On December 28, 2022 (Wednesday) from 18:40 in Shinjuku Station, it takes about 25 minutes on foot. I went with my colleagues from work to say thank you for the hard work. Since it was the end of the year, there weren't many customers in the store, which is unusual for a popular place. It took about 5 minutes from ordering to get the fried potatoes, and then about 10 minutes for the hamburger to arrive. The hamburger was incredibly delicious. The crispy, well-baked buns had a unique texture. The hamburger patty was tender and very juicy. The teriyaki sauce was also really delicious. It was a delightful taste with lettuce, tomato, bacon, egg, avocado, and more all coming together in each bite. I couldn't take a good picture of the hamburger. People who can take pictures of hamburgers that look even more delicious are amazing. - Bacon Egg Burger: 1,300 yen - Topping: Maribo Cheese 150 yen - Topping: Avocado 150 yen - Fried Potatoes: 400 yen - Cola: 350 yen The staff at the restaurant were very friendly. I definitely want to go eat there again. ✨

The entrance was closed due to a large order, but I decided to wait. Even though they were understaffed, the staff managed to provide good service. I tried the Awaji Island Burger for the first time and it was delicious! I wondered what exactly makes it an Awaji Island Burger as I quickly finished it. I really loved it! They don't offer burger sets, so you can customize your order with options like fries or fried onions. The fried potatoes are made from different types of potatoes depending on the season. The burger was a bit large, but the taste was so good that I ended up overeating. There are several branches of this restaurant, so if there is one nearby, I would love to visit again!

When it comes to Awaji Island in Hyogo Prefecture, the sweet and soft "onions" are famous. I remember being impressed by the delicious hamburger I had when I visited Awaji Island, which was generously filled with these onions. This is a restaurant chain that operates nationwide, with a menu mainly focused on gourmet burgers. This time, I ordered their signature "Awaji Island Burger (950 yen including tax)". The standout feature was not the onions, but the buns, which had a crispy texture that surprised me. Needless to say, this burger was delicious! [Visit Date] Tuesday (Cloudy) / 12:30 PM [Queue Status] at the front * Waiting time: 7 minutes [Amount Spent] 1,700 yen [Service Time] Approximately 16 minutes (for the burger)

I found a place nearby where I could have a meal alone and decided to visit. It was my first time, but I was intrigued by "Maripochi's" and chose the "Maripochi's Burger" with avocado topping. For a side dish, I selected the "Soup of the Day," which turned out to be a creamy and sweet "Onion Soup." The Maripochi's Burger was so voluminous that I thought my jaw might dislocate! It was juicy and delicious, with sweet and tasty vegetables and crispy Maripochi's. I really enjoyed this kind of hamburger. The counter seats made it easy for solo diners to enter, which was also great!

I used it during my work break. The shop is located in Nishi-Shinjuku, a bit far from the station, giving off a hidden gem vibe. I ordered a cheddar cheeseburger, fries, and a cola from the ticket machine near the entrance. There are counter seats and table seats, and this time I was seated at the counter. From the counter seats, you can watch the staff cooking, hear the sizzling sounds and smell, and watch them wrapping the burgers, creating a lively atmosphere. Also, the complimentary water at the table is infused with lemon, a nice touch for the hot season! It took about 8 minutes for my order to be ready. It's hard to convey in photos, but this burger is quite large. The buns are fluffy but crispy on the outside, providing a fun texture, and the patty is juicy and meaty! The vegetables like lettuce, tomato, and onion are fresh, and the cheese is rich. The burger alone was quite filling. The fries were said to be different daily, and this time it was salted fries. They had a slight sweetness, were crispy on the outside, and fluffy on the inside, completely to my liking. The cola was cold and paired well with the burger and fries! By the time I finished eating, I was completely full. The satisfaction level was quite high, so I highly recommend this place. Thank you for the meal!

I visited the restaurant at night. It had a layout similar to a ramen shop at the foot of a group of high-rise buildings. I ordered beer and a cheeseburger from a vending machine. The patty was crispy with a unique texture, not too big in size, just right like a Mos Burger. I recommend eating it fresh instead of using delivery services like Uber.

