A Chinese hot pot restaurant located in Ikebukuro Sunshine City. During lunchtime, they don't serve hot pot, so I had the Eight Treasures Set and Beef Noodle. It was moderately busy on the weekend, but we were able to get seated smoothly. There are many other restaurants in the area, so I look forward to visiting again.

During the summer vacation event with my granddaughter, we visited the "Sunshine Aquarium" as the last stop. Despite it being a weekday before the Bon Festival, it was still quite crowded. We were exhausted and decided to enter a restaurant in the dining area. Luckily, we were seated in a semi-private room at Juuraku, which allowed us to enjoy our meal in peace. I ordered the C Lunch set which included Negi Char Siu noodles and mixed fried rice, while my wife had the shrimp wonton set. The fried rice was delicious and had a unique flavor typical of authentic Chinese cuisine. The Char Siu pork in the noodles was also flavorful and had a good texture. However, the soup was a bit lukewarm, which was a bit disappointing. Overall, it was a pleasant dining experience, and I look forward to returning with my wife for a more leisurely meal next time.

I arrived at the restaurant around 11:30 on Sunday and it was quite busy. After some consideration, I decided to order the hot and sour soup noodles and dumplings, which I hadn't had in a while. The hot and sour soup noodles had a spicy flavor, more like Sichuan pepper maybe? The person I was with added chili oil to make it spicier, but I found it to be not too spicy and not too sour, making it easy to eat. The dish was full of ingredients and the portion was generous. The food arrived quickly! The dumplings had a chewy skin and were filled with plenty of ingredients. I forgot to mention after eating them... The restaurant was lively with many families and children, probably due to the holiday.

Hello, this is Pome (*^^*) It has been getting really hot recently, hasn't it? I feel like I'm sweating all the time (; ;) My family and I went to Ikebukuro for an outing! We visited Sunshine City for the first time in a while! Even during outings, you get hungry, right? It is said that hot food is good for hot days, right? This time, we visited "Chu," a Chinese hot pot restaurant, for lunch! We ordered the "Thick Braised Pork Ramen"! Even though it's a hot pot restaurant, ramen? That's what I thought too. But you know, it looked so delicious when I saw it at the next table, and before I knew it, I had ordered it (≧∀≦) After a while, the ramen arrived. It smelled good, the braised pork was thick and delicious! The thin noodles were mixed with the thick braised pork, creating a rich and delicious flavor. The soy sauce-based soup, the flavorful marinated egg, and the crunchy choy sum were a perfect match! I want to eat it again! Thank you for the meal♪

It's raining heavily outside so I decided to have lunch inside Sunshine Building after a long time. As expected, everywhere is crowded. At times like this, it's best to go to a big restaurant. This place looks expensive at first glance, so not many tourists come in. However, the weekday lunch is only 1,100 yen. You can also have unlimited rice. The meat and vegetable stir-fry has plenty of meat. The seasoning is not too strong and it's much more delicious compared to chain restaurants.

The restaurant serves hot pot, but they also offer lunch menus on holidays. The prices range from 1,000 to 2,000 yen, which is cost-effective. You can have noodles with fried rice, and the set meals come with free extra servings, so you won't leave feeling hungry. They serve jasmine tea in pots, and the seating is not too crowded, so you can relax and feel like you're getting a good deal.

The salt wonton noodles and half-fried rice soup have a very gentle taste. The wontons are smooth and have a nice texture. The fried rice is simple and has a rustic flavor. It's more about stability than hitting the jackpot. It cost around 1400 yen. It's a good option when you're stuck on where to go for lunch.

I went in because it said "medicinal hot pot to rest the stomach," but it turned out to be Chinese cuisine. It wasn't the kind of Chinese food that Japanese people usually like; it was too spicy and had strong flavors. I tried to share the taste, but there was too much food and I couldn't finish it all. It was a bit disappointing.

