I went to Imahan, a well-known place for delicious meat. Although I often buy meat at department stores, it was my first time visiting this restaurant. I decided to reserve a private room, and in order to use the private room, each person had to order dishes worth at least 11000 yen. Since just having sukiyaki would be boring, I chose a course meal along with sukiyaki. When I mentioned that it was a celebration when making the reservation, they brought out red rice, which was a nice surprise. The course meal started with simmered dishes, followed by dishes like sweetfish, meat sushi, and steak that reflected the season. The meat was tender and delicious, easy to eat even for elderly people (in terms of size and taste). Finally, the main dish, sukiyaki, arrived with large marbled meat on the plate. At first, the staff cooked and served it, but afterwards, we could eat at our own pace, which was nice. The meat was so tender it melted in the mouth, and the sauce was flavorful but not overpowering. The meal ended with sherbet and tea, leaving me completely satisfied. I would definitely want to visit this restaurant again for another celebration.

Traditional "sukiyaki" lunch set for 4,400 yen. The quality is good, but the price for dinner is high. It may be more suitable to choose takeout for cooking at home. I am interested in the Kobe beef set for takeout. It is a high-quality service, but the price is also high.

I went to Imahan to celebrate and eat delicious food! It was a restaurant I had always wanted to try. I was told there was a 180-minute wait starting from 11:30 on Sunday. I didn't think I would have to wait that long, but I ended up waiting for 3 hours! However, because I waited so long, the food tasted even better! I wish I had made a reservation in advance, but when I tried a few days before, all the reservations were already full. The service was polite and I was very satisfied. I had the sukiyaki lunch course and everything I ate was delicious.

I started lining up around 11 o'clock and there were quite a few people in front of me. I was a little worried if I could get in, but the restaurant was spacious and I was able to be seated right when they opened. I was led to a tatami room and ordered the lunch special sukiyaki bowl. The meat was tender and went perfectly with the warm egg. Surprisingly, the red miso soup was also very delicious. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was nice, and I thought it would be well-received by tourists visiting Tokyo.

It was the Saturday of Golden Week. When I arrived around 11:20, there were about 40 people lined up. The restaurant opened at 11:30 and I was able to get in without any issues. They have quite a few seats available. I ordered the limited lunch special of Sukiyaki Donburi for 2530 yen. It arrived in about 15 minutes. The Sukiyaki was beautifully presented on top of the rice bowl. The beef was tender and delicious, soaked in the flavor of the Sukiyaki sauce. The shimeji and enoki mushrooms were also flavorful. There were tofu and other ingredients as well. Breaking the onsen tamago and mixing it with the ingredients made the taste milder. The aroma of the red miso soup was also nice. It was a casual and enjoyable meal.

I went to Asakusa without a specific restaurant in mind and decided to visit Imahan after a long time. I arrived around 1 pm and joined the line. The last person in line was about 1.5 meters away from the menu board outside the restaurant. There were many foreign customers, including Koreans and maybe French people at the back. I waited for about an hour. Around 2 pm, I was guided to the tatami room on the 3rd floor. The lunch menu on the outside board mentioned that only 20 sets were available per day, so I thought there would only be expensive options, but surprisingly there was only one menu item (maybe it was the Meiji Sukiyaki Don). I decided to go for the two-tiered box set where I could enjoy both the Hyakunen Gyudon and the steak bowl. The dishes arrived promptly, and the taste was truly impeccable. Delicious meat, that exquisite sweet seasoning... just as expected from Imahan. They also provided hot towels and tea twice, before and after the meal, showing their longstanding tradition. However, if I had to point out something, it would be that the portion size was small. The rice in the box set was only about 1 cm thick. Although I don't think many people come to Imahan looking for large portions, I couldn't help but wish for more rice to go with the delicious meat. I wondered if they would offer a larger serving... As soon as you enter, there is a capsule toy of Imahan's bento, which was very tempting, but I ended up not buying it. It would make a lovely souvenir for travelers.

I ordered the 15,000 yen per person sukiyaki course. The appetizers were all delicious and well-prepared. The sukiyaki made with Kobe beef was beautifully presented and tasty. The sauce was a bit on the sweet side. The sukiyaki itself was a bit monotonous in flavor, so I got a little bored halfway through, but the pickles served as a palate cleanser, which was just right. Unfortunately, the service was disappointing. I had informed them of my food preferences when making the reservation, requesting alternative ingredients, but they simply removed the ingredients I didn't like without providing any replacements. This was different from what was discussed over the phone. Considering the price I paid, I would have expected any other restaurant to offer alternative ingredients. It was a shame because the food was delicious. I don't think I will be visiting this restaurant again.

