I was satisfied with the Toraji restaurant in Ebisu, so I made a reservation at the Toraji restaurant in Ikebukuro Sunshine City for a small gathering. The fact that all rooms are private was also appealing. With the ongoing pandemic, it's nice to be able to chat without worrying about others around. It had been a while since I visited Sunshine City. I only visited a few times since it opened. I took the escalator to the 3rd floor. The building seemed less crowded than I remembered, perhaps due to the current situation. As soon as I entered the restaurant, I was led to a private room. The space was not large, but it was tastefully decorated and sufficient. We started with Namul, Kimchi, and Toraji Kimchi. Toraji Kimchi is made from the roots of bellflowers. I had it in a kimchi assortment at Ebisu before and found it delicious, wondering if it was burdock or something else. Upon researching, I found out it was bellflower roots. It's the origin of the Toraji name. We toasted with champagne, which paired well with the kimchi. We decided to order meat dishes a la carte instead of a course menu. We enjoyed the loin, kalbi, and tenderloin, starting with the kalbi. We also ordered rice and chanja, and enjoyed the meal like a family. As we've grown older together, we tend to avoid fatty foods. Here, we grilled the meat ourselves in a typical style, with someone coming to help with the grilling. The meat quality was excellent. Sometimes we got distracted by chatting and ended up cooking the meat a bit too much, but that's okay. The meat is really delicious when cooked just right. The service was polite and friendly, and we all had a great time. Now that the situation with the pandemic is stable, we were able to enjoy this precious time together. I hope we can go on a trip with this group soon. Please, Covid, let's end this already!

I had some business in Ikebukuro and had a hearty ramen for lunch, but in the evening I went to Toraji. It was a completely private room with luxurious decorations. The assorted platter was around 5000 yen, but there were quite a few pieces and I was very satisfied. However, I couldn't finish it all because I still had some ramen left.

Almost all rooms are private, creating a calm atmosphere where you can enjoy yakiniku slowly. The taste of the tongue, harami, and kalbi is undeniably delicious. The lunch costs around 2,300 yen and includes 3 types of meat along with soup, kimchi, namul, chilled tofu, and a stir-fried meat dish. Everything is delicious, and you can get extra rice for free. The rice is freshly cooked and tasty. The sauce is light and enhances the flavor of the meat. The matcha green tea highball is also perfect, not too strong.

The photo is different! Is it a T-cut of tongue? It's just a regular tongue cut in half to make a T shape. The deep-fried garlic is also mediocre. It was better a few years ago. They no longer provide hot towels, tea, or ice cream at the end of the meal. Prices have gone up, but the quality has gone down. Can't beat the changing times, I guess. The staff's service was good though.

I finally went to Trattoria, a place I've been wanting to visit for a while! The portions were huge and it had a luxurious feel, which was really nice! It's been a while since I've experienced something so extravagant, so my excitement was through the roof! The meat itself was delicious and the atmosphere was top-notch! I highly recommend it!

Delicious yakiniku restaurant. I didn't order for myself so I'm not sure what I ate besides the tongue, but overall it was really good. The rice in the photo at the end was insanely delicious. But there was a lot of garlic in it lol. Depending on work the next day, rice - delicious, drinks - wine after a long time, atmosphere - luxurious, cost - unknown, staff - good.

For my eldest child's birthday celebration, I asked what they wanted to eat and they chose yakiniku, so I chose this restaurant. We have been here a few times before and my child seems to really like the atmosphere. We ordered the New Year limited lunch set, kuppabap, and bibimbap. The New Year limited lunch set was a bit more expensive compared to the regular lunch set, which was a bit of a concern for me. The meat didn't feel particularly high quality, but the bibimbap and kuppabap were quite delicious. The kids were happy, so that's good. Thank you for the meal!

I visited this restaurant for the first time around 3:00 PM, skipping the usual lunch time. I like Toraji, so I have been to various branches before, but this time I came to this branch at Sunshine for some errands. As always, the cost performance was good and the food was delicious, but I couldn't pay the bill at all because I had to leave early due to an urgent matter. The staff ignored me and I couldn't leave the restaurant feeling good. I don't think I will visit this branch again, but I hope the staff can reconsider their attentiveness. Thank you for the meal.

This is Sunshine's Toraji. It was nice to have a private room here, so it felt spacious. Unlike other Toraji branches, they didn't offer the option of fruit sauce, which was disappointing. The Toraji salad had too little dressing. The three kinds of tongue and harami were incredibly delicious.

