen. The next reservation is in a year and a half! It's very popular. ♡

Tiger Gate Yokocho, #Tora no Mon Tadaka, 3.65 stars. This was my 8th visit ☺️ I went to try the summer limited edition beef rice that made a comeback. Here's what I had: ◆ Sea urchin and simmered egg ◆ Abalone liver sauce ◆ Eel and burdock tofu soup ◆ Bonito and yam noodles ◆ Fried corn ◆ Fruit tomato salad ◆ Conger eel and leek soup ◆ Roasted sesame tofu ◆ Sweet red bean cheese mochi ◆ Beef and corn rice ◆ Mackerel mentaiko temple rice ◆ Plum dipping noodles ◆ Tadaka curry ◆ Kiwi fruit drink ◆ Kiwi sour ◆ Sake ◆ Homemade cola sour ◆ Chiran tea. The ending system has changed and I was looking forward to it. Although the number of dishes has decreased to 4, there is no need to worry as the quantity is the highest it has ever been. The volume of the mackerel rice, paired with the beef rice, is amazing and you can easily turn it into ochazuke halfway through ☺️ The beef rice, combined with the sweetness of the corn, is exquisite️ Thank you Kohei-san for another great experience. Thank you Tora no Mon Tadaka for the meal.

It has been 8 months since my last visit. The focus was on vegetables and seafood, and it felt lighter than before. It was gentle on both my body and stomach. The summer vegetables were deliciously prepared. And the next reservation is for December next year! Every time I go, the reservations get further in advance...! I hope to go next time in good health too.

A reservation-only creative izakaya located in Toranomon Business Tower, Toranomon Yokocho, where each dish in the all-you-can-drink course is delicious and served in abundance. There was too much food for me, an older gentleman! The next available reservation is said to be a year and a half away! I wonder if I can come next time.

I was invited to a popular restaurant with a few months wait and a reputation for delicious food. It was located in a corner of Toranomon Yokocho. The seating was mostly at the counter, where you could quickly order drinks and watch the various dishes being prepared right in front of you. The staff was friendly, making the counter seating very comfortable. The course meal had only one option, with the choice of a non-alcoholic or alcoholic drink package at different prices. The freshly squeezed fruit juice was amazing, tasting like pure fruit! The kiwi juice felt like eating fresh fruit. The sours made with it were fruity and delicious! Some people at the table even ordered all the options, making it a challenge to try them all. I tried various types of sake, and the unique ochoko and tokkuri were so cute that I couldn't resist taking a picture. The dishes featured eel, conger eel, tomatoes, eggplant, and corn, perfect for summer. It was great to experience the season through food. Each dish was beautifully crafted, showing the care put into it. The presentation, texture, aroma, and of course, the taste were all delightful. There were four options for the finale, and you could try them all if you wanted. I opted for the corn rice to go, which was a great option. The portion sizes were customizable, so even those with big appetites would be satisfied. I definitely want to go back for another meal.

After waiting for several months, I finally tried Toranomon Tadaka. The boiled egg with sea urchin and salmon roe, slow-cooked tomato, carefully prepared conger eel, seaweed somen noodles, shrimp fried rice, and Tadaka curry were all delicious. It seems I'll have to wait until next year for my next visit. 😊

I have visited the standing bar in Gotanda and the yakitori restaurant before, but this was my first time visiting the yakitori restaurant in Toranomon. Starting with ikura & uni on the simmered egg, it was a course menu that made me excited from the beginning to the end, using seasonal ingredients such as ayu, eggplant, corn, bonito, tomato, and pickled radish. I ended up feeling too full, so I took the grilled head of a fish and a kiwi daifuku home. I definitely want to visit this restaurant again.

Like Gotanda, Tadaka also carefully prepares seasonal ingredients. The staff at the counter are friendly and can give advice on sake. Tadaka is great because you can eat a lot and feel satisfied. They also adjust the portion size for the final rice or noodles. It's fun to watch them make the fruit daifuku for dessert.

The elusive famous restaurant "Shokudo Toka" in Toranomon that is fully booked up to two years ahead ✨ The highlight of the day was not the usual beef rice, but a luxurious dish of grilled nodoguro fish incorporated into the rice. I came here specifically for this dish and I was more than satisfied, it exceeded my expectations. The other dishes were also outstanding, as always, and I am already looking forward to my next visit. The menu included: sea urchin onsen tamago, fried taro with sake lees cream, ayu fish and grilled eggplant soup, bonito and long yam somen, fried corn, white sesame-dressed sweet potato, wagyu beef and leek roll with lotus root tofu soup, mibuna and abalone mushroom with sesame dressing, and sweet red bean cheese mochi. After checking the Instagram Stories for a few years, I finally managed to make a reservation at Toranomon Todaka! The restaurant was lively, with many foreign visitors. I opted for the 15,000 yen course with alcohol, starting with a delicious orange-flavored beer called "Toda Biano." The dishes that followed, such as Uni on the boiled egg, fried taro, bonito and long yam noodles, grapefruit and white sake, wagyu and leek rolls, sweet red bean cheese mochi, and kiwi daifuku, were all incredibly delicious. The main dishes, including nodoguro rice, aosa noodles, beef tripe mapo tofu, plum dipping noodles, and Todaka curry, were equally satisfying. I already made a reservation for 2024, as I definitely want to visit this restaurant again. Thank you for the wonderful meal!
