The quality of the seafood bowl is not particularly high, but considering the price, it's a good option to easily enjoy fish. They also offer shaved ice and milk ice, which I recommend more. The shaved ice is the typical kind you find at a festival, so nothing really special, but at 200 yen, it's a good deal to cool off. The milk ice is 600 yen, which is still affordable. They serve a generous portion of fluffy milk ice with various flavors to choose from. While there may not be anything extraordinary about it, the variety of flavors and consistency make it a reliable option. As a milk ice vendor, I would definitely come back if I pass by again.

In Taito Ward, there is a takeout seafood bowl shop called "Kuraya." It is more stylish than other seafood bowl shops commonly seen in the area. It is rare to have a ticket machine. I recommend the poke bowl with avocado and marinated tuna. I ordered the "Tuna Lover's Bowl" for 780 yen and the "Soup of the Day" for 150 yen. The quality of the fresh tuna in various cuts is excellent and well worth the price. The miso soup of the day has a rich and fragrant taste, with ingredients that seem to be sautéed. I would love to have seconds of it. It would make for a delicious lunch even if eaten in the car. It's a comforting place to take a break. Thank you, Kuraya!

I noticed a shaved ice flag while walking by. Someone was enjoying a takeout shaved ice. It looked delicious, so I planned to stop by on my way back around 2 pm, but they were closed for a break. The next day, I went early to inquire and found out they close at 2 pm, but reopen for evening business at 5 pm. I love condensed milk shaved ice, so this time I ordered the pistachio milk shaved ice. It had a fluffy and smooth texture, and they use frozen sweet milk for the shaved ice. It's recommended for those who like milk with sugar. For those who prefer condensed milk, it may not be the best choice. It's a matter of preference, so it can be tricky. For those who like milk, I recommend trying their other shaved ice options starting from 150 yen, which is quite reasonable.

When I walked by Kuraya, I saw a shaved ice flag outside and couldn't resist going in. They had shaved ice menu on the ticket machine, starting from 150 yen, but they didn't have red beans and had many milk-based options. I purchased a ticket for Matcha Milk (350 yen). It's a small takeout shop, so the inside is cramped. After waiting for about 5 minutes, the shaved ice was ready. It was raining outside, so I ate inside. The Matcha Milk shaved ice was different from what I imagined, more like Taiwanese shaved ice style. It was like frozen Matcha Milk sliced, not the same type of ice as Ice Monster. The texture was fluffy, and it was actually quite good, and for a Taiwanese style shaved ice, it was inexpensive.

On April 24th (Friday) at 12:30, I visited a restaurant where there were about 2 customers waiting. I ordered a seafood bowl for 540 yen. It was ready in about 5 minutes. The ingredients included two types of tuna, gizzard shad, salmon, minced tuna with green onions, flying fish roe, peeled shrimp, and cucumber. The vinegar rice was on the lighter side. It's a good option when you want a quick and light meal with sashimi. The tuna sashimi rice bowl also looked delicious, so I'd like to try it on my next visit.

A takeout-only seafood bowl shop near Kuramae Elementary School. You buy a meal ticket inside the shop and place your order. This time, I ordered the tuna bowl. It includes lean tuna, negitoro, lotus root, and tamagoyaki. The tuna is delicious, and the rice is cooked perfectly. The bowl is compact but just the right size for an average person, and at 640 yen, I thought it was a good value. It seems like they also sell shaved ice.

Order: Seafood bowl 680 yen
Rating of food and drink: Although it is a takeout specialty store, the seafood bowl was good quality for the price. The ingredients in the seafood bowl were 2 types of tuna, salmon, squid, konoshiro, negitoro, shrimp, anago, cucumber, egg, lotus root, and pickled ginger. The quality of the ingredients was good for the price, but a bit on the thin side. The pickled ginger lacked freshness and was not the best. The rice was a bit firm, but I prefer it a bit softer.
Revisit: I would revisit when I want to eat a seafood bowl at a reasonable price.

When I went to see the festival at Torikoshi Shrine, I saw a flag on the roadside and decided to go in. The specialty seemed to be seafood bowl, but on a hot afternoon, I asked for shaved ice. Eating shaved ice makes you feel like summer has arrived. In the midst of the rainy season, eating shaved ice for the first time in a while in the humid heat was exquisite.

I had lunch at the takeout restaurant "Kuraya" in Kuramae yesterday. I ordered the "Maguro Zukushi Donburi (¥680)" and paid with PayPay to take advantage of the campaign discount, getting a 20% points back, making it effectively ¥544. They prepared my order in about 3-4 minutes. The tuna bowl was well cooked and the quality of the fish was good. It was delicious and the quality was definitely not compromised by the affordable price. It was a great system that saved time, was efficient, nutritious, and overall excellent.

Last night, I decided to have an affordable eel dinner through takeout. I remembered that there was a PayPay campaign starting from last month, called the "Taito Ward 20% off campaign." It's not a nationwide campaign, but... I decided to go to a takeout-only shop called "Kuraya" (photo 1). In photo 2, you can see the menu displayed in front of the shop. Despite the light rain, I went during the evening hours from 5:00 pm. I ordered the "Unagi Chirashi (regular size)" priced at ¥680 (tax included). With a ¥136 point back, it came down to ¥544 in reality. You can't find eel at this price nowadays. It's a really good deal... During this campaign period this month, I plan to use it repeatedly as much as possible. End.

Taiwanese-style shaved ice is available for dine-in at this restaurant. You enter the restaurant and find the ticket machine on your right. You order through the ticket machine and then they start preparing your food. I made a reservation over the phone and was able to pick up my order at 5:00 PM. I tried the Poke (tuna) for 640 yen (tax included) and the Duck Chirashi for 640 yen (tax included). The Poke, a popular Hawaiian local food, was delicious with tuna, avocado, shredded egg, and sesame oil. The Duck Chirashi, with sliced duck breast and green onions in a Japanese-style sauce, was also very tasty. The menu includes various rice bowls in regular and large sizes, as well as a summer dessert called Shaved Ice. The Shaved Ice is made with soft water and costs 150 yen (tax included). It comes in flavors like strawberry, Blue Hawaii, pineapple, cola, coffee, and matcha. They also offer Milk Ice for 350 yen (tax included), which is shaved milk ice with various toppings like condensed milk, chocolate sauce, and caramel sauce. They have seasonal specials like Milk Ruby Chocolate for 550 yen (tax included).
