Cold prevention is essential as it can cool your stomachFinally, from the October event onwards, Takano Fruit Parlor's Order Buffet has become a fully online reservation system! Until August, reservations were made by phone or in-store on the 25th of each month. From the September event, the Shinjuku Takashimaya Store and Ikebukuro Tobu Store switched to online reservations, and from the October event, the Keikyu Kamiooka Store and Kawagoe Maruhiro Store also switched to online reservations. I heard rumors that at certain stores, you had to win a fierce flag battle at the opening dash to make a reservation, so maybe safety was a consideration. Anyway, it's good that the reservation method has changed to a peaceful one (a year ago, you could even make a reservation the day after the reservation start date, indicating its considerable popularity). This year, I went to Shinjuku in search of the "Fig and Persimmon Parfait"✨It's gone up by 1,100 yen since last year~w Seats are assigned to those who reserve early, and the order of items is also provided in the order of reservations, so it seems better to reserve early. But with three hours available, there should be little need to worry about running out of time, unless you can eat more than 10 items (those who can eat a lot). Since it's Halloween season in October, there's also a Halloween parfait♪ The Halloween parfait varies by store, so it's fun to check it out on the website. The Halloween parfait at the Shinjuku Takashimaya Store featured moon cookies, ghost cakes made of mochi, and a cross cake. Grapes, raspberries, blueberries, persimmons, etc... a variety of fruits in abundance! It was a visually appealing parfait with a wide variety of fruits. The Fig and Persimmon Parfait features sweet persimmons and fresh figs♪ Grapes, pears, chestnuts, and more all lived up to their deliciousness! As expected of Takano's fruits✨Delicious no matter where you take a bite, enjoying the autumn harvest♡ The highlight was the "Chestnut and Pear Plate Dessert" - a long Mont Blanc cream pie on top of a glass shortcake with chestnuts and pears, resembling the Marina Bay Sands. The voluminous appearance, crispy pie, and the fragrant almond tuile made me fall in love☆ I wanted to eat everything, so I ate too much this time (but looking back, I wish I had tried the pear parfait...). It seems like a good deal (I can't remember because my stomach was hurting too much), but apparently, the double points day, which is usually not available at buffets, was applied specially, and we received 12,000 yen worth of points. For two people, you can almost complete it in a day (25,000 yen for a 500 yen shopping voucher. A return rate of 2% is a bit stingy, but...) I wonder how long it will last... I should have listened carefully to the explanation (useless). Parfaits can be tough in the cold season, but if the seasonal menu strikes a chord, I'll put a heat pack on my stomach and visit again. I also want to try the stores in Ikebukuro and Kawagoe. Online reservations are truly appreciated!
