Today was scorching hot and I was craving a delicious iced coffee! I had passed by this coffee shop, Akane Coffee, a few times and finally decided to check it out. The aroma of coffee was so inviting from outside. Without hesitation, I ordered their signature cold coffee. I'm not a coffee expert, but it was just right - strong but not bitter, and incredibly tasty. The place was almost full, with elegant ladies in kimonos who seemed to have just finished watching a play. It's no wonder this place is so popular. The retro Showa era decor created a cozy atmosphere. I wish I could come back in cooler weather, dressed in a kimono like those lovely ladies, for a delightful detour.

While out on a business trip, I visited a shop where I could take a break. This shop allows smoking at the table, which is convenient for smokers. Location: Right near Higashi-Ginza Station Interior: The overall atmosphere is retro Showa style. The shop has a calm atmosphere with dishes lined up on the counter. However, since they allow smoking of paper cigarettes, the smell of smoke is strong. Order: Iced coffee for 950 yen Impression: The long, slender glass is cute, and the retro feel of the menu is also very charming. However, the price is high. The taste of the coffee itself is neither good nor bad. It may be expensive for a short break, but considering the atmosphere of the shop and the service, as well as the fact that smokers can relax and smoke at their seats, the price is understandable. It may be tough for non-smokers. As a smoker, this shop is very convenient.

After sushi, it's time for something sweet! After finishing lunch nearby, I felt like having something sweet so I wandered around looking for a dessert spot. The cafe where John Lennon and Yoko Ono visited was full with a waiting list, so I continued walking and soon found "Akane Coffee Shop." I'm not sure if it's a chain, but I couldn't find a clear answer on Google. I ordered: - Akane-style blended coffee for 995 yen - Grape juice for 995 yen - Tokyo Kicho Tanba black bean and chestnut tart for 750 yen The cups and plates had an antique charm which was lovely. The Akane-style blended coffee had a rich and delicious flavor. The grape juice was thick and tasty. The Tanba black bean and chestnut tart was sweet and delicious. The cafe had a cool and relaxed atmosphere, but it was a smoking-friendly place so I couldn't stay long. The cafe had a dim lighting and a retro Showa-era vibe, which was nice. The food was delicious, thank you for the meal!

I sat down at a smoking-friendly restaurant. I thought they were closed on Sundays, but they were open which was great. The coffee was delicious and the desserts were not too sweet and tasty! The atmosphere of the restaurant was lovely and the staff were friendly, so it was a great experience going there.

I casually walked in but was shocked by the high prices, and the place didn't even serve delicious food. It's in Higashi-Ginza, so it's understandable. They served a normal iced tea, and since I don't drink coffee, I couldn't enjoy it. You can smoke there, but there's no Wi-Fi, and the signal is weak even near the entrance. I couldn't use PayPay, and it was unclear.

The blend of iced coffee poured carefully into a tall glass was refreshing, while the hot chocolate made with bitter dark chocolate was rich and delicious. The cheesecake was decadent, especially with the homemade jam. I thought it was a great old-fashioned shop, but as a non-smoker, the atmosphere was a bit tough for me. The shop's unique blend was top-notch, a black coffee with a hint of sweetness that was very soothing.

It is a high-end coffee shop, but very easy to talk to. The customer service is also very good. It is located just a little further down the street to the left of the Kabuki-za theater. If there is a rakugo performance, it is from 15:30 to 17:00, and it may be reserved on weekends. Definitely one of the places I want to visit again!!

After enjoying delicious Chinese food, we decided to visit this coffee shop because we felt like having coffee. The atmosphere inside the shop was calm, with only 1-2 other customers. We ordered a blend coffee and a royal milk tea. The coffee was delicious, and the cups were really nice. As we admired the cups, Chigako mentioned that they were from a certain brand she knew. I really liked the cups and thought about buying one, but they were expensive! Chigako wondered what would happen if a customer accidentally broke one. I joked that they would probably have to compensate for it, as the price of a cup couldn't be covered by just one coffee. We continued to have silly conversations while enjoying the relaxed atmosphere of the shop. It's a place that provides such a comfortable space. We even bought some coffee beans to take home.

