When the alert for low battery on my iPhone popped up, I realized it was time to get the battery replaced. I've been using iPhones since the 3S, back when SoftBank was the only carrier you could get it from. However, after not being able to reach my brother in Sendai during the East Japan earthquake, I decided to cancel my contract as I believed a phone that couldn't make calls was not really a phone. Later on, au started selling iPhones, but it wasn't until the 5S that docomo, my carrier at the time, finally offered iPhones. After canceling my SoftBank contract, I imported SIM-free 4, 4S, and 5 models from the US and used them with my already cut docomo SIM card, which caused the carrier name to appear as docomo on the screen, even though I was not using their service. This was quite unusual and drew attention. Since then, I've been patiently using iPhones, upgrading every two years until I reached the 12, which I planned to use until the 15 came out. However, my battery started deteriorating before the release of the 15, so I decided to get it replaced. I made a reservation and went to the store, only to be told there was a 1.5-hour wait. I decided to grab some food nearby, but to my surprise, the area was cordoned off with police, firefighters, and Tokyo Gas personnel present. Even a Fuji TV crew was filming nearby. I tried to negotiate with the firefighters to let me enter the restaurant right next to the restricted area, but they refused. Fortunately, the restaurant manager saw me and waited with me until the gas leak was resolved and the area cleared. Once I picked up my iPhone after the battery replacement, I returned to the restaurant. Despite the initial plan to close for the day, the restaurant managed to identify and remove the gas leak, allowing them to open for business on a limited scale. I decided to contribute by ordering a bottle, enjoying some shellfish and garlic butter, and joining in a drinking session. After enjoying more shellfish and getting some shellfish rice as a souvenir, I left some money and exited the restaurant. I couldn't help but admire the chef's courage for smoking inside the restaurant, considering the recent gas leak incident. It was a unique and valuable experience.
