On Sunday, we walked in before 6:00 PM without a reservation and were able to get a table easily. After finishing work at an event, there were three of us and we ordered bean sprout namul, kimchi, chanja, kai nomi, horumon trio, negi-yaki, and beef tongue x2. The namul was delicious, the kimchi was not bad, the chanja and kai nomi were average, and the negi-yaki beef tongue was really good - cooked on one side only, medium rare, with lots of negi. The horumon was as expected, and we added harami to our order. We also had the horumon trio platter. We will definitely come back for the kimchi and the beef tongue. We also had the komutan soup in red (not very spicy) and finished with a half serving of cold noodles, which were pretty average. It was our first time here, and while the food was good, the service was a bit questionable. There were also a few women dining alone at the counter, so maybe it's a welcoming place for solo diners. Unfortunately, we forgot to take many photos this time. Thank you for the meal!

Recently, there are few yakiniku restaurants where I can eat urute, so I am happy that they have it on the menu. My favorites are urute, kutsubera, and seseri. Eating hormone grilled over charcoal is the best, so I visit occasionally.

I enjoyed good value for money and fresh hormone dishes. There was a wide variety of hormone cuts available. The drink selection was also extensive, with a unique black makgeolli that had a sweet hazelnut-like flavor. I want to go back to try the cuts I couldn't eat.

I used to come to this yakiniku restaurant often. It has been a while since I last visited, but the food was still delicious as ever! The chewy maruchou, along with other types of offal, were tasty, but the tongue and harami were also excellent. I couldn't resist ordering a small bowl of rice. And of course, I had to have the cold noodles as well. It was a great meal!

I visited the restaurant around 6 PM on a regular day. It is located up the hill behind Shibuya Police Station, with a coin parking lot next to it. The exterior of the restaurant gives off a traditional vibe, like a classic yakiniku place. Inside, there are counter seats and table seats, creating a lively atmosphere. The Grilled Beef Tongue with Green Onions costs 1200 yen per serving, and it looks delicious when it arrives (we ordered 2 servings by mistake). Thinly sliced beef tongue is topped with plenty of green onions. You may wonder how to grill it, but you simply slide the beef tongue onto the grill with tongs after grilling one side, then fold it with the green onions to eat. The moment it enters your mouth, it's incredibly delicious. The juices from the beef tongue, the flavor of the green onions, and the broth spread throughout your mouth, making you smile with happiness. It's super delicious. There is also a small pot of extra green onions on the side. This dish is healthy yet tasty and you can eat many pieces of it. It was amazing. We also ordered various types of hormone and kalbi, and everything was delicious. We were surprised. We ate a lot without drinking alcohol, and ended with cold noodles. The total cost for two people was around 8000 yen, which is cheap. Delicious! I will definitely come back to eat the Grilled Beef Tongue with Green Onions again. I am full and satisfied. It was the best.

