I went to a Japanese restaurant called KAN at Ichijiriohashi. There is no sign, so you need to be careful not to pass by. This was my second visit since two months ago. I arrived at 5:10 PM and there was one other group of customers. The restaurant has a calm and adult atmosphere with all counter seats. The staff members are energetic and their voices fill the air. The well-organized kitchen gives the impression that good dishes are born from there. The menu for dishes, separate menu for dishes, and today's recommendations were available. I chose the Harvest Saison craft beer (1,400 yen) from Kamakura as my first drink. The appetizers included clam soup and shiitake mushrooms. I switched to sake after the beer, trying four different types. The food included scallop, turnip, and pear salad, yellowtail, assorted appetizers, simmered goose liver, fried oysters, seared cod roe, and a hot pot rice dish with chicken and vegetables. The meal ended with a delicious rum raisin ice cream monaka. The total cost for one person was around 10,000 yen. The experience at this wonderful Japanese restaurant was truly enjoyable.

My wife wanted to eat conger eel, and the conger eel sashimi was perfect. It was thick and delicious. The salad, sesame-covered mackerel sashimi, and beef skewers were also delicious. Especially the salad with fresh vegetables was tasty. Lastly, the seasonal conger eel and corn clay pot rice was full of seasonal flavors. It was also delicious, and you can take leftovers home if you can't finish it. The lineup of seasonal dishes was great, with a wide variety of drinks available. It seems fun to visit again in a different season.

I used this restaurant for a farewell party with former colleagues! Originally, we were supposed to visit the Shibuya Nakamura, which is affiliated with this restaurant, but we ended up here instead! This was my second visit. We walked from Ikejiri-Ohashi along the Meguro River towards Nakameguro. The atmosphere from the outside is already sexy, haha, but the ambiance is really great! We were a group of four, so we sat at the corner of the counter. They serve seasonal Japanese cuisine tailored to the season! They divided the portions for four people and the service was fantastic! We ate a lot, drank, and had a great time with wonderful service. We walked back home to Sangenjaya feeling a bit tipsy. Thank you for the delicious meal!

I have been visiting this restaurant for over 20 years. One of my favorite dishes is the "jako negi tofu," which is a must-try. However, this time, the impact of the hot pot was impressive. It was filled with salmon and bamboo shoots, and I finished it in no time! Although I feel like the price has gone up a bit, it is still delicious.

KAN in Higashiyama, a calm and relaxed atmosphere, was chosen by a group of 7 colleagues to celebrate a long break. We sat around the counter closest to the kitchen and enjoyed a leisurely course meal. I tend to order sake I haven't tried before, and this day was no exception. I may have overindulged a bit, skipping some menu items, but it was a fun and enjoyable time. The dishes were beautifully prepared with gentle yet flavorful dashi and seasonings. While the quality and prices cater more towards adults, it's also a great place to enjoy a la carte dining. The open kitchen allowed us to converse while the professional staff efficiently prepared our meals. Fantastic experience. Will definitely visit again.

FAIRGROUND, which also operates "Aji no Nakamura," is a standalone restaurant located in Meguro Higashiyama. Each menu item features a gentle flavor that highlights the umami and texture of the ingredients. The dishes are elegantly presented with attention to detail, creating a sophisticated and colorful menu. The menu is designed like a scroll, making it enjoyable to unfold and explore. Dishes like "Rhubarb and Fig with Walnut Dressing" showcase creativity and individuality in the layering of ingredients, keeping things interesting. The spacious counter and open kitchen provide a comfortable setting to enjoy a leisurely and refined dining experience for adults.

It was around 8:30 on Sunday, and the restaurant was almost full of customers. The menu was quite extensive, and I had a hard time choosing, but everything I tried had a sophisticated and delicious taste. The appetizers included clam soup, homemade tofu, octopus sashimi, grilled red pepper, vinegared purple wisteria, meatball with spicy cod roe, rice ball, melon sherbet. The wine selection included French Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir by the glass. The main dish seemed to be clay pot rice, but I skipped it due to my level of hunger that day. I would like to try it next time.