Closed on Sundays as stated, but they were open in May on Sundays. Akane-ya Blend Coffee priced at 995 yen. Drinks were all around 1000 yen. Overall, it was at Ginza prices. Despite that, the place was crowded, with only 2 counter seats available. I ordered the Akane-ya Blend Coffee. Various coffee cups were lined up on the shelf. It seems they choose one based on the customer, and I quietly waited. They brewed it in a cute floral cup. I was glad they chose a cute cup for me (lol). The master talked to me when I finished drinking. He was friendly and surprising. I understood why there were many regular customers. Is the price 995 yen because the change is 5 yen (good luck)? I left the shop thinking it was expensive, but I wouldn't mind coming back again.

The retro coffee shop in Ginza has a stylish coffee cup hanging on the counter, making it very fashionable. Smoking is allowed, which is great for smokers. The cheesecake was delicious, especially with the jam on top. I originally ordered blueberry jam, but the owner recommended cherry jam, so I changed my order. I don't eat jam often, so I'm glad I made the switch. Thank you, Master.

Before the start of the second part of the Kabuki performance at Kabukiza Theater, I had some time to spare, so I took a break at a cafe located along the Kobaricho Street on the east side of Kabukiza Theater. It seems like this is the only non-chain cafe I haven't visited yet. The cafe has a sense of sophistication and may seem a bit intimidating, but the cheerful greeting of "Welcome!" put me at ease. The atmosphere here is truly wonderful, with a small and cute wooden counter seat adding to the calming ambiance. Although the person sitting two seats away was smoking, strangely enough, I didn't really notice the smell. I was tempted by the "expensive but delicious sweets," but I ended up ordering the Tokyo Kichotei Danba black bean and Japanese chestnut tart for ¥750. The tart had a soft texture with a strong egg flavor, and the combination of black beans and chestnuts provided a comforting sweetness. For my hot coffee, I chose the Akane-ya Blend Coffee for ¥950, the only type available it seemed. It had a well-balanced taste with minimal acidity, but the depth and aroma were rich, making it very delicious. The cup was from Okura Touen. The cafe had a lot of composed customers, perhaps due to its mood and prices, making it a pleasant place to relax. I have a feeling I'll be visiting quite frequently in the future. Thank you for the meal!

Number of seats: Counter seats for about 8 people, tables for about 10 people Smoking: Allowed Decor: Antique-style cafe Music: Classical Size: Approximately 50-70 square meters Price: High (around 1000 yen for a cup of blended coffee) Customers: Almost full, had to turn away groups Coffee: Ordered the blend coffee in the style of Akemiya. They use charcoal roasted beans and brew each cup slowly using a paper drip method. They bring the pot to the table and pour the coffee into cups, allowing customers to choose from a selection of cups. On this day, they served in a Wedgwood cup and saucer. The coffee had a slightly sweet aroma like black sugar, with a slightly strong bitterness but a refreshing taste. As the temperature dropped, the aroma became richer. Service: There is a male master-like figure and a female staff member. They work silently but occasionally chat with regular customers. They quickly clear cups and plates once finished, giving the impression of wanting customers to leave sooner than expected. Overall: The quality of the coffee is high and the atmosphere is very nice. The size of the cafe is just right, not too small or too large, making it comfortable. However, the prices are high, which is understandable considering the location in Higashi-Ginza near the Kabuki-za theater. It may not be a place for a casual stroll and a cup of coffee. I tried to replicate the brewing method at home, and the coffee's unique flavor came through nicely.

★Instagram@chihoda★YouTube@Chihoda93★TikTok@chihoda★Twitter@chihoda★blog★Chihoda Blog★I stopped by this café located behind the Kabuki-za theater. It has a very calming atmosphere and seems to allow smoking. The interior is divided into counter seats and table seats. This time, I had a milk tea which was very fragrant, smooth, and had a gentle taste. I enjoyed a delicious cup. Thank you for the meal!!