Awaji Island Burger (950 yen) Visited at 3.41 Nishi-Shinjuku Gochome while exploring lunch options. Currently obsessed with hamburger fever. Visited at 12:21 on a weekday. 3 groups of customers (4 people) already there, followed by 2 groups of customers (4 people). Burger arrived at 12:34. Discovered this hamburger restaurant through a search. A chain originating from western Japan. The star of the Awaji Island Burger is not the patty, but the sweet Awaji onions. The entrance is tucked away at the back of the building on the 1st floor, quietly situated. The interior is clean, with a counter and tables for group customers at the back. - During lunch hours, they serve a complimentary mini soup, and on this day it was Awaji onion soup. The sweet onions were rich and delicious, truly the highlight of the soup. - The hamburger: The buns were crispy and well-toasted, with a fragrant char. It was too hot to hold. The onions were placed on top of the patty with the sauce, enhancing the sweetness and stimulating the appetite. The balance of the fragrant buns, the acidity of the tomato, and the umami of the meat was delicious. While it is a chain restaurant, the skill of the chef here may also play a significant role. Thank you for the meal.

When I went deep into a small building, I found a quiet little shop. The interior was calm with muted colors and lighting, not like a regular burger joint! It was my first time trying it, so I ordered the normal Awaji Island burger. When I placed my order, the chef started grilling the vegetables and patty on the hot plate. During the process, they served a small soup with the sweetness of Awaji Island onions. It was delicious, so I had high hopes for the burger! Finally, the burger was ready. It was too wide for a woman to take a bite in one go! But that was also a luxury. I didn't give up and took a bite... I could taste the sweetness of the onions and other vegetables! The patty also had a great meaty flavor. I was surprised to find that the bottom of the buns was fluffy. The top buns were crispy from being grilled on the hot plate! The texture was enjoyable. Next time, I want to try a different type of burger with local beer. Thank you for the delicious meal!

I went to Shinjuku Nishi and used it for lunch. With 4 people, it was nice to use the room-like private room in the back. There were two small 3-person tables and one 2-person table. It can seat up to 8 people. I had the basic Awaji burger with mozzarella cheese and potatoes. The potatoes were delicious, made with Kitakata Akari potatoes, crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. The onion soup that came with it was excellent, with a sweet taste from the onions. The burger was substantial and satisfying. I prefer sautéed onions over raw onions. The mozzarella cheese was mild, allowing the flavor of the meat to shine. The sauce had a Worcestershire-like flavor. Be careful as the tomatoes and lettuce tend to slide around while eating. The buns were crispy on the outside and regular-sized. It was delicious.

★Ordered menu: Cheddar Cheese Burger 1,100 yen, Awaji Island Onion Rings 500 yen ★Other menu options: Awaji Island Burger 950 yen, Maribo Cheese Burger 1,100 yen, Gorgonzola Avocado Burger 1,300 yen ★Taste: The patty is thick, juicy, and delicious, especially the Awaji Island onions are sweet and exquisite. The salt used is Awaji Island seaweed salt, which enhances the flavors of tomato, meat, lettuce, and everything else. ★The onion rings are surprisingly sweet and large among all the onions I have seen before. ★The restaurant is run by a French chef who served as the head chef at Park Hyatt Tokyo for 20 years. The menu is based on the "Awaji Island Burger" and offers various cheese burgers such as Cheddar, Maribo, and Mozzarella. ★There are counter seats surrounding the kitchen, a few table seats with doors at the back, and signatures written on the walls. I also left my signature, so be sure to find it and have a laugh! 😄

It was delicious, but overall I felt that it was a bit expensive. It didn't leave a strong impression on me. The onion soup was sweet, but I felt it lacked saltiness. I wished they had provided condiments on the table so I could adjust the flavor. There were no potatoes or drinks, and while the taste was okay, I felt it was a bit overpriced.

The burger and fries at this upscale restaurant were satisfying in both taste and quality. The buns were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The fries were deliciously sweet. The restaurant is a bit away from Shinjuku, so it was not crowded and we were able to get in without waiting during the long weekend lunchtime.