This is a restaurant where you can enjoy charcoal-grilled offal at a reasonable price. I forgot to take a picture, but my favorite is the offal platter with three types of meat (tare, salt) and upper harami. This time, I tried ordering soup for the first time and it was delicious. Casual hormone specialty shop located a short walk from Shibuya Station, along a back alley behind Shibuya Police Station. The exterior has a black wall with a red lantern, and the interior has a casual atmosphere with small table seats lined up along the walls. When you order a draft beer, the mug has red letters saying "You can't talk about hormones without trying our copchan." I personally like this kind of playful restaurant. For appetizers, they have kimchi, chilled tomatoes, and for meat, we ordered negitan, copchan, and harami. The portion size is small, but the variety is quite good. It's a good place for those who want to eat and drink lightly while enjoying an izakaya-like atmosphere. The taste is decent, with no particular concerns, and the cost performance is not bad. Darling and I went to Shibuya for a movie date. We watched "Time Limit - Unknown Shadow" which was released yesterday. I wanted to see it, so I checked and found out it was playing in Shibuya at 9 pm. While booking tickets online, Darling suggested he wanted to eat yakiniku. I searched on Google and showed him a place, which he agreed to. We went to a place where we ordered Sapporo Black Label draft beer and made a toast. The service was not very good, with a young male staff member taking our order without much enthusiasm. The food was served by a young female staff member who remained silent the whole time, even dropping Darling's chopsticks without a word. The grilled beef tongue with leeks was delicious, and a male staff member kindly explained how to eat it. The contrast in service between staff members was noticeable. The beef tongue was thin and fatty, but crispy and tasty. I preferred eating it with leeks. The beef tendon was too soft and had a strong odor. The volume of bean sprout namul was good, and the copchang was a favorite. The upper skirt steak was delicious, and the cold noodles with cucumber vinegar side dish was a pleasant surprise. The chicken had a clean flavor and the noodles had a good texture. When we went to pay, we were surprised with a dessert offering. As we left, a staff member who had been silent the whole time thanked us loudly. Overall, the experience was mixed, with some dishes being delicious while the service varied between staff members.

Weekday visit in June 2020. Located a 5-minute walk from Shibuya Station. I visited for the popular grilled beef tongue with leeks, which had a long line at the meat festival. Menu: Grilled beef tongue with leeks - 1000 yen, Assorted hormone skewers - 1800 yen, Raw cow stomach - 550 yen, Bean sprout namul - 400 yen (free with SNS follow & post), Sansho pepper highball - 680 yen. The atmosphere is like a casual izakaya, easy for solo female diners. The counter seats are a bit cramped, making it hard to cross your legs. The grilled beef tongue was similar to a chain restaurant, but tasted better when folded in half and steamed on both sides. The assorted hormone skewers were average. The highlight was the Sansho pepper highball, the best drink of the day. The staff's attitude was not great, so I left after ordering.

I think it's an independent shop run by someone who used to work at Kameido Hormone. The way they serve and the menu structure are similar. It seems like they became popular for their beef tongue at a meat festival, but where is it delicious? They use frozen beef tongue for convenience, something that any shop can do. It's moderately crowded, so they probably prepare the innards daily. The quality of the meat is just average. I apologize for the harsh criticism, but the low level of customer service from the staff makes the criticism even worse. Are there not many shops at this level in Tokyo? Beef tongue is really sold at supermarkets with the same quality. They just top it with green onions. It's not a unique idea or anything.

We went to pay a New Year's visit to the company and on the way back, we had a New Year's party combined with a meal at this place, Horuichi-san, which is a slightly hidden gem in Shibuya. It's a small restaurant, and since it was a Friday, there happened to be some empty seats, but those who came after us couldn't get in. It seems that reservations are a must. We raised our spirits with a toast, saying let's do our best this year, and ordered some meat. The top 3 popular choices were copchan, negi-shio gyutan, and harami, so we added plenty of vegetables as well. The gyutan that arrived first was covered with green onions, and it seemed like you could eat it rare on one side. This means they have confidence in the quality, which also builds an invisible trust. And these green onions were delicious. I love green onions, so I couldn't get enough of them. The harami that came next was also rare, and the copchan was better cooked through. The chewy texture of the copchan was exquisite. I could have eaten more if I were younger, but the fat content was high, so I was satisfied with just three pieces. We discussed a certain yakiniku restaurant's subscription service while enjoying our drinks and meat, and it was a very satisfying meal. I want to go back again. It's a place I don't want to be widely known, a hidden gem.

