The matcha was rich and delicious! However, for the price, it was just okay. I don't think I will come back. The store is not very spacious, and there are many couples. If you are a couple or a matcha lover, it might be worth a visit.

Matcha creme brulee on a tray, but lined up as the third group at 12:00 on a weekday. We enjoyed it inside the shop and it was ready quickly! The top was crispy, and the filling was slightly warm with the matcha and cream at room temperature. Then came the cold matcha ice cream with a crunchy freeze-dried strawberry on top, which was delicious. We shared it between two people and would like to try more food from other places as well.

The crepe was filled with sweet matcha flavor all the way to the skin! I was torn between the popular creme brulee and tiramisu, but this time I chose the creme brulee. I was expecting a richer matcha flavor, but since it's a crepe, it had a sweet matcha taste. The crepe skin had the most matcha flavor. They were offering a 50 yen discount for following them on Instagram.

After leaving Hanayashiki, I went to Tabanenoshi, a tea house in Asakusa. I bought the "Kakegawa Matcha Brulee". The surface was crispy brulee, inside there was cream, matcha ice cream, pie crust, and strawberries. The crispy brulee part was delicious, and the crust was chewy. The matcha part was slightly bitter, but the cream and pie crust inside were sweet, so even children could enjoy it. I love matcha, so I'm happy to see more matcha sweets in Asakusa. I finally visited the matcha crepe shop I've always wanted to go to! I had previously visited the famous Jukoan in Asakusa twice, and now I finally made it to Tanenoshisan. At Jukoan, the creme brulee crepe was always sold out, so I made sure to order it this time. The crispy and slightly bitter matcha flavor was delicious. The presentation was beautiful with the gold flakes. However, I was disappointed that the ice cream inside was not a rich matcha flavor. The crepe was mostly made up of ice cream and matcha cream, so the taste didn't change much and I got tired of it. It's a shame that there weren't more variations in the menu. Also, the staff wasn't very friendly. The atmosphere and music in the shop were lovely, so it's a shame. I probably won't go back, but I'm satisfied because it was something I had been wanting to try. Thank you for the meal.

I was born and raised in Asakusa, so I can almost say that I'm a local. However, I only recently found out that there is a trend for matcha crepes in the area. I decided to visit a recommended shop that I discovered through a certain media. The shop had a modern and minimalist interior design, similar to Muji. The matcha crepe I ordered was called Matcha Brulee for 990 yen. The appearance was long and slender with a decorative ribbon on top. The surface had a crispy caramel layer, but because the crepe itself was soft, it was difficult to break it with a spoon. The taste was heavy and not as rich in matcha flavor as expected. The texture was dense and overly sweet, with no distinct accents. Overall, I found the crepe to be too heavy and lacking in texture variety. The matcha ice cream provided some relief with its refreshing coldness, but it didn't add much to the overall experience. In conclusion, I believe that the crepe's texture was the main issue, being too dense and chewy. The sweetness could be toned down, and the matcha flavor could be more pronounced.

I visited this place after watching Natu's Tokyo travel YouTube video and craving for their Kakegawa matcha crème brûlée. The top was nicely caramelized, crispy and sweet. As I dug in, the matcha cream had a nice matcha flavor and just the right amount of sweetness. It was delicious.

Near Asakusa Temple, there is a shop where you can enjoy traditional Japanese sweets. I visited on a Sunday afternoon and there was a line, but I was able to get inside in less than 20 minutes. The crepe with matcha-flavored batter and caramel in the middle had a crispy texture, which paired perfectly with the whipped cream inside. I would love to visit again when I come back to Asakusa.

I went to try the famous matcha brulee crepe. The matcha flavor was rich, the brulee was nicely burnt, and the crepe was chewy and delicious. The interior of the shop and the packaging of the crepe had a mix of traditional Japanese and modern chic styles.

I used the cafe with a concrete interior and a wooden frame entrance that gave me a delicious feeling. Sweet potato crepe for 990 yen and orange juice for 390 yen. The crepe had ice cream inside with whipped cream, sweet potato, and a cracker-like texture, allowing me to enjoy various flavors. Thank you for the meal.