Today's lunch was at "Awajishima Burger Nishi-Shinjuku Store," located a 5-minute walk from Tochomae Station. The main feature of Awajishima Burger is not the meat, but the sweet onions from Awaji Island. Their specialty is the "Cheddar Cheese Burger" with avocado topping for an additional ¥150. During lunchtime, they also serve onion soup. The burger was filled with plenty of Awaji Island onions, and the patty was juicy. The sweetness of the onions was delicious, and the combination with the cheese and avocado was excellent. The "Onion Rings" were crispy and generously sized, with a sweet onion flavor. These were the best onion rings I've ever had, thanks to the Awaji Island onions. I will definitely be coming back for more. Awajishima Burger Nishi-Shinjuku Store is located at 6-12-16 Nishi-Shinjuku, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo. A hamburger shop a short walk from Nishi-Shinjuku! It has a hidden feel, with the entrance at the back of a building. First, you choose your hamburger at the ticket machine, then select your toppings. There are many topping options, with 5 types of cheese available! I chose the Awaji Island Burger with Maribor cheese and egg as toppings. I requested the egg to be cooked halfway. My friend chose mozzarella cheese and egg as toppings. We also ordered Awaji Island beer, which piqued our interest. What is Island Lemon Beer?! We ordered that too. Today's potato fries (made from Inca's Awakening and Baron potatoes) and onion rings were also ordered. After ordering, we sat at the counter and waited for our food to be ready. It was exciting to see them being made right in front of us. We started with a toast with beer, which was easy to drink and had a fresh lemon flavor. The potato fries were crispy, and you could really taste the potatoes. The Awaji Island Burger was huge and packed with ingredients. The onions were sweet and delicious. It was a bit of a challenge to eat because it was so big, but very satisfying! The Maribor cheese was firm with a nutty flavor. If you like a strong cheese taste, I recommend it. And the onion rings were huge! Surprisingly big, but you could still taste the onions, and they were delicious. It has a hidden feel, but the owner is friendly, creating a cozy atmosphere. I recommend checking it out. It might get crowded during lunchtime, but it's a relaxed atmosphere at night, perfect for enjoying beer and hamburgers.

Located in a building a few minutes' walk from Nishi-Shinjuku-Gochome Station, this hamburger joint can be a bit hard to find due to its location deep within a business building. The interior features a counter and tables at the back. Orders are placed using a touch panel system with prepayment, and credit cards are accepted. I ordered the Cheddar Cheese Burger (1,100 yen), which comes with a small onion soup during lunch hours. The burger was very flavorful and satisfying, with crispy buns being a highlight. The sweet lemon water served was a nice touch. Overall, the burger had a good amount of filling and was enjoyable.