I made a reservation about 2 months in advance and visited the restaurant. By 6:00 PM, it was already showing as fully booked, so visiting without a reservation may be difficult. The dishes for the day included:
Appetizer: Red clam salad
First course: Dried kisu fish, edamame tofu, shrimp, deep-fried goby fish
Broccoli bisque soup
Clear soup: Clam, udo (mountain vegetable), seaweed
Sukiyaki: Tuna, red clam, sea bream
Beef shabu-shabu with kishimen noodles
Dessert
When it comes to shabu-shabu at Imahan, there is nothing to say but that it is delicious. The dishes were consistently excellent from the appetizer to the sashimi course. The service was also outstanding, with attentive care throughout the meal. Although the prices are not cheap, you can rest assured that you will not be disappointed, making it a great choice for gatherings.

I often eat sukiyaki at home because it can be expensive to eat out, especially if you want to order extra meat. However, dining at a specialty restaurant to enjoy delicious wagyu beef, the flavor of the broth, and the service is always a great experience. This time, I went to Asakusa Imahan, a famous sukiyaki restaurant, for the first time in a long while. The sukiyaki course started with appetizers (each one was delicious) and then we were served the delicious meat. The wagyu beef, cooked in egg, melted in my mouth and had a perfect balance of marbling. The rice and red miso soup after the sukiyaki were a wonderful combination, and we finished the meal with matcha ice cream. It was a truly happy experience. The service of having some of the cooking done by the staff is common in sukiyaki and shabu-shabu restaurants, and I always admire the staff in their traditional Japanese attire. It adds to the enjoyment of the meal, showcasing a sense of Japanese culture.

A private room is available for meals costing over 10,000 yen. You can reserve a private room in advance for the Kobe beef sukiyaki set meal at 19,800 yen per person. The meat melts in your mouth the moment you taste it, and the special miso sauce seeps into the tofu, wheat gluten, and green onions. From appetizers to dessert, the set meal is extremely luxurious.

I made a reservation at this restaurant in Asakusa to eat sukiyaki. They only had private rooms available, and in order to dine in a private room, you need to order dishes totaling over 11,000 yen. So, I reserved the "Premium Marbled Sukiyaki/Shabu-shabu Omotenashi (11,000 yen)" option. When I tried to change the number of people in my reservation later on, I couldn't get through on the phone as I had called the wrong restaurant, "Imahan", instead of "Asakusa Imahan". I learned that they are two different companies. The marbled beef was tender and flavorful, especially when eaten with vegetables. The egg was refillable. It was a great experience enjoying authentic sukiyaki. Thank you for the meal.

I came here after a long time. Today, I had a delicious sukiyaki course. You can also choose shabu-shabu. We started with a toast with beer and had appetizers. The appetizers may not be suitable for young people as the taste is unique. Then we had the sukiyaki, which was amazing. I skipped lunch today, so I enjoyed it even more. The meat was delicious and the sauce was perfect. They also served rare mushrooms which were tasty. They take good care of you until the end. You can have unlimited rice and eggs. The side dishes were also delicious. At the end, they served ice cream with cherry blossom flavor, which was also tasty.

I went around noon, right at 12 o'clock, and despite it being a weekday, there was a 120-minute wait at the popular restaurant. I decided to line up and although I had to wait for an hour, the meal was definitely worth it. I had the lunch sukiyaki set. The staff cooked it for me at first, and then I could cook it myself however I liked. They gave me instructions at the beginning, so I was able to enjoy it throughout. The rice was delicious, and the hojicha and sencha were also very tasty. I plan to make a reservation for my next visit.

I went to Imahan, a famous restaurant in Asakusa! I had been looking forward to this visit since last autumn and finally got to go for the second time. I decided to go all out and chose the Kobe beef champion course. Among the champion 10 cattle, there are only 2 or 3 female cows, which are rare. The appearance of the meat was amazing, but I was surprised by the vibrant color change when it was cooked! It melted in my mouth!! It was so luxurious and delicious! It looks like it's going to be a good year!

January 1, 2023 (Sunday) Annual event, Imahan New Year's party. I was worried about the COVID situation, but everyone was able to gather in good health. The top-quality marbled sukiyaki set was delicious, price unknown. I played it safe with sparkling wine instead of sake due to the pandemic, but the sukiyaki and sparkling wine went well together. The sukiyaki itself was consistently delicious!