Sunshine City Alba Restaurant Floor, I couldn't read the kanji of the store name, maybe it's read as Shu. The floor was crowded, but it seemed a bit different from the usual casual atmosphere, so we were able to enter relatively smoothly. The space between seats was wide, they even took care of our baby stroller and provided a baby chair. The tables were spacious, and there were also sofa seats and round tables. The A, B, C lunch options allowed you to choose the main dish or type of noodles, making it great for families or sharing. We were able to try a variety of dishes little by little. The authentic Sichuan hot pot mapo tofu was hot, spicy, and delicious. The shrimp wonton noodles and five-flavored fried rice were also tasty, giving us a wide range of flavors to enjoy. The warm jasmine tea was a nice touch. The restaurant originally specializes in hot pot, with electric heating panels on the tables. I wonder if we should come back at night for a course meal. We had a leisurely late lunch and enjoyed the convenient Chinese cuisine. Thank you for the meal.

We used the restaurant for lunch on Respect for the Aged Day with relatives. The interior of the restaurant was spacious with many large tables, and there were kids' chairs and tableware available. We arrived just before noon on the holiday, so we were seated right away, but it quickly became full. This time, we added a single hot pot to our lunch set. The hot pot had a richly flavored soup, and the ingredients soaked in the soup were delicious. We ordered a combination of meat and vegetables, as well as noodles, and sharing them among three adults was just right.

Ikebukuro, Sunshine City Alpa 3rd floor restaurant street, Chinese restaurant. For fans of the old Pekin Restaurant, they may understand the significance of this place. After the closure of "Ikebukuro Pekin Restaurant," this restaurant space was split with the adjacent buffet restaurant. This restaurant may have been known for its hot pot. This time, I simply had lunch there. In conclusion, it left me with a somewhat unbalanced impression and didn't quite suit my taste. I ordered "Shrimp and Tomato Egg Stir-Fry," "Mapo Noodles + Dim Sum Combo" (each 1,200 yen), and "Set - Water Dumplings" (150 yen) - as shown in the photos. The shrimp and tomato egg stir-fry had only four small shrimp, and the flavor was mainly balanced with salt. The mapo noodles had a powdery texture with low water content. The mapo sauce didn't have the authentic Sichuan cuisine feel, lacking the distinct use of chili peppers and Sichuan peppercorns. I have noticed that many Chinese restaurants in Ikebukuro West have chefs who studied Sichuan cuisine at cooking schools in Beijing, resulting in a different interpretation of Sichuan cuisine. The use of chili peppers, Sichuan peppercorns, and oil seemed to lack a native touch. Even the chili oil added didn't have an authentic taste. The dim sum and water dumplings felt like high-end convenience store items. The overall experience felt like mass-produced Chinese cuisine lacking in liveliness. While the restaurant's ambiance seemed well thought out, there was a noticeable disconnect between the taste of the dishes and the overall atmosphere. It felt unbalanced. The ingredients and seasonings used may be of good quality individually, but the lack of unity and coherence in the dishes was evident. Perhaps the dishes were not produced with a comprehensive approach in mind. It reminded me of people who prioritize knowledge and blindly worship the original store's flavor or overly revere history. They might not understand the true essence of flavors and end up misusing condiments like sprinkling Kyoto's Hara Ryougu's shichimi on Edo-style soba. This kind of behavior dilutes the original flavors. It's a waste. (By Kyonatsu Shuukuu, 7/19/2022)

The fried egg set meal was delicious, with a surprising amount of scallops. The fluffy eggs with the crunchy texture of wood ear mushrooms added a nice touch. The seasoning was not too strong, giving it an elegant flavor. It was very tasty. The set meal also came with almond jelly soup for exactly 1,000 yen. It's a great value for money. If it's a menu you like, it's a must-try for weekday lunch.

A shop in Sunshine City. The interior is clean and the service by Chinese staff is very polite. I ordered the tantanmen and shark fin dumplings set. The tantanmen is very rich and delicious. Personally, I think it's delicious with the stir-fried cashew nuts. I will definitely visit again when I come to Ikebukuro. It's a delicious Chinese restaurant.