When heading towards Nakameguro from Ikejiri-Ohashi, there are stylish and nice atmosphere shops along the Meguro River. Inside the shop, there are two counters where you can see the chefs cooking. The dishes that come out are all carefully made with gentle seasoning. I think the creative Japanese cuisine here is top class in terms of price and atmosphere. It is recommended for a special moment with loved ones. Thank you for the meal.

A Japanese restaurant located less than 10 minutes on foot from Ikejiri Ohashi Station. There is an I-shaped counter and a U-shaped counter. The inside of the store was dimly lit, the staff were cool and stylish, and the atmosphere was fantastic. It seems like a great place for a date! The food is prepared right in front of you, which is fun to watch. I tried a black tea highball for the first time and it was delicious with the scent of Earl Gray. There is a wide variety of dishes from fish to meat, making it hard to choose. Everything is so delicious that it's breathtaking. The silver cod was especially tasty. They even wrapped up the rice I couldn't finish to take home. The menu changes with the seasons, so I definitely want to go back.

This place has become quite popular, even though I don't visit the Ikejiri Ohashi area often. Among the trendy shops, this restaurant attracts a constant stream of visitors. We sat at the table closest to the entrance, but the atmosphere in the back was also wonderful. I would like to come back next time with a small group and spend some leisurely time here. ♩

The restaurants in the Nakamura group, such as Namiki Bridge, serve delicious creative Japanese cuisine. During the cherry blossom season, they offered a limited-time course menu which included beautifully arranged chirashi sushi, steamed white fish, grilled bamboo shoots, sea bream dashi roll cabbage, seasonal side dishes, wagyu sukiyaki with blowfish and rapeseed blossoms, and a delicious clay pot rice. The additional order of blowfish tempura rice in the clay pot was also amazing. There were still many dishes I wanted to try, so I would like to visit again to try their a la carte menu next time.

I visited a sophisticated Japanese restaurant along the Meguro River for a New Year's party. The atmosphere was great with a visible counter from the outside. However, as I entered the restaurant, I discovered a secluded corner in the shape of a "C" where the counter was not visible from the outside. It had a calming vibe, almost like a hearth. It was a place where I could relax and enjoy the delicious food and drinks, making it clear why it was so popular. The place quickly filled up with customers. I couldn't help but burst into laughter when familiar faces appeared in the supposedly hidden corner. It seems I couldn't hide after all (laughs). I wanted to enjoy some sake, so I left the food selection to the chef and enjoyed a variety of small dishes. I believe that people who enjoy drinking can be divided into two groups: those who eat heartily and those who eat less. I belong to the latter group as I just want to keep drinking forever. As long as there are a few appetizers, I'm satisfied. However, the hot pot rice and other dishes for the finale looked delicious, so I recommend ordering them for those who enjoy eating more. The atmosphere was sophisticated, and the overall age group was slightly older, allowing for a calm and enjoyable time. With the Meguro River right in front of us, I'm sure it will be beautiful during cherry blossom season. I would love to visit again at that time. Thank you for the wonderful meal ♡

I was craving corn pot rice and I found this restaurant while searching for various places. The seasonal ingredients used in the pot rice seem to be popular. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very nice. I sat at the counter and watched the cooking process while waiting for the food. Every dish was delicious and well-presented. The croquette with sauce and egg was amazing, with a runny egg, sweet and savory sauce, and crispy coating. The tsukune was a creative dish, with a crispy rice coating that was reminiscent of grilled rice balls, giving it an interesting texture. And finally, the corn and fish (I forgot the name) tempura pot rice that I was looking for. It was filled with plenty of corn and tasted delicious. The corn had a sweet and delicious flavor. I wish it was paired with a different protein instead of fish, but it was still tasty. My craving for summer corn pot rice was satisfied, and I left the restaurant feeling very satisfied. I would love to visit again next summer.

