【Overview】Located in a back alley towards Roppongi from Azabu-Juban, this izakaya "Azabu-Juban Soba Izakaya Sobagoya" is gaining popularity in the Minato-ku area for its dishes supervised by "Ginza Maruichi". Open from lunch to the next morning, it is a very convenient place that can be used for lunch, as the first or second stop. The menu offers a wide range of dishes using duck meat, with all dishes made with domestic duck meat and carefully selected eggs being exquisite. The interior is clean and has a stylish atmosphere, so I have designated it as a strong favorite!

☆Duck chirashi seiro 1,780 yen
The winning menu is here! The carefully simmered domestic duck meat, combined with high-quality duck fat, and the "authentic duck dipping sauce" paired with the freshly made fragrant soba noodles are truly outstanding. It's also fun to choose the type of soba and the thickness of the noodles, starting from here! "Genmai soba (thin, medium, thick)" refers to soba grains that are ground with the husk still on. The characteristic is the crunchy texture of chewing the husk. "Marunuki soba (thin, medium, thick)" refers to the state where the black husk of the soba grains is peeled off and the contents are taken out. Fresh marunuki soba has a greenish color. When ground in a stone mill and made into soba noodles, it becomes a fragrant soba. This time, after about 2 minutes of hesitation, I ordered Genmai soba (medium)! The slightly hard texture of the soba, as described in the menu, was a new experience for me, and the dipping sauce was incredibly delicious. The harmony with the duck fat or umami was out of this world. I have decided that I will definitely revisit this place for a drinking party at Wara Azabu-Juban or when passing through this area.
☆Dashimaki tamago 1,380 yen
This restaurant also pays attention to eggs, not just soba and duck meat. The rolled omelette made with "Ranou," a brand of eggs from Oita Prefecture, produced from chickens raised on mineral-rich natural feed, was discovered on the menu and immediately ordered due to its delicious appearance. It had a rich dashi flavor and was one of the top omelettes I have ever had.
☆Domestic duck tataki 1,680 yen
You can't miss the duck tataki. The tenderness and lack of gamey flavor of the duck meat were both impressive and made me question, "Is this really duck meat?" The dish was exceptional, especially when enjoyed with salt. Sake was definitely the best companion! Thank you for the wonderful meal!
