In a dimly lit alley, there is a unique restaurant with an unassuming exterior where the owner offers a two-hour all-you-can-eat and drink course for 10,000, 15,000, or 20,000 yen. When asked what kind of food I preferred, I opted for the 20,000 yen course. Even though I said "chef's choice" for the dishes, the portions were overwhelming and almost impossible to finish for someone not used to eating large amounts of food. The meal started with simmered head of golden-eye snapper, tuna salad, and a huge rock oyster, followed by chorizo, a special sea urchin dish, and a grill platter of chicken, duck, black pork, lamb chops, and clams. Then, there was horse mackerel nanban-zuke for a break, abalone and fruit tomato salad, conger eel tempura, and roasted pork. After about an hour, a light dish of spiny lobster shell ramen was served to refresh the palate. The self-service free-flowing sake included prestigious brands like Juyondai, Shinsei NO-6, and Tokugetsu, while the highball featured Hibiki whiskey. The chef, who had experience with Japanese cuisine and sushi abroad, offered a high level of customization, from seafood-focused meals to a finale of Matsusaka beef burger. The one-hour course for 10,000 yen could also be satisfying, and the chef's choice option was the most voluminous. It's amazing how there are big eaters in the world. #TokyoGourmet #TokyoMeatKappo #GinzaGourmet #GinzaMeatKappo #GinzaJapaneseCuisine #GinzaSake #GinzaIchomeGourmet #TakaramachiGourmet #Kagayaki #GinzaKagayaki #TakaramachiKagayaki #Foodies #WagyuLovers #Uniku #SakeLovers #Juyondai #Shinsei #Tokugetsu #Kazenomori