I visited this horumon izakaya for the first time at a New Year's party. Located behind the Shibuya Police Station in Shibuya, I didn't have high expectations, but the food turned out to be quite delicious. We started with the negi-tan salt, harami, and horumon. The negi-tan salt was topped with a generous amount of seasoned chopped green onions, with fresh tongue neatly arranged underneath. It was a bit tricky to slide the tongue onto the grill without dropping the onions, but the tongue was tender and incredibly tasty. Eating it with the onions was a delight. Next was the harami, which looked delicious and was of high quality, with a tender texture and strong meaty flavor, especially when paired with the sauce. Putting it on rice made it even more delicious. The harami was also of great quality. The portions were a bit small, so we ended up ordering more and enjoyed it on top of rice. It was delicious. It's been a while since I've found a yakiniku izakaya like this that I truly enjoyed. We ended up eating too much, resulting in a decent bill, but I would definitely like to visit this place again. Here in Tokyo, pass by Shibuya Police on Roppongi Street, turn into the second alley and take a left at the dead end. We had a la carte today. - Negi-tan Shio: Plenty of green onions, grilled on one side. It's quite salty but still delicious. - Inside Skirt with Sauce: A bit tough part of the harami, juicy when chewed. The sauce is quite flavorful. We also had a platter of hormone mix, which was good but not amazing. Grilled meat is definitely the way to go.

This is the moment of bliss~! I think the way you cook the meat is crucial in yakiniku, so it's best to go with someone who is good at grilling meat! Yesterday's buddy was the best meat connoisseur and we had the best conversation with the meat. Sorry, I'm just here to eat, haha. I didn't eat any carbohydrates, so I went all out with alcohol and meat! If I had to say something, it would be great if there were slightly cheaper drinks available, haha. But for now, it was an amazing time!

I visited the restaurant at 7:00 pm on a weekday. I made a reservation the day before, but there were still available seats at 7:00 pm, so I might have been able to walk in without a reservation. However, by 8:00 pm, the restaurant was full and some customers had to give up and leave. The exterior of the restaurant gives off a traditional Japanese charcoal grill vibe. Inside, there are counter seats and table seats, each with a charcoal grill chimney, making the seating a bit cramped. I ordered the Grilled Beef Tongue with Green Onions for 1000 yen, which looked amazing with plenty of green onions on top. They also taught me how to grill it properly, so I felt at ease. It was delicious to eat the rare beef tongue wrapped in green onions. I also ordered the Mixed Offal (serving 2-3 people) for 1850 yen, which had a variety of offal meats beautifully arranged for a fun dining experience. I tried various other offal meats and they were all delicious. I also ordered some lean meat like sirloin and skirt steak, which were also incredibly tasty. Overall, it's a restaurant that I would definitely want to visit again.

Around 10 PM. I felt like having some more drinks and grilled meat, so I searched and found this restaurant. Last order at 11 PM? Closing time at 11 PM? I forgot, but I managed to enter just in time. The recommended menu on the blackboard included "hatsu," thickly sliced and topped with green onions. I carefully grilled the hatsu to avoid overcooking and keeping it tender. One bite. Delicious. No unpleasant smell, good elasticity. Next, I went for the popular menu items. Copchang, a fatty cut, but packed with rich flavor. And then, tan. Lots of green onions. Grilling it lightly to maintain its freshness. Grilled meat is just so good. Even after visiting a few places, good grilled meat is always a treat. It really hit the spot.

A great shop with a very welcoming atmosphere near Shibuya Station. They offer a variety of drinks from highballs and beer to makgeolli. Start with some kimchi and namul. For meat, try the recommended beef tongue today. It has a perfect salty taste and a nice chewy texture! Next, try the kalbi, harami, and harami suji. They are all good, but the kalbi is especially delicious. You can get a free plate of hormone with a coupon, which is a nice bonus. The hormone has a rich and thick taste with a sweet sauce. Finish off with the premium kalbi and harami. Personally, I think the premium kalbi is the better deal. Choose the spicy version of the condiment sauce. It's not too spicy. The real finale is the ramen in a half portion. Refresh your palate with a single strawberry ice cream. The inside of the shop is very smoky, and my eyes were irritated and couldn't be opened several times. It's very affordable, and it's nice to have this kind of experience once in a while!
