I stopped by because I hadn't eaten it yet. I imagined square kelp, but it was surprisingly fine kelp. The scent of sansho pepper was not very strong, just a hint. Surprisingly, the taste of soy sauce was clear. I'm not sure how to evaluate it. It's salty with alcohol, and I haven't been eating much rice lately.

I attended a dinner party and stopped by to pick up a small souvenir. I went to the department store basement. I bought pickled butterbur sprouts, which is a classic choice. I also bought this as an additional item for home. I thought it would have a strong flavor, but it turned out to be surprisingly mild with a lot of moisture. It's not quite like a salad, more like a side dish. It's suitable for beer snacks. I'm looking forward to enjoying more spring treats.

I went to buy some good items today. The purchases this time were:
- Kinome-ni (Simmered young leaves) for 540 yen
- Unjuzakura (Cloud pearl cherry) for 648 yen
Review:
- Kinome-ni: This is a specialty dish from Kurama and my favorite shop for it! The soy sauce and sansho pepper are strong and delicious. It goes well with warm rice, onigiri, and ochazuke. It also pairs nicely with leftover mochi from New Year's.
- Unjuzakura: This is a healthy vegan simmered dish made with gluten (Kyoto nama-fu) and toasted sansho pepper. It has a rich flavor similar to shellfish simmered dish and is not fishy at all. It's slightly sweet with a hint of mountain pepper, making it a great accompaniment for sake.
Overall, these dishes are perfect companions for a delicious meal. They make me feel grateful to be Japanese during mealtime.

I went to buy after being taught by Mairebi-san. They have a section in the depachika, so it's quite a nice store. I bought pickled butterbur and miso. Each costs around 600 yen including tax. The pickled butterbur allows you to taste the flavor of the butterbur itself. It's quite large. The greenish aroma spreads in your mouth. I felt that this aroma is similar to butterbur, but a few days later I realized my own foolishness. I felt the arrival of spring.

Every year in spring, I always buy simmered butterbur sprouts. This time, I found them at Takashimaya. I was torn between choosing soy sauce pickled or miso flavored butterbur sprouts from Kurama Tsujii. After trying a sample, I decided to go with the miso flavored one. It costs 540 yen (tax included). The bitter butterbur sprouts are simmered in Kyoto miso and a secret broth. When you put it on hot rice, it's delicious. The other type is soy sauce pickled, made with the first butterbur sprouts of spring, lightly flavored. I will definitely buy this one next time and enjoy it on warm rice. Thank you for the meal.

Kyoto is famous for its sansho pepper. When the season for picking sansho pepper comes, my beautiful wife, who is only beautiful, buys a lot of branches of sansho pepper and picks the peppercorns. It's a common sight in Kyoto. My beautiful wife was looking at them with longing eyes, so I bought the most reasonable chicken liver with sansho pepper for 200 yen! Since she doesn't have to spend money from her own wallet, my beautiful wife was very happy. She's such a cute one, easy to understand... Basically, my usable money is mostly spent on food for the two of us or on our beloved dog's things!

Nice to meet you. I thought it would be more stylish to have the items wrapped in bamboo rather than a regular plastic bag, so I purchased it as a souvenir for my friend.

Today, I tried the "Yamasho Jako" made with natural sansho pepper at Kurama Tsujii, a shop located on the basement floor of Takashimaya Kyoto store. This popular dish is made with high-quality dried baby sardines and sansho pepper seeds, cooked together with added Yawata sansho leaves. The baby sardines have a nice firm texture and are well-seasoned with the flavor of sansho pepper, making it a perfect accompaniment to rice. There are also many other rice toppings available, so I look forward to trying them one by one.

Before my mother was hospitalized, I bought a commemorative set as a companion! Since it was May, there was a Reiwa commemorative set available. This time, I purchased:
- Reiwa commemorative set for 1080 yen
Contents and taste:
- Reiwa commemorative set: Kinome simmered dish, Leaf chili pepper, Shibazuke pickles, Konjac burdock (surprisingly delicious and soft)
- Set of shredded mountain pepper
The lineup of well-seasoned tsukudani and rice accompaniments made it easy to eat even with a poor appetite. Overall, it was very helpful for breakfast with porridge and just a sprinkle of side dishes.

I saw a review from Mairebi-sama and suddenly felt like eating it after a long time, so I was talking about it... and then my son bought it for me at Takashimaya. (^◇^)• Kurama Tsujii Kino Mone This dish is cooked with finely chopped kombu and sansho pepper, making it mellow. It certainly adds a boost of flavor to hot rice or ochazuke. If you eat too much, you might be a little concerned about the salt content... but it's delicious. Maybe it would be tasty mixed into a salad. Please give it a try. Thank you for the meal. (^^♪
