I like simple yet carefully made standing gourmet dishes that are affordable, like something you could eat for a small price. I bought a 500 yen ticket for the Kakiage Tempura Soba at the ticket machine, and inside the shop, there is a kitchen on the left side of the entrance, counter seats facing away from the kitchen on the right side, and two-person table seats in the back. The bright atmosphere is very similar to Doutor. The customers were a mix of male and female university students and a solo woman, similar to those having lunch at Doutor. As for the soba itself... there is nothing particularly special to note... if anything, the broth is on the sweeter and saltier side. Seeing the plastic case stacked with fried food inside the kitchen, it seems like the fried food is delivered from a central kitchen. It is convenient when using the Seibu Ikebukuro Line, but the prices are a bit high, and there is not much value in making a special trip to visit the Ekimae. Overall, it was a decent meal.