On our first visit, I went to Ikebukuro with my wife for lunch at this restaurant in Sunshine City. I ordered the "exquisite tantanmen" and "steamed dumplings with crab meat and shark fin" set (1,620 yen), while my wife ordered the "C lunch" (1,620 yen) with "shrimp wonton noodles" and "five-flavor fried rice". We were served jasmine tea. The dishes arrived one by one after a 5-minute wait. The tantanmen had a rich sesame flavor and plenty of nuts, giving it a fragrant taste. The noodles were straight and thin, but unfortunately, they were lukewarm. The shark fin dumplings had a firm texture unique to shark fin, but the crab meat was not very noticeable. The shrimp wonton noodles had a refreshing salt soup, with firm wontons and crisp watercress in a refined seasoning. The five-flavor fried rice was of a fluffy type with the characteristic red char siu of Chinese cuisine. It had a slight unique taste that I did not prefer, but my wife liked it. The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice, and we were seated in a spacious area, allowing us to enjoy a leisurely lunch.

I didn't have hot pot, but I had shrimp wonton noodles with a very clear broth soup with a hint of yuzu fragrance. The vegetables were crunchy like a salad, and the thin noodles were smooth. The wontons enclosed the flavor of shrimp well, and it was nice to have plenty of chewy bamboo shoots.

I personally liked the spacious seating at this restaurant. I'm not a fan of cluttered atmospheres, so I appreciate the setup of this place. The food itself was of good quality. I especially recommend the sesame-fried dumplings. The flavor that spreads as soon as you bite into them is simply delicious. I would definitely revisit this restaurant when I go to Sunshine City.

Walking along Meiji Street on a Toei bus, I noticed the strong sunlight and shade intermingling as the wipers finally started to clear the large front window. I tried to avoid the raindrops coming through the open window gaps by moving closer to the window. I got off the bus near Ikebukuro Station, determined to watch the movie "Yokai Ningen Vera" at 2:05 PM. After struggling to find my seat at the movie theater, I decided to explore a restaurant in the area. I ended up choosing a Chinese restaurant called "Ju" and ordered their specialty Sichuan-style Mapo Tofu. The dish was not as spicy as expected, but the quality of the ingredients was reassuring. I contemplated getting a rice refill but hesitated, eventually deciding to go for it. The total bill came to 1,304 yen, and I would rate the restaurant somewhere between a spaghetti restaurant and a casual dining spot.

We went out for lunch together after finishing our errands with my wife again! We had a good experience dining here for dinner before, so I was curious about their lunch menu. My wife ordered the creamy pork belly ramen, which had a soy sauce-based soup with tender pork belly, flavorful marinated egg, crunchy bok choy, and smooth, chewy egg noodles. It was surprisingly delicious and my wife enjoyed it. I opted for the dim sum set with black vinegar sweet and sour pork as the main dish. The dim sum took a while to steam, but the rest of the dishes arrived quickly. Everything was served piping hot, including the sweet and sour pork that was too hot to chew (laughs). The rice was also hot and slightly soft, but tasty. The egg drop soup had a nice thick texture and was delicious despite usually not being great at other places. The ingredients were tender and the sweet and sour pork had tender meat with a good tangy flavor from the black vinegar. And you can get rice refills! I was getting full even before the dim sum arrived! The dim sum was decent. The almond jelly dessert was also alright. The draft beer we had in the afternoon was still the best! Thank you for the meal. They also offer hot pot for lunch, so I think they will bring a separate menu for that. I would like to come back for hot pot next time.

Before going to the movie, I took a walk around Sunshine City and decided to have a light meal at the food court. Originally planning to go to a beef tongue restaurant, unfortunately it was closed, so I ended up ordering from this nearby restaurant. I ordered Mapo Tofu with Pork and Stir-fried Three-color Bell Peppers. First, the stir-fried pork and three-color bell peppers were delicious. The sauce, which was thick and had a base of Mapo Tofu, mixed well with the pork and bamboo shoots. And as a side, the Mega Highball was amazing with a strong carbonation. The main dish, Mapo Tofu, arrived sizzling hot on a hot plate. The soft tofu and Sichuan pepper-based sauce were authentic and paired perfectly with the Highball.

In Sunshine City in Ikebukuro, there is a Chinese restaurant (^ω^). It gets quite crowded during lunchtime! The restaurant is spacious and has an open atmosphere. The menu is also reasonably priced. I wanted something light for lunch, so I ordered the cold noodles! It looked beautiful and tasted delicious. I was feeling a bit of summer fatigue, so the smooth texture was refreshing. I love cold noodles at Chinese restaurants, so I thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm curious about other dishes on the menu, so I'd like to try more next time. Thank you for the meal m(_ _)m.
