Personally, even though Doraemi is not particularly interested in beef, there are many names and branches mentioned, and when it comes to beef, the famous shabu-shabu and sukiyaki restaurant of Yawazawa Meat is a must-visit place. This place allows for a leisurely dining experience without worrying about the time, and reservations can be made on the same day. While Jumbo Yakiniku is a well-known restaurant, the lunch options at Yawazawa, such as their hamburgers, are also popular. On this day, despite being cold from the early morning (returning from golf in Oarai, Ibaraki), due to a nonsensical diversion by a companion, I was taken on foot to the burnt ruins of my alma mater (with no interest or school spirit). Angry and hungry, I quickly (and playfully) urged my companion to this place. Moving on to the main topic, upon entering the restaurant, the first thing you see is the meat showcase. Looking up, you will see wooden triangular pyramids lined up at the ceiling, reminiscent of ISSEY MIYAKE's BAO BAO, giving a modern and sophisticated feel. The open seating arrangement, while exuding a sense of luxury, has a casual vibe akin to a family restaurant, targeting upscale customers, expatriates entertaining guests, and families. While not the typical choice for Doraemi, it is still an interesting place to visit. For this first visit, I left the ordering to my food-indifferent companion and opted for the shabu-shabu course with some additional a la carte dishes. The appetizers were elegant and delicious, setting high expectations for the meal. The shabu-shabu featuring premium beef was of excellent quality, with a refined broth and creatively cut carrot slices. The assorted salads, simmered conger eel, and beef fillet and avocado with wasabi soy sauce were all tasty, despite the soy sauce being a bit too salty. The meal was rounded off with a satisfying ramen dish, leaving me wanting to come back for more. Overall, the food quality and atmosphere were top-notch, making it a place worth revisiting. Thank you for the wonderful meal!
