This is an old-fashioned restaurant located along a wide street, exuding a Showa-era atmosphere. The interior has only table seating, with options for 4-person and 2-person tables, making it a cozy and intimate setting. They do not offer shared seating, so even if there is a customer sitting alone at a 4-person table, there are waiting chairs by the wall where you can sit until a table opens up. The menu is extensive, with options to order rice and miso soup separately. The rice comes in large, medium, and small sizes, while the miso soup choices include pork, clam, and mushroom. I ordered the Hamburg Egg with medium rice and miso soup. Pickles and seasoned seaweed are self-service. There is a teapot and tea bowl on the table for hojicha tea. The Hamburg Egg had the delicious taste of an old-fashioned diner. Payment is cash only. The walls are adorned with autographed photos of famous people.

I visited this restaurant after seeing the reviews. It is a nostalgic and friendly diner that has become a filming location in Higashi-Fuchu, with many celebrities visiting. The interior was bustling with regulars and new customers since opening. The prices were clearly displayed including tax, making it reasonable. I ordered curry rice and mixed fry, and had it as mixed fry curry rice. The mixed fry included oyster fry, horse mackerel fry, squid fry, and shrimp fry, providing a satisfying meal. The warm atmosphere added to the experience, enhancing the deliciousness. I enjoyed it very much.

During my long-awaited business trip to Tokyo, I headed to Fuchu City, a bit off the beaten path. But lo and behold, I found a charming eatery in the nightlife district offering simple, delicious, and affordable dishes. I indulged in their homemade macaroni salad, pork steak, and a bottle of beer, all for less than 2,000 yen. It was simply fantastic.

Visited a restaurant in Fuchu for work during lunch. It is a popular spot for filming movies and dramas like TV Asahi's "Tokuso 9" and movies by Koki Mitani. The interior is filled with autographs of celebrities. I ordered the Mackerel Miso Stew set for 850 yen. The lunch came with a complimentary raw egg. The food was very traditional and down-to-earth in taste. The prices were reasonable and it's just a good, simple and delicious diner.

It was a small diner run by a couple, with menu items priced around 700 yen and an option to add rice and miso soup for an additional 300 yen. At lunchtime, they served a complimentary raw egg and pickles. The menu was extensive and displayed on the walls. The food was delicious and portion sizes were generous, and the service was friendly and welcoming.

The restaurant I am introducing this time is Sanpo Shokudo, one of the representative diners in Higashi-Fuchu. I visited there for the first time. The location is a little away from Higashi-Fuchu Station, along the Ginkgo tree-lined street. As you can see from the appearance of the store, it has a Showa era atmosphere. In the glass case, wax-made set meals are displayed. When you enter the store and look at the menu, you will see a list of home-cooked dishes, which are also posted on the wallpaper. Basically, it is a type of diner where you can add rice and miso soup to one dish to make it a set meal. It may be good for drinkers. They also offer a service of raw egg, which is nice! I enjoyed the mixed fry set meal with shrimp, horse mackerel, squid, and oysters.

I've always wanted to go back to Sanpo Shokudo! But they are closed on weekends and holidays, so I couldn't go for a while. Finally, I was able to go today after finishing my errands. The restaurant is run by a couple and it's always crowded at lunchtime, showing how popular it is. My favorite is the mixed fry - oysters, shrimp, squid, and horse mackerel fry. It's so satisfying with its crispy and freshly fried goodness! I also enjoyed the simple ketchup pasta and macaroni salad that come as sides. It's rare to find a teishoku (set meal) restaurant like this, with good prices, generous portions, and delicious food that keeps customers coming back. My husband had the chicken ginger teishoku, which was seasoned perfectly and went well with rice. The teishoku comes with pickles and a raw egg as a bonus. Sometimes, having raw egg over rice is just the best! After a hearty meal, I feel energized! There are many celebrity autographs on the walls, and apparently, the restaurant is often used for filming. Thank you for the delicious meal!