It was packed even on a weekday, but all rooms are private so even small families can feel at ease! I visited the restaurant around 13:30 on a regular day, but had to wait outside for about 30 minutes before being seated. There were many families with children at Sunshine that day, so maybe there was an event going on. I ordered the Yakiniku Gozen set. There was a smaller size available, but I opted for the regular one as they mentioned that the amount of meat would be reduced in the smaller size. The set included various meats, shrimp, vegetables, mango smoothie, soup, two small side dishes, kimchi, rice, ice cream for dessert, and was quite luxurious. The meat varieties included Kalbi, Harami, and marinated Wagyu. There were 4 pieces of Kalbi, and 3 pieces each of Harami and Wagyu. I'm not sure if it was intentional, but there was quite a noticeable difference in the same cuts of meat. The marbling and texture varied significantly even within the same cut. It's a mystery. Well, it's expensive but it's simply delicious! Surprisingly, my favorite part of the meal was not the Yakiniku, but the beef and burdock root simmered dish! It had a balanced flavor that went well with rice. It's nice to find joy in the small side dishes. The location at Sunshine and the private rooms for a relaxing atmosphere justify the slightly higher price. I'll only use it for "treating myself to Yakiniku" occasions. Laughing.

The atmosphere was calm and the meat was delicious. The oil from the upper ribs was a bit strong, but the lean meat was juicy, thickly sliced, and had a rich meaty flavor. You can enjoy a lot of cuts like fillet, skirt steak, and chuck flap.

I attended a celebration for a subordinate who performed well at work. We made a last-minute reservation and arrived during peak hours, but the restaurant was empty due to the pandemic. I let the subordinate, the guest of honor, order their favorite dishes, such as thick-cut premium meats like tongue and kalbi. The atmosphere and service were fine, but as expected, the restaurant was a bit pricey. Thank you for the meal.

The first time visiting a yakiniku restaurant since having a child. It's nice that you can relax in a private room. Sometimes it took a while for the staff to come even when the buzzer was pressed, but I guess they were busy. The meat was neatly arranged and looked appetizing. It's a shame I couldn't take more photos. I wish I could have savored it more slowly, but I guess that's just how it is. I would like to come back again.

Yakiniku set meal for 2300 yen. Visited on a Sunday around 11 am. The interior of the restaurant consists of private rooms only, with a calm atmosphere featuring black as the main color and traditional Japanese-style doors for the private rooms. However, once inside, the tables are bright red, making a strong impression. I ordered the cheapest yakiniku set meal from the holiday lunch menu. It arrived in about 10 minutes. The set included marbled kalbi beef, skirt steak, aged marinated Wagyu beef, shrimp assortment, rice, soup, cold tofu, beef simmered in soy sauce, kimchi, and mango juice. The marbled kalbi and skirt steak were thinly sliced and thick, while the aged marinated Wagyu beef was thinly sliced but large in size. The charcoal grill had strong heat, so the Wagyu beef only needed a quick sear to cook perfectly. The sweet garlic seasoning was well done, making the meat tender and delicious. However, the marbled kalbi and skirt steak, being thick cuts, had quite a bit of tough tendon running through them, making them a bit difficult to chew. It was disappointing that all the meat had tendons. The yakiniku sauce was sweet and tasty. The mango juice was rich and full of mango flavor. After the meal, milk ice cream was served, with just the right amount of sweetness for a refreshing finish.

I used this restaurant when I went shopping at Sunshine on Sunday. Usually, when I go out to Sunshine, I move to the station area to have lunch, but it was raining, so we decided to have lunch inside Sunshine. The kids wanted to eat yakiniku, so we chose this Toraji. We had to wait for about 30 minutes since it was around noon, and then we were seated. We ordered the 2800 yen lunch set. The kids wanted the same amount of yakiniku as adults, so we ordered the same for them. The meat was decent, nothing special, but it was a stable choice. It's a good place for families because you can enjoy a leisurely lunch in a private room. Thank you for the meal!

I visited "Yakiniku Toraji" on the 3rd floor of Alpa in Ikebukuro Sunshine City. I arrived on a Sunday at 11:30. I chose this place because I thought it would be a relaxing place to eat with children. As a nationally renowned high-end yakiniku chain, the interior was well-designed with a red and black color scheme. We were led to a private room. The lunch prices ranged from 2000 yen and up. I ordered the special set meal. The appetizer platter looked different from the photos outside. There wasn't much explanation about the types of meat, and I felt that the quality and service did not match the high prices. Because it's a private room, it's a safe place to bring small children or a stroller. After lunch, we were served ice candy. I think it's a convenient place for families. Thank you for the meal.