This time, I visited the famous restaurant Asakusa Imahan that I had always wanted to go to. Reservations are required to get in, so make sure to book in advance. The day I visited, it was fully booked. I enjoyed the Sukiyaki set meal (fillet).
- The appetizers and starters were elegantly flavored and very delicious. They were satisfying enough on their own. I particularly liked the clams and yellowtail.
- The main Sukiyaki dish melted in my mouth and made me smile uncontrollably. The fin, which was so delicious and melted in the mouth, was a first for me. The vegetables were all tasty, and personally, I liked the crunchy shirataki noodles. There were also some rare ingredients like white shimeji mushrooms that are not commonly found in stores.
- I was served green tea and dessert, and the hojicha tea was from a reputable tea company called Uogashi Meicha, and it was exquisite. The dessert consisted of strawberries, melon, and oranges. The sweetness of the melon was impressive.
- The hospitality was top-notch. When I first entered, I was left unattended for a while, but another staff member noticed and from then on, it was impeccable service. They brought out the dishes at just the right time, adjusted the broth perfectly, and even offered to replace the eggs or tea at the right moments. It felt like they had surveillance cameras or something! I felt the professionalism throughout. It's a bit pricey, so I can't come here casually, but I would like to visit again on a special occasion. Thank you for the feast!

In Asakusa's Hisago Street, there are charming and quaint shops lining the street, and Super Izumi, a grocery store, is no exception. Near the entrance, enticing words like "Broccoli 100 yen" and "Onion 30 yen" are displayed. To top it off, there is a sign for PayPay with "20%" written on it. This sign can be seen in various shops around Asakusa, which is in Taito Ward. Taito Ward is running a PayPay campaign, offering a 20% point rebate when using PayPay for payment at participating stores. With already affordable prices at Super Izumi, plus the cashback from PayPay, there is no reason not to shop here. I had a peculiar experience of buying vegetables for next week's meals at a local grocery store while traveling. Since I didn't have a shopping bag, I packed vegetables like Chinese cabbage, broccoli, and shiitake mushrooms in my travel backpack. I headed to Asakusa Imahan with my backpack full of vegetables. It was around 11:00 in the morning, and the lunch service started at 11:30. There was one customer ahead of me. Within 5 minutes, a long line formed behind me, mostly consisting of travelers with large bags, many of whom seemed to have their bags filled mostly with vegetables like me. I entered the restaurant at 11:30 and ordered the famous Sukiyaki lunch set for 4400 yen. The colorful thinly sliced black wagyu beef and carefully arranged vegetables were served. The elegant waitress in a kimono graciously cooked the meat and vegetables for us. The perfectly cooked meat with a sweet sauce was delicious, and the rice was also delightful. However, the portion of vegetables seemed a bit small compared to the amount of meat. I thought about taking out the Chinese cabbage I bought from Super Izumi, but I refrained from doing so out of respect for the elegant waitress. I could already imagine her elegantly rolling up her kimono sleeves and coming at me with a punch.

The Kobe beef course was truly enjoyable, as expected from the most expensive option. The meat was undeniably delicious. The appetizers, including the fish, were also good. Unlike Imahan in Ningyocho, the service wasn't constantly hovering; we had more time alone as a couple as the meal went on. (Maybe they were being considerate?)

The other day, I visited the famous Imahan restaurant in Asakusa! When I arrived, the male staff member seemed a bit confused and didn't approach me until I mentioned that my companion was already inside. Eventually, he showed me to our table. We had a course meal that included: beef simmered in soy sauce for the appetizer, seared sweet sea bream with rice vinegar and ikura for the starter, assorted seafood and vegetables for the appetizer, two pieces of seared Himeji beef sushi (one with lean meat, one with marbled meat) for the palate cleanser, charcoal-grilled Himeji beef cubes with various seasonings for the main dish, a sukiyaki hot pot with a variety of vegetables, rice, red miso soup, and a chef's choice dessert. The food was beautifully presented and delicious, living up to the reputation of this renowned restaurant. I would definitely consider visiting again in the future.

I finally went to a long-established sukiyaki restaurant that I've always wanted to visit (^-^) I opted for the indulgent two-tiered lunch set that I've been craving. The atmosphere and service at the restaurant were classic and made me feel luxurious. The beef was black wagyu, so there was nothing to complain about - it was tender and incredibly delicious. Even the tofu absorbed the flavors well, and everything was truly delicious! Next time, I'll go for the sukiyaki!

I was in Asakusa, so I decided to visit this famous place. I used to get bento boxes for work, but this was my first time at the actual restaurant. When I called around 11 am to make a reservation, they said they were fully booked but I could come and wait for an available seat. They warned me that it would be difficult to get a seat after 11:30 am because there were already people lining up. So, I went to the restaurant right away and waited in line for about 20 minutes under the harsh sunlight, using my umbrella as a shade. Finally, at 11:30 am, we were able to enter. My wife and kids had sukiyaki donburi, while I had a two-tiered bento box. It was hot, so I ordered a beer and changed into a T-shirt in the restroom, making it more comfortable. Both the steak and sukiyaki were delicious. The broth was exceptional, making the tofu and shirataki noodles incredibly tasty. The only mistake I made was not eating the sukiyaki on the spot, as it could have been prepared fresh. It cost around 4,400 yen, which seemed like a great deal compared to what others were receiving for dinner service. My wife and I agreed that we should come back for the sukiyaki next time.
