I happened to come across this cozy little cafe near Asagaya while out for a stroll. The sign outside said "Night Bar & Night Cafe," and I was drawn in by the menu featuring galettes. It was around 8 p.m. on a holiday, and there were a few customers, including solo diners, inside. The atmosphere was like a hidden gem, with a chic and calming ambiance. The warm lighting and nostalgic music playing from a mini TV made it a soothing place to be. The interior was cute and stylish, and I thought it would be a nice spot to visit alone if it were in my neighborhood. I ordered the following items: Butter and Sugar Galette - 550 yen Salted Butter Caramel Galette - 550 yen Black Tea Latte - 450 yen Caramel Cafe Latte - 500 yen The galettes, made fresh to order, filled the air with a sweet aroma that got me excited even before taking a bite. The taste was light and crispy, with a hint of buttery sweetness. The texture of the sugar sprinkled on top added a nice crunch. The galette was just the right thickness, not too thin or too thick, showing the care put into making each one. The simple toppings complemented the delicious taste of the dough, making me want to keep eating. The Salted Butter Caramel Galette was also delicious, with a sweet and rich flavor. The foam on the Caramel Cafe Latte was delicate, and the caramel flavor was subtle. The slight bitterness of the coffee paired well with the galette. This place offers both a night cafe and a night bar experience. They have a wide selection of drinks, and the small bites and soups looked appetizing. The atmosphere and the staff were great, so I definitely want to come back again sometime.

■ I revisited Night Cafe Popot in Asagaya to enjoy some delicious galettes (all items for 550 yen) and iced coffee (450 yen) for a relaxing time. ■ If you order between 18:00 and 21:00, you get 200 yen off on galettes, so we visited around 18:30. ■ I ordered the marmalade galette with ice cream on top (100 yen extra) and iced coffee, while my friend ordered the salted butter caramel galette with ice cream and coffee. ■ The music this time was J-Hip Hop and J-Pop, a nice change from the previous night's Showa pop songs. ■ The cozy atmosphere with soft lighting and cat paintings on the walls made it a comfortable place to hang out. ■ The galettes are made from scratch when you order, which adds to their authenticity. ■ We shared and tasted each other's galettes, and the recommended salted butter caramel galette was incredibly delicious with its buttery and slightly bitter caramel sauce on a warm galette. ■ We also enjoyed changing the flavors by adding the ice cream, which was cut into thirds. ■ The hot coffee, served in a small cup, paired perfectly with the galettes. ■ They also have other cafe dishes like Tokyo borscht on the menu. ■ The restaurant is located along Nakasugi Street, a bit of a walk from Asagaya Station North Exit, but it's easy to find and definitely worth a visit. ★★★

■ To the cafe bar "Popotto" introduced as a place where you can have a night cafe. ■ On the 26th (Monday) at 19:50, after work, even though dinner was ready at home, I wanted something sweet and tea, so I went with a friend. ■ It was lucky that the place was empty probably because it was the night after Christmas. ■ The interior of the place had counter seats with cat illustrations and a nice retro Showa atmosphere overall. ■ First, we ordered a tea latte for 450 yen, a cafe latte for 450 yen, and the famous gallette (salted butter caramel) for 550 yen. ■ As mentioned in the follower's review, the staff made the gallette dough and salted butter caramel sauce after we ordered. ■ Throughout, nostalgic Showa pop songs and videos played from speakers and a retro TV, making the atmosphere fun and cozy. ■ It took about 12 minutes for the gallette and drinks to be served simultaneously. ■ The gallette dough was moist and chewy, simply delicious. The salted butter caramel sauce had a perfect balance of bitter caramel and butter, not overly sweet. ■ The tea latte used Earl Grey tea leaves, giving it a wonderful aroma. ■ Despite being so delicious and meticulously made, the pricing was very reasonable. I predict it would be crowded on regular days, but I will definitely go back again.

I went to try the galettes in Asagaya. The shop is basically like a bar. They offer sweet dessert galettes called "sugar galette." They don't have savory galettes like cheese or ham. I tried the chocolate topping with ice cream. The best part was that the dough was really delicious. It's simple but unique, hot and chewy. It's like eating freshly baked cookies. Personally, I thought it was very delicious and I would like to go back. I think it's a good place for couples too.

I walked from Asagaya to Saginomiya and saw a sign that said "Night Cafe," so my non-drinking colleague and I decided to check it out. The place had only 7 counter seats and many female customers who seemed to be having a good time. They offered various homemade fruit liqueurs for 600 yen each, and I tried the ginger liqueur on the rocks. It was infused with peeled ginger in rum, and although it still felt a bit strong, I wonder if it will mellow out with time. We also ordered the Thai-style curry for dinner, which seemed to be reheated rice but the curry was homemade. It had a slow-building spiciness that didn't linger too long, leaving a clean and spicy taste. It felt more like a bar than a cafe, with snack options priced at 250 or 350 yen, making it a nice place to stop by for a drink. Thank you for the meal! ^^

The galette was delicious not only at night but also during the day! It's nice to relax at Popot on a holiday afternoon! Recently, "popo-ru" is a popular word instead of "tapi-ru"!
