そら☆まめ
Hello~♪(^.^)/ 2020.08.31 This is my second time here. The last time was in January this year for a colleague's farewell lunch. And today, it's another colleague's farewell lunch! (Again!) Bonbi Lehman shouldn't come to a traditional Japanese lunch on a regular day, right? Normally. Originally, we planned to go to a nearby sushi restaurant, but it was closed. So, we ended up coming here instead. We sat at the same table as last time, a large sunken table. Last time I had sashimi set, so today I decided to try something different. I looked at the menu. Today's grilled fish is mackerel, simmered fish is red snapper, and there are also tempura, ginger pork, tempura bowl, makunouchi, etc. Of course, there are also sushi options, but the value for money isn't that great. The quality is good, but the quantity isn't enough. We ordered two tempura set meals, one sashimi set, one ginger pork set, and two grilled fish set meals. I chose the grilled fish set meal. Fuchu is somehow a wasteland for Japanese food. It's not that there are no options, but they are expensive and not that great. So, I was curious about the traditional Japanese grilled fish here. The grilled fish took a bit longer to arrive, and by the time it did, everyone else had finished eating. The rice portion is free. But if you want a refill, it costs an extra 100 yen. So, can I get a refill for both for just 100 yen more? Well, I can't eat that much anyway. The set meal includes rice, pickles, miso soup, chawanmushi, and grilled fish. Let's dig in! The large mackerel half comes with grated daikon and sliced lemon. I squeezed the lemon, poured soy sauce, and got ready to eat. Yum, delicious!!! As expected from a traditional Japanese restaurant! This is going to make me eat a lot of rice. I tried the miso soup next. I opened the lid and saw a beautiful green color. Slurp... Ah, it's so green! I love green. I alternated between the mackerel, rice, pickles, and miso soup. The rice was cooked just right, and I found myself eating a lot of rice and having leftover mackerel. I increased the portion of mackerel and enjoyed it. The extra rice was finished in no time. Lastly, I had the chawanmushi. It was a beautiful ivory color. I ate it and enjoyed it. I love chawanmushi. The smooth harmony of dashi and egg is the best! (Why Harry Potter? It's Hermione!) Chawanmushi must have chicken and ginkgo nuts. Without these two, it's not a proper chawanmushi. It's not about shiitake mushrooms, mitsuba, kamaboko, etc. It's been a while since I had delicious mackerel. The price of 968 yen including tax is reasonable. I'll skip the chawanmushi next time if you give me a 200 yen discount! (I'm cheap!!!) I wonder whose farewell lunch will be next. Maybe it will be mine... Bye~(^.^)/~~