Located a 5-minute walk from Ginza Station A7 exit, "Akane Coffee Shop" is a coffee specialty store with its main store in Sannomiya, Kobe. The Akane Coffee Shop in Higashi-Ginza opened 38 years ago, exuding a sense of history with its tranquil interior that seems to slow down time compared to the outside world. They roast the coffee beans in-house using charcoal fire, resulting in a rich and smooth flavor without any bitterness. The coffee is served in high-quality cups like "Wedgwood" or "Okura Art China," adding to the overall experience. The "Akane-style Iced Coffee" is meticulously brewed by grinding beans upon order and pouring it into a chilled glass, offering a crisp bitterness with a refreshing aftertaste. Additionally, they offer "Tamba Chestnut Simmered in Astringent Skin" and "Tamba Black Beans," both made with top-grade Japanese ingredients.

Located right outside Higashi Ginza and Kabuki-za, we visited Akane during a break from our otaku activities. It's next to a popular omurice restaurant where there's always a long line. My colleagues chose the iced milk tea and meatballs, and the iced coffee, each costing 1000 yen. The food was delicious, but the lack of desserts and the small, cramped space made us feel constantly watched. After about 30 minutes, we were silently given the bill and felt the unwelcoming atmosphere. The most important aspect of a cafe, comfort, was lacking here. I don't think I'll be visiting again.

I had to kill about an hour while waiting for my bicycle tire to be changed, and I thought about going to YOU, but there was a line, so I came here instead. I remembered coming here once over 5 years ago. I was seated at the counter, and the cool air from the air conditioner was much appreciated. I ordered an iced coffee and a chestnut and black bean tart, which came to about 1700 yen. The background music was chanson. The place was decorated with lots of coffee cups and glasses, reminding me of my grandma's house. I thought to myself that it would be tough during an earthquake with all these dishes around. While lost in thought, my coffee and tart arrived. I'm not a big coffee drinker, but it was delicious. The tart was subtly sweet with a Japanese twist, and it was also delicious. The somewhat tsundere-like older sister turned out to be friendly, and I think I'll come back again when I'm nearby. Watching other customers who came in later, I realized that like bars, cafes are also places where people come to chat with the staff.

A super stylish roasted coffee with a purple theme on a black antique wood counter ☕️☕️☕️ Next to the Kabuki-za theater, there are elegant ladies in kimonos chatting, creating a great atmosphere. Along the same street, there is a long line of about 40 people at the cafe YOU, but it's luxurious to have a relaxing space while ignoring that long line. ★★★ Enjoy a cold roasted coffee with a bitter and refreshing taste, taking a breath. You can indulge in a luxurious and good time ★★★

This is a coffee shop located in front of Akita Station. We were excited talking about how they choose the cup based on the person's vibe during our student days. This time, I had the Classic Blend and my husband had the Extra Blend. At first, I thought the Classic Blend was a bit strong in roasting, but when I took my time to drink it, the aftertaste was good and delicious. Despite being in front of the station, time seemed to flow slowly.

The pudding costs 380 yen, the eclair costs 380 yen, and the chocolate cake costs 750 yen. If it has the name "Ginza," the price is high. I wanted to buy the strawberry shortcake at first, but it was 980 yen per slice, so I gave up. Maybe because it uses Amaou strawberries? It looked wonderful, but I decided to go with the chocolate cake instead. It was just average. It had gold leaf on top and looked fancy. Inside, there was chocolate mousse sandwiched. The eclair had a good balance of chocolate cream and whipped cream, with a crispy choux pastry. This was the most delicious. The pudding was on the firmer side, and the whipped cream on top was delicious.

Blend 995 yen menu seems to be anything you order for 995 yen. It's too much trouble to get back 5 yen, so why not just make it a flat 1000 yen? I walked from Higashi-Ginza Ningyocho and there is a cafe called "Kissa You" right next to it with a long line of people waiting. It seems smoking is allowed (I can see ashtrays). Since there are no other customers, it's not a problem today. The background music is classical (Baroque) and the chairs have a slightly vintage look, giving a unified feel. The dim lighting creates a calm atmosphere in the interior.