Dinner at KAN:
- Bonito sashimi ¥1600
- Red squid with mountain wasabi ¥1400
- Grilled round eggplant with Shima miso and hojiso ¥1300
- Shiretoko chicken spicy fried ¥1250
- Jishirazu and corn rice in a clay pot ¥6500
- Miso soup ¥350
Located near Ikejiri-Ohashi Station, KAN is a hidden gem of a Japanese restaurant with no sign outside. It is affiliated with the Namiaki Nakamura group and offers creative Japanese cuisine. The atmosphere is intimate and alluring, with a single wooden counter and dim lighting. I visited on a whim in early July and was impressed by the seasonal menu and quality of the dishes. We ordered a variety of dishes, including bonito and red squid sashimi, grilled eggplant with Shima miso, spicy fried Shiretoko chicken, and the recommended clay pot rice with Jishirazu and corn. The flavors were outstanding, and we couldn't resist ordering seconds of the delicious rice. The bill came to around ¥16500 for two people, but the experience was well worth it. I highly recommend KAN for those who appreciate creative Japanese cuisine and a unique dining atmosphere.

I love the atmosphere of this restaurant and I often visit. The entrance is glass, and as soon as customers reach the entrance, a staff member rushes over to open the door and welcomes them with a loud "Welcome!" However, on this day, no staff member went to the entrance to open the door for me or any other customers. I guess one of the staff members must have been off today.

The Meguro River along the cherry blossom season is bustling with many people, and nearby restaurants are fully booked. There is a restaurant along the Meguro River where you can see the full bloom of cherry blossoms from inside the restaurant. However, contrary to expectations, the weather turned into a midwinter-like cold, preventing the cherry blossoms from blooming. The interior of the restaurant is designed with only counter seats, attracting those who love counter seating. The atmosphere is just right for the writer as well.
Ordered items:
- Fruit Tomato 500 yen
- Grilled Sawara with salt 2200 yen
- Assorted pickles 850 yen
- Assorted sashimi 1750 yen
- Grilled Japanese beef hormone with garlic 1500 yen
- Bamboo shoots and shrimp shinjo 1500 yen
- Sukiyaki croquette 600 yen
The best way to describe this restaurant is as a stylish izakaya. You can enjoy a variety of dishes that change with the seasons in an a la carte format. On this day, the menu was somewhat limited due to the influence of the coronavirus, but it was still enjoyable. Each dish is shared in advance for the number of people, making it easy to eat. It is recommended as a place to enjoy sake while looking at the calm scenery.

Quietly standing along the Meguro River is a popular Japanese restaurant in Ikejiri Ohashi. It is a sister store of Namikibashi Nakamura and the owner used to be the manager here before running the famous izakaya "Kotaro" in Shibuya. The spacious counter offers a variety of dishes influenced by the owner's experience, and all of them are excellent. The selection of drinks is also intriguing, making it easy to indulge. Everything here is stylish and chic. Below is the order:
- Appetizer (clam soup, hot spring tofu)
- Sashimi (tuna from Iki, grilled saury from Chiba, red snapper from Awaji)
- Cream cheese with Iburi smoked cheese from Akita
- Sukiyaki croquette with egg yolk sauce
- Chicken meatball skewers (wrapped in rice, with sauce and black shichimi pepper from Goro's)
- Warabi fern with dried pufferfish flakes
- Tempura of wild vegetable sprouts from Gunma
- Homemade seared mentaiko
- Rice ball with shredded dried fish and sansho pepper.

I had been curious about this place for a while, so I finally went to this restaurant along the Meguro River near Ikejiri Ohashi. The exterior is lovely and the interior is also calming and nice. We started with a draft beer and then tried various types of sake. I particularly liked the "Koeikiku" from Saga. The dishes included a small sushi appetizer, meatballs with a hint of matsutake aroma, takoyaki made with mochi and sweet potato, and crispy-scaled "amadai" fish, which was a hit. Personally, I can't do without ankimo when drinking sake. It was a place where you can enjoy creatively delicious Japanese cuisine in a relaxed atmosphere. Thank you for the meal.

About 10 years ago, I used to pass by this restaurant often. I had always been curious about it since then, but never had the chance to visit. This time, when I ran into a friend from those wandering days in the neighborhood, I decided to finally come here. And I'm glad I did! The food, atmosphere, and service were all excellent. The squid sashimi was meticulously prepared and delicious, one even came as a piece of nigiri. The duck and burdock salad was also amazing, with high-quality ingredients like new onions and spring cabbage. There was a variety of drinks to enjoy as well. They even seared some dishes right in front of us, making the dining experience more enjoyable. The service was also very polite and attentive.