The drama special "Wasurenai Sachiko" is based on a gourmet manga by Jun Abe. The main character, Sachiko Sasaki, played by Mitsuki Takahata, is a literary magazine editor known for her perfect work, earning her the nickname "Iron Lady." Despite being engaged to Shungo, whom she met while traveling, he disappears on their wedding day. Sachiko decides to visit real restaurants to try delicious food and forget about Shungo. One such popular restaurant is Sanpo Shokudo, which has been featured in various TV dramas. Located a 5-minute walk from Keio Line Higashi-Fuchu Station, the diner offers a variety of affordable dishes like tonkatsu, mixed fry, ginger pork, and more. Sachiko enjoyed the saba miso-ni set, but opted for the flagship dish, katsu curry, to avoid forgetting things even more. The old-fashioned sweet curry paired with crispy tonkatsu is a taste that makes you want to come back for more. Bon appétit! 。◕‿◕。

I visited the restaurant around 1:20 pm on a regular day. Although the lunch hours are until 2 pm, they close the shop curtains at 1:30 pm, so be careful. Interestingly, I used to work part-time at the neighboring Kikuyoshi during my student days, so I didn't intentionally avoid this place out of rivalry. This restaurant is famous as a filming location and has been featured in various dramas. In the drama "Forgotten Sachiko," it appeared in the first and final episodes, showcasing their popular mackerel miso dish. The menu at this restaurant is called "The Teishokuya" and offers a wide variety of options. I ordered the ginger pork set meal with extra rice and the mackerel miso. The lunch set comes with a complimentary raw egg. The food was served in about 13 minutes. The ginger pork came with shredded cabbage and spaghetti on the side. The dish had a slightly strong sweet and savory flavor, which paired perfectly with the rice. The rice, made from Fukui's Koshihikari rice "Echizen Ono," was delicious. The mackerel miso had tender meat and a rich miso flavor. It was best enjoyed by generously topping the rice with the miso-covered fish. I poured the raw egg over half of the rice, as it complemented the ginger pork well. The cabbage was plain, so I mixed it with the ginger pork sauce. The portion of the extra rice was quite generous, and I left feeling satisfied. On that day, there were TV staff members dining, negotiating a filming location deal during the payment process. I wonder what they will feature next. Looking forward to it.

East Fuchu Sanpo Shokudo This set meal restaurant is located next to Kikuyoshi Shokudo, which I introduced before. It is a well-known restaurant that is often featured in various places and is one of the representative restaurants in East Fuchu along with Kikuyoshi Shokudo. The atmosphere is also nice. Let's go inside right away. It was just a little past 5 o'clock when I entered. It was July 7th, just before the state of emergency was declared, so I ordered a beer. Kirin Lager is good. As a bonus, a pickled appetizer is served. Now, let's take a look at the menu. The menu at the bottom is more like appetizers. Furthermore, the menu below is for individual dishes. This restaurant is the type where you can add rice and miso soup to the individual dishes to make a set meal. It's a common type, isn't it? From the perspective of a restaurant drinker, rice and miso soup are not necessary. First, we have spinach ohitashi for 290 yen. Macaroni salad for 310 yen. The pricing really appeals to the hearts of restaurant drinkers. After a break, I had a highball. And for the second half, I had grilled mackerel for 460 yen. The saltiness goes well with alcohol. Finally, I had miso stir-fried eggplant for 550 yen. In addition to eggplant, there are bell peppers, onions, and meat, which would be a good dish to accompany rice if made into a set meal. Many people enjoyed drinking and then having a set meal. It's a restaurant where you can truly enjoy restaurant drinking. I hope they continue to do their best with reasonable prices.

It's been a while since my last visit. Since then, it seems that both Masaki Suda and Ayame Gouriki have also visited, as their autographs were displayed. [Order] Pork Cutlet Curry 1050 yen [Impression] The curry was sweet and the pork cutlet was satisfying. It was delicious as it was freshly fried. The lunchtime offer of a free raw egg is still available. It can get quite crowded during lunch hours, so I recommend arriving early.

In this area, a popular restaurant that is also closed on Saturdays, making it a bit challenging to visit. Located about 800m from Fuchu Racecourse, it may not rely on horse racing fans as customers. However, it is famous as a filming location for dramas. As per the information from the location database experts Masumura Jo and Takeuchi Nobuhito, the restaurant Sanpo Shokudo has appeared in various TV shows and dramas. I finally got a chance to visit around noon. The tables were all full, so I waited for a seat. I ordered a "Ulong Highball" (400 yen), "Tamagoyaki" (380 yen), and "Niku Dofu" (480 yen). The food took a while to arrive as the chef was cooking alone, so it's better to relax and enjoy the wait. The Ulong Highball was strong, the Niku Dofu had silky tofu, pork belly, leeks, and a slightly sweet soy sauce, while the Tamagoyaki was subtly sweet. Since there were other customers waiting for lunch, I didn't stay long after finishing my meal. I had been wanting to visit this place for a while, and I finally got the chance. The chef and the waitress saw me off with a smile.

