The tare dipping sauce was delicious, even when drunk on its own. I enjoyed dipping grilled meat in the tare sauce and topping it with grated daikon radish. There were many fresh ingredients and everything tasted great. The male staff members were friendly and I would like to visit again. However, it seems to get crowded quickly, so I will need to make a reservation or go early. This time I dined indoors, but it looks like outdoor seating will be available until the end of October.

Despite the common perception of high prices at riverside dining spots, this place offers reasonably priced delicious domestic wagyu beef and around 20 types of hormone dishes. No seating charge for the cool dining spot! You can order individual items! Carefully selected domestic wagyu beef! Hormone dishes with outstanding freshness! The meat is finely sliced and prepared to remove any unpleasant odor, allowing the rich flavor to spread in your mouth. You can also enjoy the Kyoto-style "wash sauce" made by combining Kyoto-style dashi and grated radish. I used the course menu on the day of the Gion Matsuri Send-off Bonfire. The medium-cut kalbi was only 660 yen and surprisingly large, about 5x10x5 centimeters. Not only was it visually impressive, but it was also delicious and satisfying to eat. Additionally, the thinly sliced pork loin was served in a style where you mix it with eggs, and it was also very tasty with its melt-in-your-mouth texture. I was able to enjoy the Send-off Bonfire as well, and the cost performance was excellent.

I searched for yakiniku in Kyoto and found this place. I don't remember what ranking it was, but I decided to try it out. It is located along the Kamo River and they also have a riverside seating option. Since I was dining alone, I sat at the counter inside. I started with the negi shio tan (green onion salted tongue) and also had hoso (thinly sliced meat) for the first time in a while. The staff, who seemed to be young, took my meat order. It seemed like they already had the meat pre-cut and ready on plates. I'm not sure if there is a difference between cutting the meat before or after the order is placed. Since I'm not an expert, I can't really tell. Overall, the food was not exceptionally delicious. My impression was that it was just an average yakiniku restaurant.

I made a reservation for a riverside seat. They have a two-part system for the riverside seats. We ordered hormone, kalbi, and salad. Having ice-cold beer and meat on a summer night is the best! The menu is rich and reasonable. It was a great dinner with my close friends. ♡

I visited the restaurant with the intention of enjoying yakiniku on the riverside terrace, but unfortunately it was raining. So, we had to sit inside the restaurant instead of enjoying the view of the Kamo River. The menu was reasonably priced and everything was delicious! A friend treated us this time, so we indulged in the food without worrying about the prices. They had both traditional yakiniku dishes and some unique and tempting options. The sukiyaki with rib roast was delicious, and the off-menu special, the thick-cut rib roast steak, was amazing. The tongue and yukhoe were also delicious, and the quality of the beef was excellent. It truly felt like a great yakiniku experience! Yakiniku with beer, yakiniku with rice, and finishing with cold noodles - everything was delicious. By the time we left, the rain had stopped, and I could see that the riverside terrace had a great atmosphere and view. I definitely want to visit again to enjoy the ambiance of the Kamo River next time. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

The beef tongue and skirt steak were delicious! The tripe was a bit small and didn't cook evenly, so we had to work on getting it cooked properly ourselves. The staff seemed a bit pushy, constantly coming to take away empty plates. However, the atmosphere of the restaurant was really nice, so I think it's a good place to go with friends for a casual meal.

A barbecue restaurant where you can order a la carte dishes at Kawadonaruyo. It was really crowded at Kawadonaruyo, so it took a while for our orders to arrive, but eating barbecue outside was delicious. Barbecue in Kyoto is delicious. It's Kyoto-style to dip the barbecue in broth before eating it.

Anyway, it was delicious! Each piece of meat served had a strong flavor and was exquisite! Even the limited edition meats were incredibly delicious. The beef tongue was perfect with a great texture and flavor. The only downside was that the spicy meat came with sauce, but I would have preferred to try it with just salt and pepper. The service was attentive, including handling smoke from the grill. I hope this wonderful restaurant continues to thrive!

The atmosphere of Showa Retro is very nice at this restaurant♪ All the staff were friendly and provided great service. The variety of meat options, including unique and authentic Japanese black beef, was impressive. The special sauce (dashi) for Kyoto yakiniku had a gentle flavor. The kimchi assortment was well marinated and delicious. Eating white kimchi on top of white rice was amazing. The seared raw beef yukhoe was also delicious.

I decided to eat meat today after having seafood for two nights in a row, so I chose this restaurant along the Kamo River. We arrived at 5:00 pm, when they opened. We were seated at the counter, which was convenient. We ordered a bottle of beer, recommended white liver sashimi, salted beef tongue, tripe, rib meat, and bean sprout namul. We were served dried radish, dipping sauce, and spicy grated daikon, showcasing Kyoto's yakiniku culture. The beef tongue was thinly sliced and tasted fresh, tender, and juicy. The tripe had a slight odor but was delicious with a good chewy texture. The white liver was soft and had no unpleasant taste. The rib meat was served as a single piece and was fun to cut and eat. A new staff member asked us to follow the restaurant on Instagram, and in return, they gave us Yannnyon chicken as a service. It was crispy with peanuts and a sweet ketchup-based sauce, spicy and juicy, very delicious. We finished with two more lemon sours. The total bill was 5,550 yen including tax. They plan to open the second floor from May 1st. Looking forward to it!

While I was sightseeing in Kyoto, I suddenly felt like having yakiniku and searched around to find this place. It's located near the Kamo River, but in a narrow and hard-to-find alley at the very end. Since I arrived right after they opened, there were no other customers, but I enjoyed delicious meat at the counter while sipping on a drink.

Since October 6, 2010, I have also written about at least one new restaurant visit per day, totaling 4234 days today. Today, I will introduce three new and interesting restaurants for the first time on this blog. One of them is "Yakiniku Horumon Mansei," which opened on April 6th in Sanjo, Kyoto. Their lunch menu offers a small bowl and soup set for 1100 yen. You can choose between Yakiniku Horumon bowl, Yukhoe bowl, or for an additional 200 yen, the mixed Gokudon bowl. The soup options include beef tail egg soup or Sundubu. I ordered the Yukhoe bowl with beef tail egg soup.

A barbecue restaurant where you can enjoy the bed as well. The restaurant is filled with the smell of barbecue, but the interior is very clean. This time, I had a mini bowl and soup set for lunch. The mini bowl was the Gok (hormone and Yukke) and the soup was tail soup. The tail soup had tofu in it and was thickened with egg. The flavors were already included. The Yukke melted and was delicious, but the hormone was not so tasty. Disappointing. The tail soup also had too strong seasoning, which was a bit disappointing. But I'm full now!

It was around 23,000 yen for 4 people, but the food took too long to arrive. The meat was delicious and it's a great place to enjoy a BBQ-like experience during the summer!!

Yakiniku restaurant along the backstreets of the Kamo River. I was the second customer to arrive after they opened. I had the simmering oxtail soup and the Yakiniku bowl (deluxe). The rice with strong sauce and the soup went really well together!
