Located at the entrance of Denboin-dori Street, near the Asakusa 2-chome intersection, is a bar attached to Nakamuraya. Despite its narrow entrance, the bar has around 20 seats, including counter seats. It is open for lunch on Saturdays (from 1 pm). The homemade tapas here are surprisingly delicious.
Now, let's continue exploring Asakusa. After lunch, we still have over 2 hours until the meeting time, so let's visit another place. (* ̄ー ̄) Since horse racing didn't go well.
This place is located on a side street near Senso-ji Temple, at the entrance of Denboin-dori Street. At the corner entrance, there is a deli or bakery, and further inside towards Senso-ji Temple, there is a sliding door with a view of prosciutto. Upon entering, I found the depth of the place to be quite surprising, with a few other customers already seated. I decided to start with a glass of Cava (760 yen), which seemed to vary daily. The Cava I had that day was called "Robel," with a light and refreshing taste, yet with a noticeable presence in the aftertaste.
There is a variety of Japanese and Western dishes available, as well as a wide selection of drinks including beer, sake, and more. Let's lean towards Spain since I started with Cava. I tried the Chicken Liver Pate (650 yen) which was smooth with a mild flavor, served with mustard and crispy baguette. It was not listed on the menu, but it was homemade. The generous portion and taste exceeded the price.
I also ordered the Baked Potato Salad (500 yen), which was served in a hot pot and was rich in cheese and ham. The texture was smooth, and the baguette from the previous dish paired well with it. I indulged in a second drink, Sherry, which was enjoyable at the moment but left me feeling a bit tipsy after leaving the restaurant.
Overall, the experience was comfortable and satisfying, with a total cost of around 2600 yen for two drinks and two dishes.