It's been a long time since I last dined in here, maybe years. I've been checking out the menu since the day before and finally settled on the shrimp fry! Even though they were on the smaller side, the three shrimp fries had a decent volume! And all of that for only ¥620, I was amazed! They fry each dish one by one after you order, and the taste is really delicious. I wonder why I haven't been eating fried food until now? I regret it so much. I asked for 120g of rice, a regular miso soup, and it only cost me ¥900! Amazing cost performance! I also love fried horse mackerel, so I want to try it next time. It would be great if they could serve it as a set or assortment.

Katsu curry for 1050 yen and miso soup for 280 yen. The rice tastes like homemade. There's nothing fancy, but the katsu curry has chunks of domestic pork and the miso soup brings out the flavors of the ingredients. The miso soup also had cabbage and potatoes in it. Had a raw egg with the curry for the first time in a while.

I visited during lunchtime. I was born in Fuchu and have lived here for over 30 years, but I never had the courage to enter this place (lol). This time, with my colleague, we gathered our courage and walked through the noren (curtain) (lol). The exterior is like a retro Showa era diner!! There are four tables for four people and two tables for two people. It's small, but the atmosphere is nice. The walls are lined with autographed color papers of celebrities (this place has been famous as a filming location in the local area for a long time). The menu is extensive!! It's so extensive that it's hard to decide (lol). After much deliberation, I ordered the cheese hamburger set. My colleague ordered the fried horse mackerel set. Although the place was full, our food arrived quite quickly after ordering. The cheese was so melty and stringy that it was hard to cut!! The true form of a cheese hamburger!! The taste was delicious!! I also tried the fried horse mackerel, which was crispy and fluffy!! The plate also came with shredded cabbage and spaghetti as side dishes. It also came with a raw egg and pickles. The portion size was quite generous! When I ordered extra rice, it was actually a large portion!! Maybe women should stick to the small size?? My stomach is so full (lol). It was delicious!! When we paid, the chef in the kitchen smiled and said "Thank you" and I replied with "Thank you too!!". I will definitely go back again!!

It's an old-fashioned diner with a lot of celebrity autographs displayed. The mixed fry includes shrimp, squid, oysters, and horse mackerel, which is great! Adding it to a set meal costs an extra 200 yen. The garlic sprout grilled meat set meal is hearty and delicious. It seems to only be open on weekdays. There is a coin parking nearby that charges 100 yen for 30 minutes. It's bustling with lots of office workers!

I went there for the first time and had the safe choice of curry hamburger set meal. It was very delicious. They also provide a spoon to scoop up the curry. I went there just before 1 o'clock for lunch, and after a few more customers arrived, they closed the shop. So, it's important to be mindful of the time when going for lunch.

First visit to this restaurant. I rarely come to Higashi-Fuchu. My eldest daughter had a dance performance nearby, so I went out for a meal with my second daughter in between. I stumbled upon a "retro-style diner" while walking. It looked like my kind of place. The exterior, menu, and food samples were all good, and the interior was also nice once I entered. There were so many tempting menu items with intriguing names, but after much deliberation, I chose the "Tonkatsu set meal" for 920 yen. Those who ordered a set meal also got a raw egg. My second daughter wasn't very hungry, so she just ordered the "Cheese Hamburger" à la carte. The dishes arrived. The Tonkatsu was a bit tough, somewhat disappointing in the world of Tonkatsu. I thought it was a waste to order something as common as a hamburger at a place full of retro vibes, but as soon as it arrived, I could tell it was delicious. After eating, I'd rate the Tonkatsu 40 points (sorry), and the Cheese Hamburger 85 points. My second daughter has good taste. Since I didn't enjoy the Tonkatsu as much, I took advantage of my daughter being distracted by the TV and devoured most of the hamburger, then finished the rice. Probably because the other dishes looked delicious too, I would be happy if this diner was in my local area! Thank you for the meal~ (^^)/