The star of the burgers here is the onion! They use plenty of sweet onions from Awaji Island! Apparently, the owner runs the shop alone... It seems busy during lunch, but you can relax during dinner time. It might be nice to enjoy a burger and toast with Awajibiiru. The Awaji lemon beer was quite surprising, with a subtle lemon aroma and a strong beer taste that lingers. It was a beer with a unique atmosphere that I had never encountered before! I want to try all the Awajibiiru varieties! By the way, the onion rings made with Awaji Island onions were the ultimate delight, so big and delicious! The fries were also amazing!

~~~~~Order~~~~~■Maribou Cheeseburger with Avocado Topping (1,100 yen / 150 yen)■Today's Fried Potatoes with Onion Paste (600 yen)■Shima Lemon Beer (800 yen)■Shima Lemon BeerThis bottle caught my eye among the many local beers from Awaji Island. It has a light and fruity taste with a subtle lemon aroma that makes it enjoyable even for those who don't like beer.■Today's Fried Potatoes with Onion PasteDepending on the day's ingredients, they use a mix of "Inca's Awakening" and "Baron Potatoes." The Inca's Awakening is sweet, while the Baron Potatoes are fluffy and flavorful. The caramelized onions as a sauce on top make it a perfect match with the beer.■Maribou CheeseburgerPickles, lettuce, tomato, patty, onion, cheese, avocado, buns - a tower of happiness that looks like it's about to collapse. This burger highlights the locally sourced onions from Awaji Island, with everything else playing a supporting role to enhance the main ingredient. The buns are crispy with a hint of wheat sweetness, the Maribou cheese adds a chewy texture with a salty kick, the patty is thick and juicy, and the avocado adds richness to the overall flavor. But the star of the show is definitely the sweet and creamy onions that bring everything together. Even if you're not a fan of onions, you must try this burger! It's a memorable experience that showcases the sweetness and depth of flavor of onions. After savoring every bite, I couldn't help but exclaim, "Delicious!" as I left.~~~~~Shop~~~~~The restaurant is located behind Shinjuku Central Park, and it's easy to miss the entrance on the ground floor at first glance. But don't overlook it - you'll regret it! As you open the sturdy door, you'll find a cozy atmosphere reminiscent of a bar, perfect for enjoying a leisurely drink. The owner, who has 8 years of experience as a head chef at a famous five-star hotel, adds to the charm of the place with his warm personality. With both counter and table seating available, it's a welcoming spot for couples and friends to visit. I can't wait to come back, maybe for a picnic in the nearby park when the weather gets warmer.----------------Instagramhttps://www.instagram.com/manamyyy215----------------
You can enjoy a variety of dishes made with onions from Awaji Island such as hamburgers, onion rings, and onion soup, along with a selection of Awaji Island craft beers. I ordered a double patty burger with onion rings, potato with onion sauce, and craft beer. The buns were perfectly toasted, not too crispy or crunchy. The patty was lean with sautéed onions, giving it a soft and juicy texture. Topped with sautéed onions, brown sauce, sliced tomatoes, lettuce, mayonnaise, and finely chopped pickles, the burger was about 15cm tall, making it a bit challenging to bite into, so I used a knife and fork to cut it. The generous use of onions added a delicious sweetness to the burger. The potato pride dish was made with two types of potatoes and onions sautéed in onion sauce, which was very tasty. The onion rings had a crispy and crunchy batter, made by carefully removing the thin skin of the onions and coating them in beer-infused batter. I wish I could have had more of these delicious onion rings. There were five types of craft beers available, and I tried the pale ale, which was not too bitter, had a great foam, and was very easy to drink. The restaurant had a calm counter seating area and tables in the back, with enough space for about ten people. Even though there were only a few customers when I visited, I could tell that the kitchen would get busy once all the seats were filled. I look forward to going back and trying the soup if I get the chance. The fact that the ordering machine had multilingual support was also a plus.
Located in Shinjuku, the Awajishima Burger Nishi-Shinjuku branch is a 5-minute walk from Tocho-mae Station on the Toei Oedo Line, a 10-minute walk from Nishi-Shinjuku Station on the Tokyo Metro Marunouchi Line, and a 13-minute walk from the West Exit of Shinjuku Station. The restaurant has 13 seats (7 counter seats, 6 table seats). I ordered: - Coca-Cola for 350 yen - Today's Fried Potato with Onion Paste for 600 yen - Gorgonzola Avocado Burger for 1300 yen You order using a touch panel system. There is lemon-infused water on the table. I ordered a Coke, and they poured it generously into the glass, which was a nice touch. The Fried Potato side dish with onion paste was crispy and flavorful, with the sweetness and umami of the onion paste enhancing the taste. The main hamburger had a substantial weight to it. The caramelized onions from Awaji were sweet and delicious, making the onion the star rather than the meat. The bun was crispy, and the lettuce added a nice crunch. The soft sweetness of the Gorgonzola paired well with the sauce, making it a satisfying and flavorful burger with a generous portion. I had lunch at a calm restaurant counter. The cheddar cheeseburger was delicious - the lettuce was crisp and the buns were crunchy, creating a great texture! The onion soup they brought out right after I sat down had a gentle flavor that was very satisfying. Thank you for the meal. The onion rings and potato fries also seemed to have a lot of attention to detail and looked delicious, but I couldn't finish them all by myself so I had to give up.
A burger specialty shop located in a small building in Nishi-Shinjuku, quite far from Shinjuku Station. Their specialty is burgers with onions from Awaji Island. I chose the simplest option, the Awaji Island Burger for 950 yen. It comes with lettuce, tomato, onion, and patty, keeping it simple to let the sweetness and flavor of the onion shine through. The patty and buns are cooked perfectly, while the tomato and lettuce are fresh and crisp. It is topped with mayonnaise and a sweet teriyaki mustard sauce. Since I had it for lunch, it also came with a hearty onion soup. It was a satisfying lunch with a generous serving of burger. #TokyoGourmet #TokyoHamburger #ShinjukuGourmet #ShinjukuLunch #ShinjukuHamburger #NishiShinjukuGourmet #NishiShinjukuLunch #NishiShinjukuHamburger #AwajiIslandBurger #WantToConnectWithFoodies #WantToConnectWithBurgerLovers #hamburgerlovers