I am Mr. Shibata from Asakusa Chaya Tabane. I couldn't resist trying the Kakegawa matcha creme brulee. It was not too sweet and had ice cream and strawberries inside. I had it right after lunch, but sweets really do go to a separate stomach. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

Despite always having long lines, there was no line due to the rain! I got the matcha brulee crepe. The surface was crispy, with a refined sweetness. As you keep eating, there's also ice cream and pie inside! It's delicious, but a bit pricey. Still, it's a fun experience for foodies!

During the daytime at GW, there was a long line, so I gave up. When I passed by around 6 pm, I was able to enter without waiting. The chewy matcha crepe was excellent. The whipped cream was not too sweet, which was great. The price of 990 yen for a crepe is high, but it was really delicious. (They had a 50 yen discount for following them on Instagram). I will definitely go back when I visit Asakusa again.

It was a crepe covered in matcha. It was my first time in Asakusa, and this shop had a long line that was easy to spot. It was during Golden Week, but it seemed like there were always at least 10 people waiting. You line up first to pay, and when you do, you can peek into the kitchen from the payment window and see how the crepes are made. I'm not sure if it's because of their service or the layout of the shop, but it was interesting. The taste was really delicious. It was pretty much what I expected, but it was the taste I was looking for. The top surface in the photo looks brownish like caramel, and at first bite, I thought I was eating pudding.

The Gotemba Matcha Brulee was exquisite! The matcha was authentically bittersweet, and the combination of matcha cream, whipped cream, matcha ice cream, pie, and strawberry confit was incredibly innovative! The variety of flavors in one brulee guarantees a repeat visit!

Kakegawa Matcha Brulee ¥990: Matcha crepe, matcha cream, whipped cream, matcha ice cream, berries, cookies. The matcha flavor is intense with a strong bitterness, and it's quite subtly sweet. The whipped cream is just slightly sweet. It's a crepe with a very adult taste. It's a bit small and can be eaten quickly. The crepe is thin and chewy, but be careful as it tears easily.

A specialty Japanese crepe shop where you can enjoy Matcha Brulee Crepe. They use carefully selected Kagoshima matcha, creating a perfect blend of the deep flavor of matcha and the rich aroma of custard brulee. Inside, there is plenty of sweet whipped cream for those with a sweet tooth. The top part is warm, while the bottom part is cold, allowing you to enjoy the difference in taste due to the temperature change.

I visited Asakusa Chaya Tabaneshi, a popular spot with long lines every day, just before closing in the evening and waited about 20 minutes to order. I tried two items this time, both filled to the brim. The Kakegawa matcha brulee parfait has a chewy texture with Kakegawa matcha blended in. The surface is bruleed, and underneath is a custard with a moderate sweetness of Kakegawa matcha, hiding matcha ice cream and strawberry compote. The Kakegawa matcha tiramisu has the same brulee base with plenty of mascarpone cream, matcha ice cream, cookies, and raspberries for a refreshing finish. Both were delicious!

One of the shops in Asakusa that stays open late. I felt like having dessert after dinner and decided to visit. It was a Saturday night and quite crowded, so I waited for about 20 minutes. The shop has seating space, which was very convenient. I ordered tiramisu and creme brulee, and they were delicious with a bittersweet matcha cream and sweet whipped cream. It's a must-try for matcha lovers. As I ate, I found crackers or cookies inside each dessert, adding a nice texture to enjoy!

I made a detour on my way back from a friend's shop. It was very crowded, but since I had some time, I decided to wait in line. Finally, when it was my turn, I paid at the register and the staff asked me to follow them on Instagram, giving me a 50 yen discount. It took over 30 minutes to wait in line and another 10 minutes to get a seat. They make each item one by one, so it might be better to wait for at least an hour when it's busy. They called my order number on the receipt and checked it before handing me the items. The matcha brulee had a crispy caramel on top, followed by whipped cream, matcha ice cream, chewy crepe, crispy pie crust, and strawberry jam underneath. The flavors changed throughout, so it was never boring. Ordering it with green tea was a good choice. Thank you for the meal.
